Went here After Mad Donnas. I really really liked it for the service, food and customers. No I was not drinking and I was no scoping out anyone. However people were Nice here. The servers the customers and the food looked pretty dang good. Chatted with a guy and his girl and the nachos looked great, pizza amazing and the salad made me want to order one although the pizza had my attention. I went to chat with a friend who had beer. Ok really?!?! I Do t drink beer but 2 for 1 is pretty tempting and wine by the glass is also very reasonable at 5 or 7 dollars per glass. Wish I Loved beer. Would be awesome. Beyond the edge is another place that has put up with my friends and I's rowdy debauchery. With an interesting crowd of patrons, I can tell why Beyond the Edge might not be everyone's favorite place, but regardless it's one of mine. The food is bar food, so don't expect a culinary masterpiece, but the bar itself is good times (especially if you bring your own party). Getting food and drinks takes a while, but with is bar table maze set up it's hard for the servers to get around to everyone. With ever so distracting pool tables and a dart boards it's the kind of place that you can put down a few and not notice. I think Beyond the Edge goes from A-Ok to Yay I'm a Fan because of their 2-4-1 which lets me walk out the door with a beer coupon for later visit if I just don't feel like having that extra beer. I've only been here once but I was really surprised by the crowd. I expected the normal artsy East Nashville crowd but I found a mixture of college kids, would-be bikers and muzz buzzers like myself. It's real open and casual, really sports bar-ish. I loved the feel. I actually walked in the bathroom on some girls that were comparing bras with one another. Very interesting. Food wise I had their quesadilla, which was pretty good, but I ended up stealing my friend's curly fries, which were AMAZING. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress cuz she was a hoot. There was barely anybody else in the place.... and we ordered fairly simple things.. so I don't understand why it took what felt like and probably was 45minutes for lunch. Usually end up at Beyond The Edge on a late Saturday night after roaming around from place to place. Yeah the place is rather smoky, but im a smoker so i fit right in unfortunately! Great beer selections although I choose the same thing over and over again. I'm a big fan of Yazoo Dos Perros and this is the only bar in East Nashville I like to enjoy a couple of drafts. Looking around in the bar, it seems like a great place to do "bar" things (pool, darts, trivia, etc.). Serivce is on point and never had any problems. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! The only reason this place is even getting one star from me, is because I can't make a review without one. Too many times, my girlfriend and I have gone into this East Nashville bar giving them chance after chance to redeem themselves of shitty attitudes, but they obviously could care less. I actually really like Beyond The Edge but don't get there as much as I used to since I've moved. This is a great place to hang out with an excellent beer selection. Weekend evenings can get a little crowed and with that crowd there is usually alot of smokers. If you don't want to go home smelling like an ashtray your best bet may be the patio. They have a couple of heaters out there so it can be quiet comfortable. They also have buzztime trivia to keep you entertained. The menu has excellent and delicious options for both carnivores and veg heads. Parking is always a problem, they have their own parking lot which is always full even when there isn't a crowd. read more

I've been here a few times to watch various sporting events...and apparently so has everyone else in East Nashville. BTE is a great sports bar in the way sports bars are classically awesome...lots of TVs, good fried bites, pool tables...smoke...it's pretty much a classic. I am a huge fan of coming here as the service is always good, even during playoff games where's it's unbelievably packed. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and are nestled behind the bustling Five Points area. Parking is limited but street parking is usually available. On busy nights seating is also limited as well. However, it's cheap prices and good service and lots of sports watching, so it's worth the trip across the river. read more

After going to Beyond the Edge today I have to say I will not be going back. The service is atrocious and the server we had had a bad attitude, and disappeared from the table. He never asked us if we wanted another beer. Then I tried to use my two-for-one beer coupon and apparently they specify certain times you can use your two-for-one ticket. It's funny next-door to Beyond the Edge is Drifters, a bar which allows you to use your two-for-one coupon whenever you want. I had to pay for my lunch at the bar because the waiter never came back to the table at the end. It was a very strange experience. read more

This is a pretty cool place, if you ignore the goofy extreme sports motif, as everyone else has said. The quesdillas are good, and my wife adores the amaretto chicken salad. We learned from the waiter that the best way to get it is with extra meat. She pairs that up with a tropical fruit salad and then melts in the booth when it arrives. The beer selection is good and the East Nashville crowds are fun. They do show a lot of the local sports on television - Predators hockey, Titans football - so take that as a positive or negative. The patio seating is nice on the warmer days (or nights). Parking can be a little bit of a pain. They've go their own parking lot, but it seems to be borrowed by some of the other local businesses, plus the lack of lines create a bunch of crappy parking. read more

After running the marathon, Beyond the Edge was a nice place to relax and enjoy a beautiful afternoon. The interior is very airy and has the feel of a covered patio. The wait staff was friendly for the most part, although a few seemed to be suffering from the night before. I had the Buffalo Chicken melt and had really high hopes after reading the description. The grilled sandwich did have a nice Buffalo flavor, but it was very dry and I had to ask for ranch to dip it in. My wife had the chicken quesadilla and I have to say that was rather tasty. Good food, good service. Tends to be a little loud but it's a sports bar so you have to expect that. Usually some form of a drink special if you drink beer. 2-4-1 well drinks seem to be quite a bit less frequent than beer. My wife and I were excited about eating here after seeing the menu online. We drove from Mt. Juliet walked inside, saw people smoking and the nasty stench of cigarette smoke and turned around and walked out. Came to Beyond to have some drinks with friends early in the evening. Our server was Kim C and service was incredibly slow to the point we felt ignored. After having empty drinks for 30 minutes we had to ask her for our checks as she walked by again with not checking in on us. She then rudely placed the checks on the corner of the table. Being a neighborhood bar with neighborhood patrons you need a sense of urgency and accommodation even with a large section. Very very disappointed in my experience will not be back. read more
