If youre like an upper novice powerlifter and youre like me, this place is 3 minutes from my house…read moredriving, theres a bathroom, shower, and its like $13 to get out of the house 3 times a week. Before this I was spending exactly the same amount of time doomscrolling on my phone per night. The staff are all absolute sweethearts, theyre always working and cleaning. The bathrooms are gross in ANY gym, it can get gnarly here but I've never had to do the big one here. You just need to accept that. Everybody says hi, the entire PF stigma around big lifting is completely unfounded for this location. I go 2-3 wheels on the big lifts and nobody cares, no stares, didn't set the alarm off. It makes noise when I rack it. Nobody has ever once spoke to me. I'm on week 7. It's only going to get bigger. The price is so cheap I've literally paid $26 to get a 3 plate deadlift which is the best ROI of any money I've spent. For the past 2 months I've belong to multiple gyms at the same time to feel them out. Not only do more expensive gyms have less equipment, that is maintained very poorly, or the entire place smells Indian as hell (absolute deal breaker 9000), but then you pay $60, it closes at ridiculous hours so youre dealing with a morning or after work stampede and I do not rushing or asking if someone is still using something because everybody has their own journey and they have a right to take their time and enjoy their privacy. So after my first two months of belonging to 4 gyms simultaneously for a trial week, PF is actually the winner (Anytime/24/Barbell/PF)

For someone like me, staying consistent with the gym has always been a challenge. I'd stick with a…read moregym or a workout routine for a few months, lose a few kilos, and then eventually stop. It never became a lasting habit. I've also tried different gyms and diets over the years--I would lose weight, then gain it back. It all felt very mechanical. Since joining BFT, though, everything has changed. A year and a half later, with more than 240 sessions completed, I still genuinely look forward to every workout. On the days I don't come, I actually miss it. It's no longer just exercise--it's become part of my lifestyle. The team here has been incredibly supportive, encouraging, and motivating. I've made great friends, learned how to perform exercises with the right technique, and become stronger and more confident along the way. I absolutely love it. If you're serious about improving your health and want to build habits that last, I can't recommend BFT highly enough.

Warning the classes can be overwhelming to someone new with the loud music and all the different timers and beeping throughout the class. Suggestion to people to focus on the movement more than the timing. Suggestion to BFT to be mindful of the level of the music. There are small lockers to put stuff away. The location is small meaning there are no showers. They have restrooms and a water station and a small instant coffee station. I prefer small classes and this place is super close to me so these issues are not a deal breaker for me. The staff are super nice. They try hard to build a community building new programs to support clients. They are helpful to show one on one how to correctly complete the movement. I don't know about pricing as this is the first time I have ever had to pay for a gym. They are flexible to pause your membership or modify whatever program you are in. I highly suggest to try at least one cardio and one strength classes before committing.

The gym has consistently supported me in reaching my fitness goals through well-structured workouts, a motivating environment, and a strong sense of community. Josh is an outstanding coach -- approachable, personable, and genuinely passionate about helping others succeed. He has a unique ability to connect with people and make every session both effective and enjoyable. What went well? The programming is excellent, the atmosphere is positive, Field Fitness isn't just a gym -- it's a place where you grow stronger, both physically and mentally.

One of the instructors there recommended Field Fitness, and I've loved what I have found. I've mostly been taking classes with Josh and he's so motivating and supportive. I've got an arm injury and he's been great about providing alternatives for some exercises while keeping the flow of the class going for all. So impressive. There is no 'hard sell' at this place - which I really appreciate, and their endurance as a studio is there because they offer great programming and great product via the classes that they have. If your schedule means that you can only do infrequent or irregular classes, through to dedicated multi-times-a-week practice for strength, core, upper body and lower body work, you can do via the classes at this gym - so check it out!

What's frustrating is that 24 actually has great equipment. In some locations, the machine selection is just as good as, or even better than, what you find at higher-end gyms. Meanwhile, you're paying $200+ a month at places like Equinox largely for fewer people and better cleanliness. And that's the gap. At 24, the issue isn't the equipment. It's the lack of consistent hygiene and accountability. You still run into people who don't wipe down machines, leave sweat behind, or treat the space like it's not shared. It breaks the experience, and it's exactly why people feel pushed to pay a premium elsewhere. There's a very clear opportunity here that could completely change the game: Implement and enforce a "no towel/bench barrier, no training" policy. This isn't about being overly strict. It's about creating a baseline standard. When people are required to use a towel as a barrier between themselves and the equipment: Sweat is contained instead of transferred directly onto benches and machines Cleanliness improves immediately and visibly Members become more mindful of shared space This is standard in many European gyms, and it works because it's enforced, not just suggested. From a business standpoint, it's also a win: Towel service memberships become more valuable Retail towel sales increase Equipment lasts longer due to less direct sweat exposure But the key is consistency. Staff should actively walk the floor, clean regularly, and reinforce the policy so it becomes part of the culture, not just a sign on the wall. Right now, 24 has the foundation to compete with premium gyms on experience, not just price. But without stronger standards around cleanliness and etiquette, it falls short. Fix that, and it's a completely different gym.
