Alegre Farm provided our daughter with the Rustic Wedding that she and her husband dreamed of having. Pretty venue, but terrible management and over promises and under delivers. We were told all these renovations were going to get done before or wedding...never happened. We got the run around for months and was lied to multiple times. Our poor wedding coordinators who were hired by Pilar (owner of Alegre) for my wedding were never paid!! Now a month after the wedding and they still haven't been paid... Shady owner, shady management, and worst experience ever. What a waste of a lot of money!!! Awful management, paid for services that weren't even provided. The coordinator was full of attitude and not friendly the day of the event. Would not recommend this place for anyone. Overall horrible experience and the people there are only money hungry; aren't looking to make your day special. read more

This farm is awesome! Great to contact with nature! Has 2 gazebos that they rent for parties and and a large room/area for events like weddings, parties, etc. has a big kitchen and restrooms. Owners are friendly and the place looks great. They have animals for petting like Fanny the cow, horses, goats, ram, bunnies, etc. very nice, specially in spring or fall. read more

Wow, a friend of ours just had her son's birthday party here and my kids loved it! I wish my kids had warm weather birthdays so I could have their parties here. We have been to all the Monkey Joe's and Chucky Cheese's but this beats all of these. The kids get to ride a pony, play on the inflatable slides, go on a hayride, and then go to the petting zoo and among many things, milk a goat! It was a drive to get here but worth it after seeing the joy in all the kids' faces. Relatively clean bathrooms out in the middle of a farm to boot! read more

This was my first visit to Alegre Farm. I hung out with Dr. Jamie LaPrairie for the GAPS Workshop. Dr. LaPrairie's presentation was very informative. Perhaps the farm would be good for outdoor events for children. The GAPS workshop was held indoor and the temperature of the room was quite uncomfortable. On a hot summer day, ceiling fans were utilize intead of the A/C. Not cool...literally! read more

I had a great experience at Rancho Alegre! My friend did her daugther's birthday party and it was awesome, my niece and nephew had a great time riding the horse and petting the animals, it was a great way to get closer to nature! Plus Bobby and Karen make it more special spending time with us, the passion and love with what they talk and do what they do is very impresive! We just attended a field trip at this farm. It was not very well kept with many broken fences. The hay ride went around a junky barn. The animals were worm bloated, poor foot care and never brushed. The garden was a joke. It was more weeds than food. I would not pay to go here again! Response: I am educated in the FAMACHA standard and know it is one way to determine anemia due to worms in goats. However, in veterinary school we are taught that it is the least effective of all non-invasive worm and parasite infestation detection methods. You need to examine your parasite/ worm routine. Also, animals should be wormed on a rotational basis. If you wormed in February then your animals are due to be wormed again. In addition, your animals hooves were very much outside of the normal range. I am aware of normal footcare practices for livestock. Your animals are not well care for and I say that as a well educated person with a veterinary degree. read more
