Thank you for updating your machines and having enough people working to help if needed. First review: If you want to use the photo printing I would choose somewhere else. No cords Said they were stolen and not going to be replaced. Went to Office Depot next door. Waste of time.

The tech said that she had one of the prescriptions ready and when I asked how long for the second, she said it could be an hour or two. Now, I don't know how a pharmacy works; I don't know how they fill prescriptions. But it seems clear that it's not per patient or in the order received since they had the pills, but just hadn't filled the prescription. A day or two later I went to pick up prescriptions for mom and they had one of the prescription ready but not the second. The pharmacist overheard and said that he was in the process of filling the second so it would be a few more minutes, so I waited, got them both, and left. When I got back home and mom looked at them and that's when we learned the prescription the Rite Aid app said was ready for pickup was not amongst those that they gave me. When she called the next morning to ask if it was ready and why it was not there when I went yesterday, she was told that they have until the end of the day to fill them. But that doesn't make sense--why would you say it's ready when it wasn't just because you have until day's end? It's not actually ready for pickup then, is it? Also ridiculous is that they sometimes just close the drive-up window. I went last night a little more than an hour before closing and there was a hand-written sign saying "drive-thru closed". I went in last night since they'd done that, but this morning when I went to see if that missing prescription was ready the drive thru was still closed, this time 1.5 hours or so after they opened. I couldn't go in this time since I had a sick child with me, so I'm going to have to make a third trip. The service is unbelievably bad; I'm not really sure why it takes them so long to fill a prescription, or why they don't have ready what they say they do, but this isn't the place that I would choose for my prescription needs. Besides the ridiculous pharmacy, I don't understand how they're still in business. There's almost no merchandise in this store. That's not hyperbole--entire aisles are practically bare, so what are they selling? Do they make that much on prescriptions? Avoid at all costs. There are at least a couple independent pharmacies around, such as Hirons and there's also Track Town Pharmacy, so why not support local business instead?

This place didn't seem as big but seems like they pack a lot more items compared to the other location. The aisles are just a teeny bit narrower at this location as well. I was able to get a nice shower hanger for five bucks and some braided floor mats for a great price. Add on knick knacks and I walked out almost a car load of everything I did and did not need. This is a family owned business so I'd rather spend my dollars here than a big box store. If you get a chance, definitely give this store a try before heading to the chain stores. I guarantee you'll find what you need here. *They have a lot of souvenir and Oregon duck items too!

I had an extremely upsetting experience at Hirons today while shopping with my three children. My…read moreson is autistic and nonverbal. He had picked out several items, and when he became dysregulated, his other parent took him to the car while I stayed inside to check out. While I was going through his selections, I decided to put several items back because he had picked out quite a few things. The cashier told me that I was required to purchase everything he had selected because loss prevention had allegedly seen my son put an item in his mouth. I asked to speak with the loss-prevention employee and asked whether there was camera footage showing this. I was told there was no video evidence and that the employee claimed they had witnessed it firsthand. I have serious concerns about the accuracy of that allegation because my son was accompanied by his other parent, who did not see him put anything in his mouth. I explained that my son is autistic and nonverbal. Instead of responding with understanding, I was told that his disability did not matter and that we should be watching our children more closely. I found that response incredibly inappropriate and upsetting, particularly after explaining my child's disability. I understand that a store may have legitimate policies regarding merchandise that has actually been placed in someone's mouth. However, I was told that I had to purchase every item my son had selected, and I was not given a clear explanation of the policy requiring this. I am also concerned about whether the way we were treated was consistent with disability protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Oregon law. I ultimately left the store without purchasing anything because I was so uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. I am not asking for special treatment because my son is autistic. I am asking that my child and our family be treated with basic dignity and respect. Telling a parent that their child's disability "doesn't matter" is not an appropriate way to handle a situation involving a disabled child. I hope Hirons takes this seriously and uses this as an opportunity to address how employees respond to families with disabilities.

Hiron's uses the same principle as dense urban areas: when real estate is limited, build vertically! The place it quite literally floor-to-ceiling with gifts, merch, sundries, goodies, and sooooo much more. The only minor knock is the 'organization' can be a touch shaky, but hey, throw in friendly service and that lack of sales tax in Oregon (I'm not local and love that) and WHAM! winner of a place. One of my wife's fave takeaways from a visit to see our Duck is a T-shirt from Hiron's; she always gets complements on it! You're on your own with parking since Safeway shares the lot and it can be like playing Frogger getting to the door (with you as the frog). Prices are fair and match the value, but if you need UO with a swoosh....then you can overspend elsewhere. I have never left Hiron's with less than five items, including my very first visit when I dropped my Duck off three years ago. They have the things I want, the things I didn't know I wanted, and tons of things to browse through and call my own.
