Fred Meyer is our favorite store. You know you can pretty much find whatever you need there. Its the place we are most likely to hit for supplies while traveling in WA or OR. This is a very nice Fred Meyer, nicer than my home store on the other side of the mountains. They have a whole set aside section for liquor and it even has a bar! The aisles seem more generously spaced here than in a lot of Fred Meyers and their specialty foods section seems larger. We stop here at least 1x every visit to Spokane! read more

They confirmed my order, then called me two hours before my daughter's baby shower to say they didn't have it. I placed an online catering order over $200 well in advance for my daughter's baby shower on April 1st. After submitting it, I heard nothing -- no confirmation call, no follow-up. So TWO DAYS before the event, I drove there in person because I was worried. That's when I found out they never even checked their email. It took over 30 minutes for the manager Syd and her team to locate my order. At that point, they told me several items were no longer carried or made. I picked replacement items for the salads and meats right there, face to face. They assured me everything was good to go. I left feeling relieved. The morning of the baby shower -- two hours before pickup -- a man named Matthew left me a voicemail saying they only had the sandwich platter, fruit platter, and veggie platter. That's it. No apology. No suggestions. No solutions. Just a voicemail dropping a bomb on the day of my family's event. And when I picked up the sandwich platter? The bag of lettuce they handed me was brown and slimy -- visibly rotting through the packaging. They handed it to me anyway and said nothing. This is my LOCAL store. My family shops here regularly. I trusted these people with an important family milestone and they couldn't have cared less. No accountability. No urgency. No effort. Do not order catering from the Fred Meyer deli on Sprague Avenue. They will take your order, confirm it, and fail you completely when it matters most. read more

I went in today to buy food for my family and pick up my prescriptions. What a horrible mistake. As soon as I walked in, "Wayne" who works in retail and had nothing to do with with the area I was going to, very tersely greeted me and when I did not respond, he proceeded to berate me to another employee. I turned to him and said he was being rude, and he proceeded to say I was the one that ignoring him..!!! I guess when a person goes to Fred Meyer as a customer, be prepared to be the one expected to provide customer service! i spoke to the store manager who did not take the situation seriously and proceeded to bring Wayne to me. Ultimately, Wayne did say sorry. However, I had repeatedly told him to leave me alone! i explained that he had won and i was not coming back. I like this store a lot, but I can't shop here very often because I'm handicapped and can't walk very far; their motorized carts here are old and almost never are working. If they are working when you come in they run out of juice and leave you stranded in the store, then you're at the mercy of someone helping to push you out. Get some new carts, I'm sure you can afford it. read more

I did not receive toilet paper for 1399 or kitty litter 1599. I tried to call the store and the customer service rep kept hanging up on me. Want a refund and I want him fired.I asked to speak with the manager and this agent who wouldn't give me his name gave me the wrong information. I spent 200 and didn't receive much of my order out of grape and cake. This isn't how you treat people. I talked with this customer service agent at 730 pm. I will call and speak with the manager in the morning. If you were getting screwed out of your money you'd be angry to anybody you'd be upset that's normal. This Fred Meyers have the worst Pharmacy I've ever used. You get phone calls saying your prescriptions are ready multiple times just to have them tell you that your refills are denied. This happened multiple times and they don't have an answer for it. I wouldn't trust this team/company with your care. Some serious risk if you need maintenance medications. WHAT is happening to ALL Fred Meyers?! We spend a lot here, mostly grocery delivery, but they have gotten SO bad! Constantly out of even the most basic of items. NO prices on items in store. I was sending a Western Union to my wife's family who's home country is Africa over Christmas. After stating my intent, the woman drills me with questions... "Why are you sending there?, how do you know them, how long have you known them, where did you meet them, whats the purpose, have you been to that country, when was the last time you saw them, have you met them in person..." I interrupted her and with a kind smile I said " You Don't Need To Ask Me All These Questions. It's very intrusive, I know the policy, I am verified and have presented my ID. I just want to send this money without feeling like you are judging me or accusing me of something negative. " This clerk says, " I don't like you, youre in here too much and I'm not letting you send money to that country. I don't like it, I'm not doing it! " She leaves, tells her manager that I'm giving her a hard time and cussing her out, then has security come by as another customer is acting tough and rescuing Fred Meyers from my evil plans, trying to fight me for being frustrated that for some reason this woman has the power to do all this. She then goes to the lady that had been behind me in line and says, "he wants to send money to ----- and I'm not doing it. That place is a SH$T hole. I love Fred Meyers it's a great store but... ... today I went to Fred Meyers to pick up some funds from Western Union and I was told that I'm not allowed to use Money Services anymore. I am 100% validated, presentable and respectful yet somehow this racist white woman at the Fred Meyers on 15609 E Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99037, who wouldn't allow me to send money has found a way to ban me from using money services, because she doesn't like the African country that my wife is from? I'm a white man and this is so negative and RACIST against an entire country that I'm blown away to witness this first hand. So me and my younger brother came in to buy a lottery ticket, and 2 very very rude employees walked up to me and my little brother and started yelling at me and my younger brother that they have already dealt with us before even though I've never seen them in my life, and proceeded to yell at me because you have to be 18 to buy a lottery ticket, even though I am 21. Furniture section. Bought a table and chairs but received much more. We picked up a wood table and chairs on a special. Nice quality for the price. Problem it came with a family of Mice in the box. Freddie's has a great selection of products, they have good sales/coupons, and the produce guys go above and beyond, checking the back whenever they are out of something. I can honestly say if they weren't so close to my house I probably would not frequent this store. It isn't horrible, just overpriced on just about everything. Positives: they do a good job keeping the place clean and organized. Employees are all very friendly and eager to help you find what you are looking for. And knowledgable as well. I have yet to ask any employee in any part of the store where something is and they did not know the location. I will give them props for a good selection of what I group as "alternative foods". Organic, gluten free, all that kind I specialty stuff. I have utilized this area more than once when we have had relatives with some sensitivities about some foods they can't eat. They also have a fairly good selection of outdoor stuff (coolers, camp chairs, etc) if you are in a rush. Overall, not a bad store but a bit hard on the pocketbook. read more

Keep up the great work. The store has great produce selection and carries many varieties of brands to suite near anyone's preferences. They have organic and diet specific products as well as standard commercial products. They also offer non contact shopping with curbside pickup. Anyone bad mouthing this store for amusement need not shop there. It's a multi functional retail space and grocery, not your personal environment to fear monger, belittle staff, or push your fascist agenda. The best grocery store around. They are always clean, well stocked, and friendly! Walmart treats customers like criminals, Freddie's treats their customers like friends. They have an amazing store brand filled with natural, plant based, quality products at amazing prices! My go to store for large and small shops. I love this Fred Mayer!. The employees are very helpful and once when we could not decided what fresh apples to buy the apple guy came over and just cut the apples we were thinking about getting into slices and let us taste the difference. He made a recommendation of the type of apple we should get as well! The sushi here is delicious and a very large selection. You should go when the sushi people are working though because then they can make you whatever you want and for quality to get it is super cheap. You can even ask for a chef special and he will ask if you do not like a type of food like shrimp and make you something delicious not on the menu. read more

They completely ignore instructions (such as NO SUBSTITUTIONS) and constantly send garbage you don't want and didn't order. I truly feel like they send whatever they want, completely ignoring instructions or other comments clearly stated on your order. Insta Cart is the absolutely worst delivery company we've ever had...every single time. Those rocket scientists think nothing of putting all the bags from a large 100 pound order right smack against the door...making it almost imposible to open the door. Which they did again today. NO THANKS. GOOD RIDDANCE. Every other store and delivery service is so much better that there's no comparison. I had a horrible experience with the pharmacy here and I will not be back. The staff was rude,and didn't help me with my prescription transfer after calling five times, then it happened. They offered me a$50 grocery credit for transferring my script and then I didn't end up getting it because my cash paid medication" didn't qualify". I was on the phone with customer service for two separate phone calls and I was treated rudely and I didn't have a good result even talking with a supervisor. When I checked out with my groceries and I didn't get the credit, I was embarrassed by management and I had to pay cash. I will take my pharmacy and shopping needs else where from now forward. I was not even explained to ahead of time about the medication not qualifying otherwise I would have transferred a script that did. Now they've lost a customer. read more

Yesterday was the last time I shop at Fred Meyer's. I got there early in Hope's to avoid the crowds. I did manage that for a while, however, trying to navigate around the stickers that seem to be everywhere made shopping aggregating as hell. Stocking should be done at night when it doesn't impact shoppers. Combine that with two checkers makes one think Walmart isn't all that bad after all. Add insult to injury and try to get some cash back and be told it will cost me 50 cents. Really. You are what is wrong with so many chain stores these days. You don't give a damn about the customers. I dread this store. I only go when a client requests it. Today my client sent for a specific bread item that was in the add. I checked the bakery, then the regular bread aisle, then tried to find someone to help while going back to the bakery to double check then I checked the natural foods just in case. Then I headed back to the bread aisle and still no one to help. I finally called the store while I was in the bread aisle and when I explained I was trying to find something in the store the lady on the other end sounded dreadfully annoyed that I'd bothered her and responded with "isn't there anyone around to help you?!" She said she'd get someone and the line started ringing and ringing again and finally someone picked up the phone and was clueless. So I gave up and went to checkout. When I asked the cashier after telling her my struggle just to get someone to help locate an item she told me to go talk to the bakery. There were four employees not running registers standing around talking at the end of the checkout counter and I noticed another three standing around talking in the by the black tape lines in customer service on my way out. read more

OK this review is aimed at the Deli. They used to make the best fried chicken around, yep even kick KFC's butt. However, this I have been noticing for a few months; It's Sunday 5:25 pm and I'm craving fried chicken and change my mind when I see the dark wet crust on the chicken pieces. This is from old unchanged oil that either a manager has made them stretch to the limit or lazy people that 1. don't care or 2. not trained right. I skipped them and went for the chicken tenders. These were no joy either. The meat was tough and dry. So disappointing. The glass that divides you from the food my splattered and smeared with oil. Looks like someone was waiting for someone else to clean it, so nobody cleaned it. Good God how appetizing. Didn't complain to the employees, they look dead behind the eyes already. A manager should walk around the store and point out things that need attention. No one has integrity or self worth to know that what you do actually do or don't do means something to somebody. Not even sure the manager cares. I walk around the store and I push containers back in place, put lids back on the bulk containers and push hoses and wires out of the way of others. I'm not even getting paid or thanked for this. But it doesn't matter to me, I do it because it's the right thing to do. Well Fred Meyer see how crappy fried chicken made by those who don't give a shit and slap it in a pan so that it splatters all the glass and still don't care, actually effects those who spend their paycheck there, so that these "employees" can have a paycheck? Sad. Now I know why it's worth driving all the way to Rathdrum to eat at Popeyes or Post Falls at Super 1. I skipped Dickey's BBQ Pit hoping for good fried chicken at Freddies. Hands down, best grocery store. I go here before anywhere else because the prices are on par with the quality - from frozen to deli and meats. Knowledgeable staff can help you get the best cuts, any produce information. The store is laid out to provide a logical way to get all your shopping done. Nothing major gets moved and the seasonal aisle is up front. Most of the cashiers are polite. New cashiers are labeled with a sign at the start of their lane so you can avoid them if you are in a hurry. The selections are my favorite. There's three or four of everything so you can try a brand and find what you want, or keep with tried and true standards. This company is owned by Kroger, who doesn't skip on quality and is a well reputed name in service. If you like to coupon, Fred Meyer saves you the effort. Get their rewards card and the app. They automatically post manufacturer discounts in the store, and you can load coupons onto your card from the app. Best part of it! read more

Ok I am usually not a fan of supermarket sushi BUT hello I stopped in for a client and needed something for lunch and wham bam thank you mam I ended up with the best sushi bowl ever. Its called the Hawaiian poke bowl with raw salmon/steelhead over sticky rice, seaweed salad, wasabi, pickled ginger, soy sauce then they custom add fresh avocado, cucumbers and carrots. Wow! I had sesame seed crackers with it. The price was 7.50 for a large bowl. I will drive across town for this again for sure. They have a bar in the liquor section. I am only revieiwing the Fred Meyer "Special Selection Black Cherry Pie." This is the greatest commercially baked pie known to man. It is greater than us, it is the Pie of the Gods. I could eat a whole one in a single setting and only feel more perfect about myself. From the moment you see the dark purple filling oozed out of the slits on the top of the baked pie you know you are in for something special. A gustatory sleigh ride of awesome across the snowy idyllic landscape of Happy, USA. The cherries are whole. You heard that. Whole fat black cherries in a luscious, understated filling. This is not a puckering sour cherry pie nor a tooth cavity detonating sweet one. It is simply perfect. It is where zen meets pie. It is the shining middle path to heaven. I love this pie and only wish it were not so seasonal/special. Some years they seem not to have it. Why is that? Because the black cherry crop is not perfect enough? Perhaps. Because the Fred Meyer bakery chefs are not as harmonically converged with the universe as they should be and somebody in the Fred Meyer bakery command and control structure pulls the plug? Who knows. But I know one thing - if it was always available it is probably all I would eat. Fred Meyer Black Cherry pie with tall frosty mugs of milk. Never put ice cream on it. The ice cream will recoil in horrible shame at even touching the perfection and bliss of this pie and beg with big drippy and dewy ice cream tears running down their faces to be removed and thrown, ingloriously, into the sink to melt into oblivion because that ice cream knows what a transgression has been allowed. No.a.la.mode. Only a la MORE. I want to be buried in one of these pies when the Good Lord meets me in the middle of the sky. Pie in the sky, baby. read more

While I enjoy their products, they have the absolute slowest checkout process in town!! I spend way more time in checkout than I do shopping for all my groceries. I will definitely be taking a long break - my time is too valuable to deal with their super slow cashiers and checkout lines. read more

This location is very busy one and central. I used this one for Gasoline service. The price seemed reasonable and I did not have to wait much even though it was Sunday. Whenever possible due to their reasonable prices, I use their Gas stations often. read more

This place stinks. There's some yogurt here, and some across the store. We were in a really big rush and we couldn't find anything in a good amount of time. Everything is disorganized. One woman who worked at the self-checkout told us to take a "deep cleansing breath" when the machine wouldn't work. Not convenient. read more

The employees were great with helping me & my mom with all the groceries we bought. The cashier got me help with getting someone to put groceries in the car even! F.Y.I. My mom usually was in one of those electric shopping carts for disabled people (which is hella embarrassing & she doesn't really need one). Props to them for helping me as I can't recall the last time I got help grocery shopping with my mom. I'm not going give them 5 stars though, cause my mom & I ended up paying more than $200 for our groceries & Fred Meyer in general is kinda pricey.
