Because I did not have $37 to pay the copay. They told me I had to pay the copay before they would give me my drugs. I am 84, kids never call and I am ready for hospice. I've had enough of the Hart pharmacies of the world. If you need meds do not go to Hart and Dilatush downtown without a pocketful of cash. I had spent my Social Security this month and I have 15 cans of corned beef and chili, my allotment of one can per day until I get my next check. Hart didn't show any shame about withholding my meds even though I told them I had spent my last dollar on cancer care (an electric blanket from Target because I'm freezing all the time). What I love about Walgreens photo is that you can upload your pics online through their website and have them printed at any store for pick up or have them mailed to you. They also offer same day pick-up. I was in town running an errand and chose this Walgreens since it was near my errand. When I walked in, I headed to the photo department and quickly and easily picked up my photo. While walking out, I took a quick look around and saw they had Snoop Dog wine. I thought that was pretty cool and surprised to see it. I think I'll go back to pick up a bottle as a novelty.

How do you rate a pharmacy?…read more Is it great? No. Is it the best option in the area? Probably. So what does that mean? I don't know. Sometimes the line moves fast, sometimes it's slow. Some of the people who work here are super friendly and helpful. Some are not. At the end of the day, it's a Walgreens. There's a drive-thru, which is nice. Sometimes it moves quickly, sometimes it doesn't. Also, the parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of unless you're traveling west on Appleway. Otherwise it's a headache.

You get a call that says your prescription's ready, so you go there, wait in a line 12 customers long, and when you get to the window they say, "we're still working on it." You don't see them handling your pills in that moment, or printing off your labels, so you know that part is false. But you'd think they'd be done in 24hrs. So you go back the next day, 12 customers length wait, to be told they still don't have it ready. I worked with said military medical facilities. They would make families wait in lobbies for hours for a prescription. This!? Lying twice, once automated phone message, and next in person. A big F U to people who NEED prescriptions or they will die without them, or worse, live long enough to see that this place will never go out of business because where else can we go to get our meds? After purchasing an item, I found the exact same product two doors down for $10 less -- within five minutes. I returned immediately with the unopened item, only to be told they don't offer refunds to your card or cash back. Instead, they force you to accept store credit. This so-called "policy" was never posted anywhere in the store, and when I questioned it, the owner became rude and dismissive. This is not how you treat paying customers. A lack of transparency and poor attitude from management is unacceptable. I won't be returning, and I strongly urge others to think twice before shopping here. Know that if you change your mind -- even within minutes -- you're stuck with store credit whether you like it or not.
