So referrals from caring and reliable friends are important. Mr. Smelser responded quickly and came quickly because my water heater wasn't working or would stop working when my electricity would crash which was happening at least three times a week. Among other things, I thought I needed a new heater but Mr. Smelzer examined it, analyzed that the heater elements are good, and recommended that I get an electrician to change the relevant breaker in my electric panel box. Mr. Smelser was so kind in his response that I asked him if he could do other plumbing work for me. Almost nothing worked in my house so I asked him to replace my leaking kitchen faucet, repair my leaking bathtub faucet, and install a garbage disposal with a sink top switch. When he came as scheduled, he brought his two sons who are also plumbers in his family-owned business. Even when I wanted a soap dispenser installed as opposed to the sprayer which they recommended, they did consistently as I wished even though the soap dispenser appeared to be more difficult to install. Everything they did for me was excellent and at a reasonable charge. And to boot, Mr. Smelser has a marvelous sense of humor and his sons were so remarkably polite. He got up on a ladder and drew circles around the dark brown staining on the ceiling downstairs saying to contact him IF the staining moved outside his drawn circles or if I noticed the leaking continuing. Mr. Philbin stated to call him back directly and not to contact my home warranty company. I started calling the very next day on 4/5 as the leaking continued. To date 4/9 and I have not had one call returned. My husband has called as well and nothing. I'm sorry but if you are that busy you need to at least acknowledge the call and schedule when you have availability. To ignore all calls and lie to the home warranty company that you will be calling in a certain timeframe that you also lied about is bad business and I do not like doing business with liars. Also - the drywall was not cut so how was the problem even remotely accessed? It wasn't. Bad business and now I'm nowhere closer to getting this issue resolved. Thank you for absolutely nothing but stress and aggravation on top of a leak that I need to get resolved ASAP.
