She was always warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful whenever questions came up regarding fees, renewals, or membership matters. She consistently made the experience feel personal and easy. Since then, my son has attended both camp and several Parents' Night events, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kids World. The entire team is exceptional. I have experience with other children's camps, and Dasha Nonkin, the Kids Club Manager, really stood out. She was thorough, kind, organized, and very detail-oriented. It is clear that she takes tremendous pride in the camp program and in creating a meaningful experience for the children. My son was treated like gold. He did incredibly well, learned so much, and came away with stronger social skills, a better understanding of teamwork, and so much enthusiasm for the arts and crafts, projects, and activities. He genuinely raved about his experience and wants to continue to join future camps! He was extremely polite, accommodating, and helpful and wanted to make sure that our experience was not only great for the adults but also the children. He checked on his routinely to ensure that all of our needs were met. I highly recommend going to The Plex for sports viewing with friends and with families. The adults enjoyed drinks, wings, salads, pizzas, sushi while the kiddos ran around and played at the arcade, the bounce house and with the soft soccer ball in the open spaces. For the main entree, we had a steak (medium rare) with unique onions (?balsamic grilled?) with broccolini that we enjoyed whereas the fish was a little on the dry side over a bed of rissoto. Dessert was creme brulee (good) and a chocolate forest cake (did not taste that great but maybe I don't like cherries like that.) Live music with guitar and singing was occurring in the lounge. That was lovely but it was a little too loud. The atmosphere is nice-- bar area with some table seating in the lounge area. We also liked the patio terrace outside which has fire pits and outdoor games. It has a lovely view of the downtown. (And remember that it does not get dark in San Jose in summers until around 9pm). There's plenty of parking in back, but you'll have to use the nifty stoplight system to get back there; the driveway is only one car wide. I honestly wasn't sure if Monster Jam would be one of those things that was mostly exciting for the kids, but nope ! The adults were just as into it. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, helpful and genuinely nice, which makes such a difference when you're there with a big group and kids. Everything felt organized and easy from the time we arrived. The trucks, the noise, the tricks, the whole atmosphere... it was just SUCH a good time. One of those nights where everyone leaves talking about how much fun they had. If you've never been to Monster Jam, GO. Kids, adults, grandparents... apparently it works for everyone. Our daughter had been taking swimming lessons from Coach Tyler for a year and a half by now. With…read morehis coaching, she has progressed tremendously from being timid around the water to enthusiastically jumping in whenever she can. She has learned the basics of backstroke and freestyle, and had just started on the breaststroke and treading. He has made swimming fun and approachable and she looked forward to the weekly lessons. Each lesson ended in a fun time (usually with Tyler spinning her around on a large mat above and onto the water - it takes a lot of energy and yet he still does it for each student). 5 stars for Coach Tyler! - 1 star (for a total of 4 stars) for the administration. We learned by surprise that our lessons were about to end, by a chance phone call we'd made asking about the following week's schedule, only to find out that our private classes would end with the end of the month (which was 2 days away). While we could understand the business need, an earlier proactive communication would have been appreciated.
