I can't speak for locals (who may have a different experience/expectation) but as a traveler I thought that the comfortable air conditioned workout room and ample equipment selection were great. It is a smaller gym but there are plenty of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals and a couple of stationary bikes) as well as a good selection of machines and free weights. The locker room is clean and spacious. You do have to bring a towel or you can buy/rent one from the front desk. Although I didn't go at a peak time, the floor was pretty active with a few muscle twinks ("eye candy") who were polite but they did tend to hog key pieces of equipment (leg press and squat rack). Social distancing and mask wearing were strictly enforced.

Several of the cardio machines are not working or not working correctly. Other gym equipment, like weight benches, had torn cushions and probably should've been thrown out long ago. The bathroom was especially frightening. I didn't even feel comfortable using the one toilet in the men's room, it smelt horrible and was very, very dirty. The sink looked like it was falling. Too bad because the gym is in a great location with a great view from the third floor. The owner needs to invest in his business or customers, like me, won't be coming back,

At $27 US it's a bit pricy, but given that they supply the blankets and the space and set up and clean up, and given the lovely location, it's definitely worth it.

There's no AC, the equipment is old (but some great old school machines) and it's not huge, but to me this is the best gym deal in PV. They do offer a pool and standard gym equipment. If anything is broken, it's just broke. For the price, there are other/better gym options in PV. Gallerias is $5 more a month than Vivefit and is open 7 days a week with all equipment and services fully operational with a professional staff. (Vivefit is closed Sundays) Or Central gym which is much cheaper than Vivefit and offers the same equipment minus the pool.

This is more of a rual and rugged resort not a five star hotel. The rooms are open air with a mosquito net around the bed. The beds are confortable and the views of the ocean from the room I had was amazing. I went with a group so did two pilates classes a day, I think they offer one yoga class per day for those not with a group running their own classes. The outings offered are fun. Hikes guided by someone that has a ton of local knowledge, Visits to local towns, whale watching, and bird watching. Take advantage of these! The resort is only accessable by boat make sure to bring everything you need. It is nice being at such a quiet and relaxing place. They've upgraded their wi-fi so there is wi-fi avaliable everywhere in the resort. I didn't do much on my phone but the internet was fast and seemed reliable.
