If you use yelp, then you will save yourself from a lot of wasted time and disappointment, with that said, I found my dentist on yelp and could not be happier! I was able to fill out my new patient work from their website, which saved me time. I don't think I waited a whole minute before they called my name. Once I was in the chair, they started right away.....There is a lot to be said for a doctor's office that you do not have to wait...at all! I am not sure how they do it, but it was the most comfortable dentist experience ever; my mouth/lips did not feel weird after wards, because they were so gentle....more so than when I floss my own teeth! They explain everything they are doing, what they are looking for etc....although you are in and out in a timely manner, they do not rush. You get their full attention as if you were the only patient that day. I am actually looking forward to going back....

The office is bright & fairly modern in the exam areas, and I really like that they have computers right there to show your x-rays right away. But sorry, no TVs like some of the other dentists in the area, but that's OK with me. They do have music on speakers, though. The cleaning and exam were very thorough and I didn't feel like the Dr. was rushing off to another patient - he took his time and talked to me and reviewed everything, making me feel like a valuable patient.

They walked me through everything and made me feel super comfortable and confident in my choice of going to Southwest Oral Surgeons. PS. I had no problems with my insurance and they also asked for all of the information of it prior and let me know that I was covered. I did not have any problems like some of the previous comments state.

I particularly wanted a Cosmetic Dentist, and Dr. Mike Frith came highly recommended. I called his emergency number, and he met me at his office on the holiday weekend!! He took an x-ray and photos, and he explained every step thoroughly. I had been able to save my tooth and took it with me, and he was able to use it and not have to create a tooth. He performed a much better overall screening than any of the other 3 and also saved me money by not trying to veneer my bottom teeth (the other dentist wanted to just replace everything when I latter found out that was really going overboard). Stated that my lower teeth were fine and it was better to keep my real teeth. This saved me money now and will help in the future when, at some point, I have to have the veneers retouched. He definitely came across as a caring guy for his patients. I had cracked one of my temporary's and he came in on a Saturday morning out of his busy weekend to help touch it up so I wouldn't look a fright. I can't say enough good things about this guy. I was seen for a consultation to extract a wisdom tooth on 2/13. I thought I would just be writing about how rude the woman who scheduled me on the phone was, or the woman at the front desk's attitude. But first I think it's important that patients know how I was treated by Dr. Tentindo. I have gotten a lot of dental work in my life before, but I've moved around a bit, and I was eager to try a new office that recommended Dr. Tentindo as a surgeon. I was disappointed to find that Dr. Tentindo was a typical archetype- impersonal and disinterested. I'm sure he knows how to do dental surgery, but for me, bedside manners are important. He did not make eye contact with me, did not shake my hand or call me by my name. He recited and did not explain. It is rude and incredibly difficult to work with- I felt like there was no room to ask questions in the moment. Already being nervous about a surgery, the atmosphere he created did not help. What's worse is that it seems like he KNOWS this behavior is disingenuous, but doesn't seem to care. It makes me wonder why he is in a patient-facing position. That standoffish attitude is troubling to say the least. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I will not be scheduling to have my wisdom tooth removed by him. There's no way I could trust someone like that to put me under and work on my mouth. If he discarded me like that at the consultation, I can't imagine how he would behave during surgery. I want others to take caution and learn from my mistake. Please do not consider this office for your surgical needs. Hopefully he will take action in the future regarding the lack of interest in his patients and amend his distant and cold personality. But for now, trust me. Unfortunately, there's more to my experience. Upon scheduling my appointment, I was treated unkindly. The scheduler was rude when I stated that I didn't have insurance. She said "well then you need to have payment at the appointment," which sort of implies she figured that I would not have it. It is inconsiderate to the health insurance crisis at large, and insinuates a false trope that those without insurance are low class citizens not deserving of treatment. I also was confused because I called to be scheduled at the Mercy location and was scheduled for the Chesterfield location without any reason or clarification. I'm sure Mercy was booked, but being transparent with patients goes a long way. Perhaps this isn't protocol for this office, but I also was never notified about my upcoming appointment. I didn't receive any type of confirmation call or email. I called the morning of to double check my appointment, because I feared it hadn't actually been scheduled. I'm used to constant communication with any medical events in my life, so it really threw me off. It all made sense when I met the woman at the front desk. She was being rude to an elderly woman in front of me. The woman's prescription wasn't ready, and the woman at the desk was going off on her about how it wasn't their fault. The older woman was being gentle, obviously trying to diffuse the situation. I know how long prescriptions can take, so I didn't think too much into the situation other than noting how rude the receptionist was to the woman. BUT THEN, as I was leaving my appointment, I saw Dr. Tentindo on his cellphone, presumably with the pharmacy- he looked up and said, "I sent it two hours ago." With the rudest look on his face! How unprofessional can you be? Last but not least, when it was time to pay, I had to face the dreadful front desk lady. I tried to pay with a CareCredit Card, in my father's name, that he and I worked together to get specifically for the dental work. I have used this at other dental facilities with no issues. Honestly, the main issue wasn't even that the woman wouldn't let me use it, it was the way she was interacting with me that was uncalled for. I bit my tongue and we worked out a solution, but I am shocked at how subpar her costumer service skills are. In general, this office needs a serious internal audit--from the dentist, to the staff and it's overall affect on the atmosphere. I truly felt compelled to write this review because I think the office, specifically Dr. Tentindo, needs an honest opinion about the way they are treating their patients. Brookwood Dental is THE most professional, skilled/competent dental office that we have ever…read morevisited. (We are seniors). I personally had a bridge placed, and cleaning. Husband, just a cleaning. We feel blessed that Brookwood Dental are presently taking new patients at this time. Before they complete a procedure, they check your insurance, and then give you a printout of charges, and patient responsibility's amount. Thankful for Brookwood Dental's honesty/transparency.

March 2017, a tooth snapped off while eating dinner. I'm happy to have found a dentist who can see me the next day since I was in pain. He was able to temporarily glue it back until I become permanent at this new job and have insurance. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this dentist is not in my dental insurance network. Two months later, tooth fell off again. I saw a different dentist who glued it back. Thereafter, I visited the oral surgeon to whom they referred me. They were good, but inside me says that I should get a second opinion. Dental office #3, I went to see last month, August 2017. This office was almost great but the insurance/finance gal frustrated me. Not sure whether she really knows what she's doing. Needless to say, I decided to see Dental office #4, Brookwood Dental Center. It's as if I have been "dating" guys who are "nice" but gave no spark, I think I found "The One." Dr. Stegmann did not make me feel as if I'm just "squeezed" between VIP patients. I could sense that he heard me -- me, as a competent person; me, as one who is asking for a caring help. I also sensed his labor over my dilemma (ie costs) versus what is good for my dental health. And he courteously acknowledged the pleasure of meeting me before he exited the room. It felt sincere and not a perfunctory gesture. Then Lisa, the insurance/finance person, came in with her customary papers. I had to stop her after a few minutes, to tell her how comfortable she made me feel and how I appreciate her gentle, knowledgeable, caring presentation of the plan costs. Her want to meet my (financial) concerns is palpable! She was not just pointing out how much I need to cough up. She met me in a way as if she's there to help me afford "this." It was a breath of fresh air to meet one like Lisa, doing her job, with the attitude of wanting to help and be helpful. As I mentioned earlier, like dating, I may have found the Dental Office that I want to continue to see. Having a fear of dental work I was terrified to have a root canal. I usually use laughing gas for…read moredental work, Dr Kowalski doesn't offer it in his office. He told me I would be okay without it and he would get me through the procedure. Which is what he did and it was painless after the initial shot. Between visits my tooth felt much better. When I went back for the second visit I was more relaxed and again had no pain. I would highly recommend Dr Kowalski if your ever in the need for a root canal.
