Believe the hype! The customer service and inventory is Top Tier! I had a hard time finding the entrance, but once I got in - I was immediately welcomed & assisted by the nice lady at the register. Again, their selection is impressive! I saw flavors of whiskey I didn't know existed and was pleasantly surprised! Like Cookie Dough and the Salty Caramel I brought home. Hey! I totally forgot to review this place. I don't get to this store a lot - because it's a little farther out than I like to drive - but the store is large and bright. The owners / staff are very friendly. They have very convenient hours and give 10% discounts on cases (most things but not all). And they run some pretty good sales around the holidays. They are in the plaza with Kroger - very hard to miss. read more

The best liquor store in Powder Springs if you ask me. It looks small from the outside but so far, it carries all the alcohol I drink and I am not complaining. Prices aren't bad either compared to liquor stores in Atlanta. read more

Absolutely love this shop! If they don't have it ask and you shall receive. I've never visited the shop that I didn't have all the help I needed and when I want to browse - done! These folks know the libation business. They even know the product and can recommend nice alternatives for something new. I will never shop with another retailer as long as I'm in this area. Period. I grew up visiting Plain Old Pearson's and Happy Herman's back in the 70's and I love this place for the same reason. The owner (Rod, I think) is incredibly knowledgeable of beers and stocks a very broad range of fantastic beers either in six-pack, single or a create your own six-pack form. I find that Rod and his staff is always friendly. The store is clean and doesn't have that cardboard pine tree air freshener smell. It's just a professionally run liquor store run by passionate people. What more could you want? read more

Literally I've been coming to this store since I moved to powder springs back in 2017. I have always had good encounters and today the manager, Rob, was a complete jerk. As I went to pay for my beer and liquor with a different associate, he was behind the counter staring at me and whispering. Shortly after he asks where the bottle of capriccio my friend had since it wasn't at the counter. My friend who is 21+ years old walked out the store and went to put our Kroger groceries in the car. Rob proceeds to tells me that because of covid-19 he has to sanitize anything we don't buy and put back on the shelves. That's completely fine and understandable. However, the manager FOLLOWS me from aisle to aisle. I literally have never experienced anything like this being a Mexican-American and I find it so disgusting that I'm literally not the only review on yelp from Al's with a review about racial profiling. When I called the store back to ask for the managers name he began cursing at me and talking over me when all I asked was whether or not he was the manager. Never buying here again and I'll be making sure none of my friends or family are coming here either. read more

Friendly staff. It appears to be a mom and pop owned, but don't quote me on that. I used to go to a bigger store in austell that has a huge selection of higher ends brands, but my wife made the discovery that they are a few dollars cheaper on what we buy so that was that. They are really close and I've never left empty handed so I will keep going back. They greet you with a smile and customer service is king. A pretty decent selection of liquor store and wines. I actually think they have outgrown their store with everything they have. read more

No stars if it was possible! Employees are rude and will follow you around the store, the aisle are extremely tight so the presence of someone looming over you is uncomfortable and unnerving. Was not allowed to a step a foot in the door before I was quickly stopped and asked for my ID and an employee blocked the entrance, then a person came in behind me and was not asked for identification or wasn't policed as I was, or at all. You can really see the hatred in their eyes and by their actions the hatred in their heart. read more

Was being constantly followed around the store and watched by multiple workers and when going to checkout I was asked to empty my pockets the employee then says, "ok you can go back" didn't apologize, also the prices are too high for same bottles down the street. read more

Think about the most friendly place and this one matches up right with that. Now as good as that sounds it gets even better, all of the employees are extremely helpful and are very knowledgeable. The owner Rod is a great guy and loves all of his customers and will go out of his way to help, even if you cannot find exactly what you want he will make sure you leave the store happy and ready to come back and visit. Worst shopping experience I've EVER had. I was racially profiled and harassed from the moment I walked into this sorry excuse of an establishment until deciding to walk out and spend my money elsewhere. After walking inside from the 30 degree winter weather outside, I was immediately questioned by all of the racist white employees on why I was "all bundled up"... in a casual winter time parka. I simply responded "it's 40 degrees outside" which seemed to suddenly make sense to the brainless employees beginning to remember the weather. Afterwards, after picking out a bottle then going to look around their very limited wine selection I was followed by a woman very closely. This woman looked drugged out and at first I was scared until I realized it was an employee. I went to pay for my bottle and let the cashier know how uncomfortable I was after being followed around by the woman. He became extremely aggressive and yelled "Well if you look like that and have on a big jacket you better expect to get followed!!". I then asked "look like what?" to which he replied by pointing at the skin on his hand. I was in shock that he admitted so bluntly how racist he and the established he represented was to enforce such policies. I then took my business down the road to Powder Springs Bottle Shop on New Macland that had a larger selection at LOWER PRICES and all the employees were welcoming and friendly. read more

The prices are marked up about $6-$10 more than other package stores in the area. I walked in along with 2 others and was forced to show my ID before walking 10ft inside the place. When asked why i have to show ID at the door, they stated that you have to be 21 years old to enter. Then, behind us a man with a CHILD that was visibly 9 or 10yrs old walked in.....no ID was demanded by them???? They let them walk in, walk around the store, and then he made his purchase without any questions asked. I will not patronize this place again, especially since the prices are too high. read more

This is a clean liquor store with a better than average liquor selection. I can't vouch for their wine selection, I have never bought wine here. Beer selection is only average. Has all the standard domestics from the big three, but a somewhat limited selection or craft and rare beer. I purchased some ballast point sculpin that was old recently. Hops were dead, not what you want from a uber hoppy beer. It won't replace a super store like total wine or Smyrna world of beverage, but a good local store to the west cobb/powder springs area at least. read more
