Great place to eat. Good people very friendly staff. Me and my buddy got lamb wraps and they were delicious, good meat portion and very good sauce and veggies. They offered us a sample of butter chicken and that was amazing as well. After I was done eating the man offered me many different hot sauces to try! They were all tasty and homemade! As well gave me some hummus that was very tasty way better than the store bought hummus. He should try and make a product line of them. The music and vibes were great as well. I will be coming back again for the butter chicken while I am in Vancouver. It is a little bit on the expensive side but for the quality of the food, the heart and soul put into it and the massive portion size it is definitely worth it! Tiny place, only a couple seats inside. Friendly service though and the food is awesome. My kids loved the beef donajr wrap, flavour was pretty good. I was finished my Lynn Canyon hike with my son and I was craving a donair. Ive always wanted to try this place and today I had a chance. I was delighted to see that they served kebab! Not many places do and so I had to try it. Very juicy kebab! The sauce on it is very unique to me and that is the main difference I see with others that I have tried so far. Other kebabs were on the dry side. But not this.. and the sauce soaks into the rice making it so flavourful. Honesty, I don't need any extra side sauces to accompany this item.. but it's nice to have. I will definitely come back (the ice cream baklava looks so delicious). Wonderful service and excellent food - it's all you need to know! Oh - it's hard to spot because it's so small... but it adds to the charm and authentic vibe (while trapping the rich and delicious aromas)! The owner is a pleasure to chat with and even surprised me with a little Norwegian (also speaks excellent English and I'm sure a few more languages I'm unaware of haha)! The owner Yaseen is passionate about his made from scratch ingredients and dishes- no reheating factory prepared meats and sides here. The unassuming strip mall he is nestled in doesn't do his quality of food justice and passion justice. In my first visit, Yaseen took me on a delicious tasting tour of various sauces he created to compliment dishes- each was amazing (he was surprised that I asked for his spiciest sauce and got elated to let me try others). Great donair. You can tell that the owner / chef takes great pride in his business. This comes through in the taste and quality of his food. The falafel is the best I have found anywhere. The chicken donair is also excellent. He makes everything to order, even chopping the veggies for the donair. Make sure you have some time because your order will take about 10-15 minutes to prepare. Like many reviews begin....we ended up here by mistake . Couldn't get off the north shore on Friday and decided to get take away and go home. So happy we stumbled into Big Bite Donair. The woman who greeted us was lovely. She let us try some hot sauces and prepared our donairs with such care and attention. The food is done with care and attention to quality - came in for the falafel plate and it was delicious! The owner is obviously passionate about his craft and the hot sauces are homemade!! Firstly there is no washroom which is against health regulations. If you offer seats and it is partially a sit down place if someone requests to use the bathroom they should be able to use it. I wanted to wash my hands before eating as I was raised for hygiene. They packed my to go plate, however, didn't logically put spoons. They didn't close the tray tightly and oil leaked in the back. It was placed in such a way that the rice flipped. For what you pay there's no value. The plate doesn't even come with pita bread. Customer service was decent. Taste was decent. read more

They kindly offered Tikka Kabab Special (one skewer) on the house, and from what I learnt it's their signature dish which took them 17 years to master the taste. Absolutely a must try! Terrible terrible food. Out of desperation and starvation I stopped in for a donar. Firstly they don't ask you want you want. They just throw it together. The lamb as soo strange, very fine almost powdery and strangely crunchy. Defiantly not lamb. Don't eat the hummus not sure what it was it defiantly was not chick pea hummus. The owner could tell I was in a rush and took his time, talked to me, and asked how I heard about his place, and asked me if I had Koobideh before in the past. I said yes, and he said, just wait until you try mine, It's the best you will ever had. It was actually the worst I've ever had, and I've had a lot in various places around north van. Dry, spicy meat, with a dill sauce next to the tahini that does not match the meat flavor. The tahini sauce is very good and fresh tasting but why pair it with dill? It was not good. The salad was good, although a tiny bit sparse.. The rice was very good, although almost slightly a bit mushy. Gave me a card with a "buy 10, get one 50 percent off." I feel like it should be, buy ten, get one free, as 10 is a lot and I'm not coming back, but whatever. He kept glorifying his food as the best and has only 5 stars ratings posted on the wall. Great food, great service. They are also not afraid to stay late. Unlike their neighbours who stop taking orders 20 min before closing.

I had the lamb donair wrap, it was tasty and a good size, the couple running the restaurant seemed nice. The place was newly opened when I visited in August 2014 and I think it's worth a try. Enjoy! read more
