The service at the drive-through window sucks. They are very rude. I understand that they must be careful about giving out medication, but they do not have to be totally rude about it. I come here from time to time to pick up photos that I order online. The Walgreens process for that is generally pretty easy and efficient. I've ordered a couple sets this week and one was delayed due to the printer going down. Not a biggie, but wished they had sent a note before I went to pick them up. The store is generally clean, but is in a sketchy part of town. The employee friendliness factor is hit and miss and the dress code being very loose in relation to being professional. My big gripe here is that the parking lot lights are either turned off or 100% burned out. Nevertheless they have not worked for what seems at least a year or two. As I mentioned, this is a sketchy area and not having these lights is inexcusable. If not for the photo service I'd likely not really ever make this location a stop. read more

If possible, I would give this pharmacy a 0%. This pharmacy never answers its phone. I've been on hold between 10 minutes and 45 minutes...mostly the latter. Then I repeatedly get disconnected and have to start all over again as the recording says "There are more than 3 callers ahead of you." On many an occasion, I've had partial refills, where I must return to pick up one prescription on two different trips. Many times they are just "out" of my Rx and I have to go without till they perhaps might get it into their inventory. This leaves the doctors who prescribe in a very precarious position. I'm in the process of searching for a pharmacy that isn't so short-staffed and where I'm treated with respect and dignity. Someplace where the customer comes first, and that is probably privately owned. read more

I had a negative experience at this Walgreens. The reason for the five star review is because of the excellent customer service I received from Ryan, Kailee, and Kim. They completely resolved this situation and sincerely made me feel like a valued customer. Ryan is a superb leader with sharp interpersonal skill, and you can tell from just briefly meeting him he is a genuine person. Kim is extremely friendly, and sweet. If she took a test she would test very high on the EQ scale I'm sure. Kailee is kind, humble, and will be successful in any future endeavor she chooses to pursue. Walgreens - the front entrance of a store - Drugstores Near Me - Spokane, Washington

I'm not sure why I continue to give this Walgreens location a chance but they are dismal. In fact, all Walgreens locations around town are less than mediocre. Rude, clueless staff and they are always out of products. When I've doordashed for customers here, they're always out of something, sometimes the entire order. When I just ordered doordash about 20 minutes ago, multiple items are out of stock. I can't tell you how many times they've been out of stock on items that they should have like saltine crackers, thermometers, eye glass kits, etc. I wish their corporate offices would discontinue their partnership with DoorDash. Walgreens is dismal! If you can't keep up with the amount of orders or your business model is terrible, then maybe you should focus on other things like inventory issues and rude, clueless staff. Made an appointment for vaccines. They sent me a confirmation text message. Several hours later when I arrive they said they were not going to do any shots that entire day because they are "too busy." Why they don't stop making appointments is beyond me. I've used this Walgreens for a long time and have always liked it. They have long- time employees that you can greet by name when you enter. Kind of homey...nice. I recently came in 45 minutes before closing only to discover I had lost my keys between the car and the cash register. That takes some doin' ! Kathleen and another young woman helped me go over my path in the store many times. We couldn't raise a locksmith on the phone...tick tock.! Long story, but I found the keys with one minute to closing. (The keys?.... let's just say it involves a gremlin, a ghost and an invisible man. Okay..it was me.) Drive through service is the worst! Consistently a 20-40 minute wait for filled scripts. Have had numerous times that the pill count was less than the script said it was...maybe some pill skimming happening. Call and say script is ready and when picking it up they say they "are working on it" and I have to make a trip back. I have been going there for twenty years and I am changing pharmacies. Avoid them at all costs!!! read more

I've dealt with a lot of pharmacies and this one is the worst by far. I switched to Walgreens which is close to my home and thought it would be good to support businesses in my neighborhood big mistake. My provider changed one of my meds and got me on a new one. In the 8 months I've been on this new one I've been able to pick it up in a timely mannor twice. Granted I understand issues with shipment but to have that many that's uncalled for. The fun part is calling them back to wonder when I could get it. Well, they tell me not a problem next day. Next day comes and go and go and go. After calling again only to find out that it's finally ready. Plus, the customer service there is a joke. I was in the office when my provider sent the script to the pharmacy and they told me they didn't have it. The app told me it was and it is delayed. The guy on the phone told me to have my doc send it back over to them, I finally snapped and yelled at the guy and told him he was incompetent and hung up. I remember one of the many calls I made to them and one rep there told me to have my provider send the script to another pharmacy. I was thinking if I did that then why would I even use that location. I've had issues with all my meds, now I'm trying another pharmacy and see if it's any better. Granted if this was a isolated issue, I'm will to forget about it but, it's like every month. Dealing with Walgreens is just as bad as dealing with Comcast and we know how terrible they are. This review is in regards to the Pharmacy only, which is one of the worst I've dealt with over the last 4 years, since my bypass surgery. It's extremely difficult to actually speak with a pharmacist over the phone. Today, Nov. 14, 2020, It took a total of 5 attempts over the course of an hour to speak with a pharmacist about a refill. The first two attempts resulted in me hanging up after a 25 minute wait on hold on the first try, and a 15 minute wait on the second try. I then called the store main #, and the cashier tried to transfer me directly to the pharmacy, which resulted in a disconnection. It took me calling back 2 more times to finally get the Pharmacy. Then I was told they didn't have authorization for the metformin from my DR., who'd reauthorized this Scrip, that I've had an auto refill order on for 3 years, on the 6th of November. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with this Pharmacy, but it will be the last. I'm switching back to the CHAS Maple Pharmacy this Monday. I have been a loyal Walgreen's customer for over ten years. I travel a lot and have picked up prescriptions while traveling all over the country including Puerto Rico. I have picked up scripts in Washington DC, Tampa Florida, various cities in California, New York, and so on. I have always experienced the pharmacy as friendly and helpful and very dependable - even in situations where there was confusion about the prescription or the fact that they had to go to other Walgreen's in the city to fill the script in short time frames because of my schedule. However, I had a very disappointing experience at this pharmacy - which has truly changed my point of view about Walgreen's. It is especially disappointing since I have decided to make Spokane my home and would have liked to develop a positive relationship with my pharmacy provider. I have a medical condition which requires that I use consistent brands of certain meds. I cannot change from one manufacturer to the other for instance. When I went to fill my prescription, one of my meds was the wrong manufacturer. I told Sarah, the pharmacy manager that it was the wrong manufacturer but she insisted (despite evidence to the contrary) it was the same one I had been using since I first filled it. The actual reason was that Walgreen's had changed suppliers and the brand I used was no longer available to it's customers. A fact I should have been informed of right off the bat. I was so upset - mainly because for the first time in years - my labs were perfect and I was feeling great! This had been a long process of trying different meds and changing brands at this juncture threatened to derail my progress. And remember, I am the patient and the customer. The pharmacist is the care-giver. My health should be important enough to give pause and restrategize if necessary. But no. All my protests were ignored and she slammed the phone down and sent someone else to talk to me. OK - so if you were the Pharmacy manager what would you do? If I were her, I would have said - "Let me research that for you." "Can you come back later?" OR "Let me call your doctor and see if it's OK to change brands." Or "Let me call my supplier and find out why your brand is no long available.""Let me call around to the other Walgreen's and see if they have any." On another note, her assistant - Ryan called me later - probably because I called the Walgreeen's customer complaint service and filed a complaint. He did research other pharmacies outside Walgreen's to find out who carries the brand which is what I would expect my pharmacy to do for me. He was calm and very hands on with the problem solving, and I appreciated it very much. He treated me respectfully and with care which is what I expect. Seems that the brand was hard to find anywhere. I got curious and Doing research on my own, I discovered that the brand I used in the past was under investigation by the FDA. OK. Why couldn't a person whose job it is to manage medications find that out? Or at least err on the side of the possibility instead of insisting that I was making up the fact that I ever took that brand? She completely dismissed me and I got the impression she thought I was stupid. Or not worth bothering with. Maybe because I am an older woman and I drove up in an old pick-up truck? Maybe farfetched - but trying to understand her reaction. Finally, I did also call my doctor and was told that it was better to go with the new brand since the old one was not available. Now I have to go back to monitoring my labs to see if there are significant changes and at this point I have no choice -BUT it seems to me that I should have been informed of this change by my trusted pharmacy -- solid facts instead of being dismissed - and practically called a liar. What happened to me at the pharmacy was completely unnecessary. Never have I been treated so badly. I am sure I am not the only person this has happened to --so it's just a matter of time before this catches up with this manager. But it's enough for me to never go back. read more

This particular Walgreens is staffed by the most friendly and helpful maybe of most any or all of the other branches staff members. I ask my Pharmacists LOTS of questions, does this interact with that? What do you recommend for this?, and they have never let me down. Everyone is professional, helpful and friendly. They are all special and I love having them as my pharmacy. Even if they get swamped, which happens alot here, they are friendly. I appreciate this nowadays. read more

This Walgreens, regularly miscounts my RX. Last year an RX for 96 only contained 12 pills. I was in a panic since the two cost over $200 and how would I prove it was their mistake and not me ripping them off???? When I called they said they could do a count and did find the mistake but I was still shorted 2 pills in the end. They short my RX every 2-3 months. Not only do they OVERCHARGE but they short your RX also. Since I take pain pills that are very scrutinized, I have told my Doc now that this has been going on for over a year and Walgreens on NW Blvd does not want to investigate this issue of overcharging and shorting the RX. Also, anytime I have asked to talk to the pharmacist for questions, he has never been able to give me a straight answer or even an informative one. I get better answers from WedMD then the pharmacist at Walgreens. The USA is in a battle with the drug manufactures and the pharmacies are very much part of the problem and will not help or even admit there is a problem. They are raking in the $$$ and the elderly and still paying their way. I am moving my business to a Medicine Shoppe just down the street in hopes they know how to count to 96 correctly and don't expect me to pay their mortgage and new car payment also. read more

Dear Walgreens Pharmacy, We are breaking up, and we are never ever getting back together. You are on a power trip and there is no justification for the emotional trainwreck you have visited upon me in the last 48 hours. When my doctor, who sees me and runs tests on me, prescribes a medication, I expect to pay for it and pick it up. I understand you have responsibilities: make sure it doesn't interact with other medications, make sure I understand the instructions, etc. None of your responsibilities include refusing to give me an antibiotic that my doctor has prescribed. Your dishonesty has been particularly disappointing. You told me that my doctor ordered the prescription wrong, and that's why you could not dispense it. I called the nurse service at my doctor's office - they called you, and then called me back. The real problem, it seems, is that I picked up this prescription yesterday, lost it when I was cleaning my car, and you don't believe me. But you would not say that to my face. Are there kids out on the street snorting antibiotics to get high? Are people selling their antibiotics to the highest bidder? Is it your personal mission to make sure that no one gets more antibiotics than they are supposed to get? I'm not sure what you are so suspicious about. If my doctor determined today that I was telling the truth, that I needed these antibiotics, and sent you a request to re-fill them, I'm not sure what gives you the right to 1. lie to me about why you're refusing and 2. refuse to give them to me. In the end, WP, my nurse advised me to make a clean break with you. She said, "When you encounter a pharmacist like that, you just know that you have to go elsewhere." Thank you, I think I will.
