I fell in love with BiBiBop about 9 years ago somewhere up in Ohio. At that point there were none around here. I was so happy when they came to Cincinnati and even happier to have one in Northern Kentucky now. I love Korean food. I love bibimbap. This place is like Chipotle styled bibimbap. It's different than a Korean restaurant... but amazing all the same. I love the purple rice as my base, and spicy chicken for the meat. I get all the cold toppings except pineapples and avocados. As for the hot toppings I get potatoes, black beans, broccoli, and bean sprouts when they have them. They haven't had them in a while and man how I miss them! As for the sauces, their yum yum sauce is amazing! I also like to add a little spicy sriracha. I always get some kimchi on the side as well because I love it so much and want more to mix it. It's also really nice that they offer free miso soup which is good as well. The price is perfect, especially for the large portions they give you. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Pros: The price is good for a grab and go environment. Know that about this place - think Asian Chipotle. No waiters, no wait time - you go up, order your food, and the bowl is made right there. Pros: The broccoli is absolutely amazing. I asked for extra my second time though. Tips: Perhaps order your sauce on the side. If you pile your bowl high (like I do), the delicious sauce doesn't make it down to the noodles/rice. The meat itself is all seasoned well, but if you wanted the sauce to land on the base, maybe mix it up yourself and sauce it yourself. Also: there is free miso soup with every purchase. The employees were super friendly and pleasant to interact with! This is similar to Chipotle with a line where you build your own bowl. Consistently poor experience at this location. It's not every visit, but it is pretty consistent, which leads me to believe it may be related a a particular worker or workers. For example, there were no issues with my previous order just the night before. This order was pretty consistent with the other poor orders I've received. The bowl is only half full, with plenty of white space remaining, and I ordered extra broccoli and only received 4 pieces (this may be a policy because this happens almost every time.) Additionaly, the broccoli and the cucumbers tasted very funny. Like maybe a step was skipped in preparing them. Especially the cucumbers. They tasted so bad I couldn't eat them.
