Despite the age of this set, we continue to appreciate the exceptional quality and timeless style of this Fish purchase. Unfortunately over twenty years the set was showing some stain/finish wear and tear primarily around the bases from vacuum cleaners, dogs and five relocations. We initially contacted a local refinishing business to see if they could perform the repairs, but they didn't provide an in-home service and would require the set be brought to the shop. On a whim, I thought I'd contact Fish to see if they were aware of someone that they would recommend. To my surprise, they said they ABSOLUTELY could, as they had a person on their staff for 30 years that did this sort of work for their Fish customers!! This is a 20 year old purchase! Within a week they had Bob out who was able to bring these pieces back to their original beauty and we could not be more pleased. Fish Furniture takes care of their customers! Thank You!!

So I was bidding on items at Westlake liquidation center and had been for months. They typically…read morewould post if the item was new, open box return or lightly used which I liked. However I did question a few things that I had won regarding their "newness" as I had purchased a slipcover for a loveseat, not original packing and dog hair embedded in it. I washed it and used it b/ci had bought it for b/c of our dogs. I also purchased a Michael Todd dermaplaner which was listed as "new", but had to question its new state since a couple of blades were missing from the package. Did I say anything to them then? No I gave it a good cleaning and purchased new blades. BUT I had to say something on one of my last purchases. It was listed as a "new" Rowenta clothes iron, so I bid on it, and was quite disappointed to find a battered taped up box, that contained a yellowed from original white color, and smelling of moth balls. No way this was new. So I called the number, and a guy answers the phone, never giving his name. Told him the issue, and he replies nonchalantly with, "if you don't like it, bring it back and we will refund you" (take it back to Avon), I said that's it, just bring it back? His reply was "yep is that all you want?" And when I said yes he hung up. So then I felt compelled to write a message via messenger to Westlake Liquidation, which I did, and I got a reply that "Sorry if there was a mix up on our end, just keep the iron, and a refund will be sent. Which they immediately sent and then BLOCKED me from bidding on their website. When I inquired why I was blocked I was told they have a zero tolerance for rude or aggressive behavior toward their staff. I was like wait, I'm the customer who should have received an apology, but because I shared my disappointment with them on their practices, I was blocked from their site, and no one would even talk with me. So BEWARE IF YOU BID ON THEIR STUFF THAT THEY SAY IS NEW!!!! And DONT YOU DARE SHARE YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT IN HOW THEY HANDLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE.!!!!!

I returned to the Maple Heights store October 26th albeit difficult to find. I was initially greeted by a baseball cap, non mask wearing employee. He showed little interest in my needs and request. After making a short tour of the items on the floor, the baseball cap, wearing employee came over and answered a few questions. Once i picked several pieces of furniture was interested in purchasing I asked for a pricing total upon which time I attempted to negotiate what I felt was a fair price. The baseball cap, wearing employee appeared to angerly reject my offer. I pointed out a obvious problem with one item and the employee again expressed anger as he jerked open a dresser drawer. I had more questions and Mr Baseball, Cap walked away. I left the store and called back later asking for a manager. I was told the manager would be in the office on Tuesday, October 27th after 10:00 Am. The person who answered the phone says his name was Tommy and the manager's name Tom. I was unable to reach Tom on Tuesday the 27th. The ole Ignore, let the answering service, leave a message, smoke screen and mirrors deal. No worries, after leaving The Maple Heights store I stopped by nearby Value City Furniture, purchased furniture items W/delivery. Done Deal. No more Northeast Factory Direct in Maple Heights. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The lady working the main desk was very nice and I appreciated her going out of her way to say hello and smile. Prices are much better at this location and they also had a lot of used furniture. I don't remember if I bought anything aside from a few used doors; I may return when I'm back in the area.

Different was the room for housewares with plenty of space. Brand new items are all bedding and rugs. There is a paint section with brushes and supplies. All paint cans are new and unopened. The price was great, but they do not accept credit cards so instead of outright purchasing the instrument in full, I financed it through a financing company they obviously promote at a high interest rate for I was going to pay it off next month or two anyway. With that said, I just received a notice, October 18th via email that my order has been cancelled due to no inventory. So now I probably have to deal with this Financing company while my order has been cancelled. Very frustrating for I was really looking forward to this instrument. I would not recommend doing business with this company
