Sure, it's hit and miss for things you need but if you're willing to kinda go with what they have, the selection is fantastic and the prices are the best. I really like this store. The prices are better than the other grocery stores around here. They don't always carry the expensive niche gourmet type things - like they're not going to have every single brand of the items but they will have the cheapest. They also have a revolving selection of random stuff- clothing, toys, decor, you never know what you'll find. I used to shop at the one on Sprague and I'd stop in not even for food but to see what's new this week. My favorite haul was these imported decorative containers - beautiful and detailed.All sizes, even using one as a coffee table and a trunk for quilts in the bedroom. read more

Routinely false advertise/mislabel product and then managers are condescending and blame customers for merely wanting the item at the advertised price. I've been yelled at multiple times for just bringing up that the price being rung up is not what the sign says. Never by the cashiers who are usually mortified by their mangers behavior. More than often they will not offer the price they advertised but today was offered a bizarre Sophie's Choice where I was given the advertised price as a gift but had to choose something to put back. I was assured that this was a special service to me "because it was a special price for only one week" despite the sign still being up and three other employees and managers all agreeing that it was a worker mistake and the price should be honored because it was still being advertised. Not the first or third time this has happened, I feel like I've finally learned my lesson and will go to a different one where they don't look down on their Patrons. read more

I think that this place has been a life saver in the last couple weeks, no joke. They have stocked shelves when other stores do not. The staff has protocol in place to keep us 6 feet apart and there are constantly people cleaning things up. it is really awesome to see. They always have cheap wine and good produce so that is my biggest plus. read more

I will never shop here again. Upon returning from my shopping, I realized I had not received all the items for which I had been charged. I returned to the store, with my receipt, and explained the situation. After waiting 15 minutes, they informed me they had viewed their video footage, and I must be lying. I repurchased the missing items, while enduring their comments and implications of my deceit, or inability to notice the items were actually in my car, and I'm too stupid to see them. It always comes down to the coupon. This time the code just didn't work, so instead of simply subtracting $5 from my total, the manager gives me a different code for $3 off. I'm supposed to be happy with that?? I spent 3x's what was required to get $5 off. I just don't understand why businesses think it is ok to treat customers this way. I was so happy not to have to clip coupons, provide an email address, waste my phone battery looking for deals, use a special card, blah, blah, blah. This location has returned to bad service and rude cashiers and rude employees. The store is filthy and boxes everywhere. As a person with dark sking, not black, not white. I often sense that I am treated differenttly than the white customers that come in the store. Also, cashiers are allowed to be rude, slow insolent to me and i have seen homeless people and other's of color be treated less favorably. I will never go back to this location. The parking lot is filthy and i am not sure if it is ever tidy. I am tired of forgiving people who treat me like a undesirable . Some of the best deals in town are at the grocery outlet. I can always find interesting new products to try and the prices are always better than any other place. I like the fact that I can't yet gallons of water from the water machine when I bring my own bottles and the price is $.29 a gallon. Pretty great I also like being able to freshly grind coffee great in the store. Another thing that I like is that overall approach is that they have is equal to a much higher priced grocery stores in the area. They also have a good selection of wines and occasionally really have great bargains.recently I bought a case of Cabernet Sauvignon at A really great price. The wine is quite enjoyable to have with meals. Another thing I like about this grocery outlet is that the owner is always available to talk to you and the staff that I have met have always been extremely helpful. I like the store a lot. I started going to this store because of the water machine. You can refill a gallon jug for 26 cents or even purchase a empty jug to fill, for less than a gallon of water in any other store. I purchase gallons of water instead of single use bottles because these are not recycled, and are clogging our environment. read more

I love this store! The shelves are always stocked. The employees are friendly, which has to be a challenge considering the location and what they must deal with in a typical day. You can find great deals and markdowns on meat if you get there at the right time. Stock up when things are available because they may not be there next time you go in! Grocery Outlet really gives people like myself who are on a fixed income the chance to at least eat like we are "normal" people and can afford a few of the finer things. If you don't mind a flavor of something that doesn't quite go over at the conventional stores and don't mind a constantly changing selection you will love Grocery Outlet. I don't drink any more but when I did the wine selection could be amazing, no kidding, $20 bottles anywhere else going for $10. The only downside to this location is that the restrooms are hidden if there are any (not good for an old dude with a bad prostate lol. I've literally had to leave before I was finished shopping) and the location would not be someplace I would go after dark. If you are looking for healthy items their NOSH section is epic. Occasionally you may get an unsolicited comment from a cashier like "How do you afford this oil" but hey it's so much better for you if you only knew. I do not feel embarrassed using EBT here either like I do at Safeway sometimes with their side-eyeing cashiers. VALUE, VALUE! 3 pounds of folgers for $7 and gourmet pizza for $3.50. We live west of downtown and Rosauers is the only other close but more expensive option. We love the great produce prices and extensive wine selection. Catch the frequent 20 percent off wine sales and go to their website for coupon deals. This is one of my favorite stores to shop at. Selection is pretty good. You can find healthy produce and also many freezer options. I like how they provide many ethnic foods that I can't find other places for such a low price. I would stay away from the fish choices though. It might have been a rare occurrence but the fish I bought was awful and stunk badly. I couldn't eat it. Everything else is great and definitely you will be able to get way more for what you spend. read more

Great selection and great prices! The only place that makes grocery shopping a bit of an adventure; I always find something new or interesting. And the prices can be amazing. In the last couple months I have found eggbeaters 1 pint for 27 cents and pints of cottage cheese for 25 cents. At these prices, you can expect the sell by date is close, so check it out and then decide how much product you can fit into your upcoming menu! Turns out my dog loves a scoop of cottage cheese to top off the kibbles. Keep your receipt.
