I had to make the absolutely gut wrenching decision to put my sweet almost 17 year old yorkie down a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately Dr. Tatum was not in that day but Dr. Lewis handled it. I just didn't feel any warmth or compassion from the office staff members at all. Nobody said 'sorry for your loss' or 'she was a good dog' or even looked up from their computers when the euthanasia was complete and I was leaving. I realize that people have to become desensitized to the death of pets when working in the field, however, my dog had been a patient for over 10 years at their office. That was one of the absolute hardest days of my life and nobody was even bothered enough to see a sobbing person and say 'sorry for your loss.' I will miss Dr. Tatum himself but when the time comes to find a new vet, I will be using a different practice. Bottom line: if you're looking for compassionate end of life care, please research this thoroughly as this was unfortunately not my experience with the current staff.

We did not want to put him though much more but wanted to extend his life as best we could. We got 2 wonderful extra years out of him with the help of Dr. Sosebee and the clinic. They listened to what we wanted and did not push any treatments just to make a dollar. I am very happy with the work they do and the care they put into their animals. Franklin took a turn for the worst very fast. We had no appointment or anything and they came same day to our home to put him down peacefully in his own bed. I expected to pay a fortune for that service it was less than an exam. They made the entire process very easy for us.

I took him here and he got his haircut by Katie and they did not finish his shave down. They took forever just for me to call and then they tell me they could only finish half of his body.. claimed he was aggressive but his original groomer has never said anything about him being aggressive.. if he was I paid $43 instead of $52 for a ugly cut when I should've been charged way less and now I got to pay extra to take him to his ORIGINAL groomer.. We quickly found out that Bo is an impressive jumper once he was in the care of Paws & Play. He was able to clear their 6 foot fence! Luckily they caught him and called me immediately. At pickup we were told that not only had he jumped the fence he jumped from stall to stall (just to socialize) and that's the reason he isn't allowed back. I 100% understand this decision and respect it due to safety concerns. They spoke so sweetly of my jumping bean despite all the trouble he caused. Even recommended other facilities in the area that could possibly help. Based on my experience, I can attest to how much the employees & owners care for these animals. They were sad Bo couldn't come back, but maybe once his jumping is under control we can try again.

We got there at 7:03, so there weren't many dogs. When we got back a few hours later, a few of the pens were filled with dogs. Specifically the pen with smaller dogs was filled. I assumed my dogs would be out there until more dogs showed up to go outside. Nope. Mine were put in a separate pen together, but it was obvious they didn't go outside. The dogs are left in those pens all day. That explains the smell of urine. They just pee on the floor. This isn't a doggie day-care. It's a holding cell for the time they're there.
