Make sure to look up and down or you just might miss something. There's a mixture of items in the store- vintage furniture, modern day clothing, 1970s decor- they have it all. We even went back the next day because we ran out of time. *BE FORWARNED** There isn't a public restroom available! You will have to go across the track to the cafe.

It's not much to look at from outside as it's an old warehouse, but once you get inside the place you find that it's huge. Around the outside at least in the first third of the store are cases with more valuable antiques, small trinket he antiques and plenty of dolls and figurines. They're organized in a somewhat reasonable fashion, but there does tend to be a lot of random this within the different cases. As you continue to the store and realize how far back the place goes, you're treated two small areas that function as separate rooms with specific types of antiques. There's some great cowboy themed ones, plenty of bedroom type antiques and one of the biggest hat sections I've ever seen in the store like this. It was very impressive, and even if you're not looking for anything in particular, there's enough stuff here that you will probably find something you're interested in. When I came back up front, I found that there was a birdcage with a number of small birds inside. They seemed very nice! All things considered, this is a really cool and really big antique shop that is worth your time, before or after you visit the brewery next-door!

I just couldn't leave town without stopping in! I'm a huge reader, so this was actually my first visit in a bookstore since sheltering-in-place, which made the experience all the more special to me. I walked in and was the only one in the store, other than the owner. This is a used bookstore with many prized possessions here. I could've really spent the entire day here, but was given a deadline of 20 minutes by bae because we had a wine tasting appointment we needed to get to. So I quickly found the fiction area and browsed as fast as I could, in search of my next read. They also had a deal where if you buy two books, you get one for free, which was tempting. But sadly, I was only able to find one book in such a short time spent here. However, I scored a first edition of a John Updike novel, so it's really a win-win. Bailey's Bibliomania is located off the main street of businesses in town. Parking is easy to find right out front of the store. The owner was very nice and just as you'd expect from these kind of small bookstores, it's a place where you can talk about books with the owner because he actually reads the material. In my brief chat with him, I learned that Bailey's Bibliomania was named after his beagle that sadly passed away. Yet, you see the image of a beagle in the store's logo throughout the place. I just love that this kind of bookstore makes for such a needed presence today, in a world of screens. Kittitas is lucky to have this here; support this business!

So anyways, I've been to the store probably about eight times and I have been with other people a few of those times and none of us have ever been told. There was a membership that you had to have. I do remember stopping as I walked in and even asking lady like is it OK to go through and she said oh yeah nobody's ever asked me for a card nobody's ever seen anything about a membership. Tonight when I was with my grandson, the gate thing was locked and I looked at the lady who was working there and she said oh I need your membership card and I was like oh I didn't know that you needed a membership . It was no big deal to me, but I was just like surprised. Anyway, she came back with a really rude Answer telling me it's all my fault, and I need to pay attention and all this . So I ended up leaving the store and then there was a guy that was walking in the store that saw her. She talked to me. He ended up leaving the store too. He was like oh I didn't even know there was a membership I've been here a ton of times . So here's the thing I looked it up and I was shocked to find it was only a five dollar membership . If the lady would've just been like oh yeah, it's only five dollars to join in a nice tone instead of saying well it's your fault you didn't pay attention to the sign on the gate in a really rude, crappy tone, I would have just been like oh yeah, sure I'll pay the five dollars no big deal. But now, because of the way that we were treated, I will never be back to the store. I mean it's not like it's easy to get you anyways for those of us who don't drive. But I just think the person they put at the front should be nicer because I wasn't rude to her at all. I was not at all disrespectful. And I think that they need to be a big $5 as you walk into the store and maybe right as you enter in the sliding doors just to keep people's attention. As it was, I just walked down the street and went to the store there. It was no big deal for me but I thought I would write this review so that people know that it is a membership store. It's not that big a deal you can fill it out online but I won't be back .

Upon walking in on your right will be the flesh section. No they're not selling sex but it's an area devoted to meat, you know dead animals who sacrificed themselves for my enjoyment. Nice selection of the flesh including prepackaged sausages from CURRED. For those wondering what CURRED is well it's a local ( Leavenworth ) artisan , handcrafted dry cured meats shop. They offer more than 30 varieties of award winning salami, sausages, and specialty cured meats crafted using traditional methods and high quality ingredients. I grabbed a package of BEEF FRANKS BTW for consumption later... The beer section is epic for a local store but stocked with several local brands you can't purchase at Walmart or Safeway so load up a few 6 packs.... Shocking the produce section was amazing with some really choice vegetables & fruit with vibrant colors and fresh smells... Now in a hidden area is a deli of all things. Dan's staff of elf's are making sandwich's and deep fried items.. The cheap deep fried burritos looked amazing and FRANK made a mental note for next time to grab one... Granted it's a grocery store so most of the items you find anywhere. Yet Dan's has a certain style I appreciate and this is why I'm drawn to shopping here... Anyways that's enough, you must make a stop in order to grasp DAN'S FOOD MARKET experience for yourself... You won't regret it!
