It's been a while since I've been a jam packed little sushi store and I was loving it. Felt like a tiny slice of New York in the middle of a Kentucky town. We had a wait, many people waiting, tons of to-go orders, but I was fine with it. We got our table, had some salmon nigiri and some rolls and they were great. I'm not sure why someone ordered ramen but they did, and that was not good. Overcooked noodles and undercooked on top like they just let it cook without stirring. I would stick to the sushi! I checked out sake bomb when I was in Atlanta. I am used to West Coast sushi which is probably the best in the US in my opinion, so this was good, but it wasn't amazing. However for the price it was very good, you don't typically see sushi prices that low so I was happy to enjoy my tuna roll, my caterpillar role in my edamame for less than $50 If I'm ever back in Atlanta I'll check them out again. read more

The lot can be difficult getting into when Dixie is backed up around rush hour. If you do make it inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the good service and good food. It's a smaller place but they have dividers up to make it feel slightly more intimate. Food wise I'd say the miso soup was great to start with. Our family's go to sushi and dumpling spot! We order and Door Dash from here weekly. The food is always prepared and sent out the door quickly. I've never had an order messed up and love that you can customize the sushi online or in person. I highly recommend the California roll, Philly roll, rainbow roll, and I'm a HUGE fan of the pork dumplings! Also, just a nice little tip, they always have buy one get one, or % off different items on the menu. We love coming where when traveling for work. I feel transported when I step in here. The sectioned private seating is such a vibe. My first visit was early this year and we only had sushi and bingsu. We loved the variety and the sushi was fantastic. The bingsu on the other hand definitely fell short of my expectations. Second time around I tried the hot stone bowl. I loooove the crispy rice it creates at the bottom. We call this "con-con" or "pegao" in our home and every one always wants a piece from the bottom of the rice pot. I first went to this place a few months ago never having tried sushi before. My dad ordered us all a sweet potato roll and... since that moment... I have now tried sushi. And there's no going back. I've been more than 10 times now, having tried many rolls. So far my favorite is the playboy roll. There's also this Korean beef bowl called the Saki Bomb Special BBQ. I've never walked in here when it wasn't packed. It's a small shop, but charming. Everyone there is nice, and the food has always been 10/10. By far the best sushi I've ever had. Sake Bomb is a great little Asian Restaurant/Sushi Bar in Erlanger. We've been here a few times but it had been quite a while. They have quite a lot Asian dishes but on this occasion we focused exclusively on the Sushi. Among the one's we had were the Sunday Morning (my personal favourite), fire scallop, and the firecracker among others. They are all visually appealing and absolutely delicious. The chef really took a lot of care crafting flavours into every bite. I really can't recommend their Sushi highly enough. Also I know I mentioned this in earlier reviews but the restaurant looks so magnificent and really authentic to Japanese culture. The seating is very close quarters so I must mention that as it might be off-putting to some. All in all the Sushi was excellent, the service was good, and the place looked awesome. Wow! I discovered this place and brought two people back within the next two weeks! It is fantastic! The ambiance is cool - they use rice paper dividers to separate tables, or pull them up to accomodate large groups. The food is fantastic. The sushi is good, but the korean dishes SHINE! The hot stone bowls are fantastic - I've had all three, spicy chicken, porkopolis, and Korean BBQ - and I would recommend spicy chicken above the rest. My friends got the Sake Bomb Special and it did not disappoint! The owner is frequently there with his young daughter - they have a sign with her face saying "Don't feed the candy monster!" :-) Really enjoy supporting local businesses, and will definitely be back! I do recommend probably limiting your party to 4 or less - you will probably get seated faster. They are always popular! read more

Well everyone is right. This place was fantastic. Driving thru town and wanted something different than BBQ. Stepping into this place felt like I was visiting a restaurant in Korea! Sake Bomb popped up on my radar after being featured in a Yelp blog as the top-rated sushi restaurant in all of Kentucky. My husband and I stopped in spontaneously for a late Saturday lunch, and had a great experience! This is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall, but we've learned that's where you often find some of the best food, and Sake Bomb definitely lives up to that promise. We were tempted by their Stone Bowl options - especially after seeing a sizzling order delivered to a neighboring table - but ultimately we just ordered a few sushi rolls to share. A majority of their menu is made up of creative sushi offerings - although they do have the more traditional nigiri and sashimi as well. We got a decent spread of some of their more popular offerings - including the Crab Rangoon roll, the Sweet Mango roll, the Phoenix roll, and the Red Fire roll. Most of these rolls (with the exception of the Red Fire) are fully cooked, so this a great spot for a sushi beginner to dip their toes into the world of raw dining. My favorite was definitely the Sweet Mango, and my husband's was the Phoenix. With extremely fair prices, and delicious food, we'll definitely return to Sake Bomb for lunch or takeout again soon! read more

Went with a friend on her recommendation and I really enjoyed this experience. It is small in size but very big on ambiance, clean and cozy, appreciated the very clean restroom as well. The service was fantastic and the owner is such a wonderful man, very friendly and the conversation flowed freely. We had Tempura Shrimp/fried rice, spicy Kalbi beef/steam rice and side of Kimchi which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Flavors and presentation were excellent and the quick/friendly service all made for a wonderful dining experience. Customer services was amazing and owner was so sweet to us and gifted us something for our first born child who was about 6 weeks when we took her with us. It's a cute little place that gives a cozy vibe and reminded me a lot like mom and pop restaurants in Japan. The Staff was really friendly and checked on us frequently. Ordered their fried wings and deep fried potstickers which both were amazing. The wings were absolutely mouthwatering. It was crunchy and flavorful. Must admit, the wings had a bit of an unexpected kick (spicy) but it was still really good. Also ordered the hot stone bi bim bop and chicken fried rice which both were really good as well. It took me a while to finally get to this place but I'm so glad I finally did! This place is very cozy. Pretty tight inside but they have a lot of shades drawn between tables to ensure more privacy. Staff was very friendly and you could tell they work so hard all day long as it was very busy even on a Tuesday night. Besides sushi, they have lots of other mostly Korean dishes to choose from. We had some assorted sushi as well as a bibimbap bowl and some bulgogi with rice. The bibimbap was amazing! Everything was cooked so well and so flavorful. The stone bowl kept it very hot. The bulgogi was also excellent. Just well spiced and delicious. So we literally went back a week later and had some more. We got everything these same because it was so darn good! I would highly recommend this place. This is definitely a treasure in the Northern Kentucky area when it comes to some good Asian food. read more

My husband and I absolutely love this place. Sake Bomb has never disappointed. My husband's go to was always their bulgogi (which is phenomenal) until he finally tried my spicy chicken+. The bowl is large enough to split or you can just order an extra roll and take your bowl home for dinner (I recommend this option). Service is never lacking the crew there is always wonderful no matter how busy they are. The restaurant is smaller but they have made the best use of the space especially with the amount of customers in and out.
