$495 for 40 min snake job to clean a hair clog in bath tub, so about 15-20 min actual snaking. Last two times other big plumbing companies came by they charge 150 per hour to snake kitchen sink, the toughest one was an hour n half and they guy really had to work the clog. To be clear the one star is for honesty, Plumb Professionals may do good work. A female friend of mine called me because she had no hot water. I did a search on Yelp and found Plumb Professionals. Someone from the company came out, looked at the water heater and sent her an estimate for $10 which she forwarded to me. I reviewed and there was no detail, only replace water heater. I called and asked for a more detailed estimate. The new estimate was not itemized, just a few sentences with the model number of the water heater and a sentence about replacing a few valves and the pan. I could not imagine why a water heater would be $10K and told my friend if she could hold out I would drive to VA to look. My friend's townhouse has an outside mechanical room. When I went in the room everything was cold to the touch. I looked around and found an electric baseboard heater which was set to the low end of medium. I turned the thermostat up to mediu-high and got $15 of pipe wrap at the hardware store. Ta-Da. Fixed. Hot water. And for much less than$10K.. Doing some research I found the water heater also provides hot water for the heat. I can see why it was so much more than a regular water heater. That said, the fix was NOT a new $10 THOUSAND water heater. Taking advantage of a single woman is despicable. If they would have changed for wrapping the pipes and flushing the water heater, I would have given them a great rating. As is they only deserve scorn. Shameful. read more

We had an issue with a leaky shower. We called on Monday morning, and he was out around noon. He replaced the cylinder and the problem is fixed. While he was out he also cleaned out the washer intake filters (separate charge). The guy was very friendly and professional. Knew what he was doing. By providing me this information, I was able to contact the manufacturer and have the replacement part shipped without delay, and without cost due to the system being under warranty. Had I not known the exact part number needed, the situation would have been substantially more complicated to correct. From start to finish, Michael made it clear he wanted to make things right. Once the part arrived, Michael returned to my house, drained and (again) inspected the water heater to make certain no other issues existed. The new part was added, and now the system is working perfectly. Here is the reason I gave you a 1. When I called a while ago about a leak in my kitchen faucet, you said that you would give me a free estimate. I was grateful that you just had to twist the screw tighter and didn't charge me for it. Fast forward to about 3 or so months later, my upstairs toilet overflow valve seemed to not be working properly. I called and I asked if he could come by and look at it. I figured you would have given me the same deal as the first time. I had my roommate here & I was not home. When all of a sudden I got an email BILL for 186.00. I was PISSED OFF. My friend who also happens to do some plumming said that I was ripped off and I was most likley overcharged for labor. I didnt say to fix it. If I knew that it was going to cost that much I would have tried to fix it my self or at least you should have given me a choice to fix it or not. That whole unit was recetly replaced btw. SECOND. I went to pay the bill on line and YOU DONT take the bank that I bank with so I went to use my CC and then you want to charge me a transaction fee of over 7.00. WHICH IS ILLEAGAL. Tony called to ask if he could visit 30 minutes before the scheduled time of appointment. He wore cloth booties to cover his shoes and a mask on his face.
