Uhh uhhh uhh yeah, this is a good restaurant the food to really good food at A&W their drinks. Oh I love the root beer drinking their root beer just hits nostalgia from when I was 11 even though it's more of a Dr. pepper guy I still loved it. The service was great. Worst service. The food was cold and it took forever to get. If it was ready why did it sit there getting cold??? No one there seems to care. This was the third time I went and the last time. This is by the worst A&W in Canada!!! The owner should be ashamed read more

We received our order right this time but I had to approach them to ask for my order even though I was very visible for them. I ordered via mobile and waited mobile order spot for five minutes. Obviously some stuff noticed me but no greetings. It wasn't busy at all. Lack of awareness, lack of basic customer service skills, and disorganized. read more

Hubs & I stopped in to pick up a couple burgers on the way home. We like A&W for the values they promote in sourcing their ingredients. We ordered the limited angus teen burger with mushrooms. He got fries. I got onion rings (because if you are going to do this fast food thing you do it all committed) The guy behind the counter was the highlight of our visit. He was funny & seemed to enjoy being there which makes for a good experience. He promoted the burgers we ordered and even detailed why they were the best option. I just REALLY appreciate great customer service! That said... The 3 stars are all for him. I added an extra star in appreciation of how clean the place was. I like that. Despite my lowered expectations of fast food i was disappointed by the onion rings being less than warm. The burger was uninspired but with the help of some amazing BBQ sauce i have on hand @ home it found it's way down my gullet. Hubs fries were also not very warm. But he enjoyed his burger. It has been years between visits to A&W for me and it may be another while, but the stop in was worth it to encounter the entertaining service. read more

I've been here few times. I ordered a Smoked Gouda Uncle and Mozza Burger last Saturday. I made them as combos and extra topping which means I paid additional toppings. When I went to inside and waited for my mobile order, a staff approached me and asked me what's my order. Then, another staff approached me saying they ran out Smoked Gouda. As my conversation with the staff, I can order any burger, so I ordered Papa Burger. I should have told them I ordered Smoked Gouda with additional toppings. Without checking the details of my orders, I left the store. I was disappointed with the basic customer service skills which their customer receive the right orders. My bro and i were just roaming around the area when i felt peckish for some fries. Ive always loved a&w fries, most of the A&Ws ive been to always had FRESH, HOT from the fryer fries and ive come to expect that from all a&ws. This location is quite out of the way and modeled after the old diner look still, complete with the frosted mugs. They have 24hr drive thru which is a great choice for all franchises. I ordered a large fries to stay a was told that it would take roughly 2mins to cook up a new batch. "SCORE" i though to myself, as the prophecy has been fortold. Minutes later, my fries were personally delivered to my table by the manager himself. Now that was service and boy were my fries hot and fresh. I love a good fry and a&w always has good fantastic burger deals like 2 teens for 7, and 3$ sirloin uncles. And with that, i left satisfied and happy. I bid you adeiu. read more

Mama Burger with Cheese Combo is my favourite. Their burger meat is hormone free, which I like. Also there drive-through is open 24 hours which is nice for late night snacks. read more

First off, the young guy who served me was great. Friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. The food however... when a fast food restaurant charges an extra $4 for onion rings and your order is $11, those onion rings should NOT be stale and rubbery! Would give it zero stars if possible. The girl at the counter was the most abhorrent little c*nt I've ever has the displeasure of encountering. The sh*ttiest little attitude I've ever seen. Barely acknowledged me and when she finally decided she was ready to take my order she she said "ok what" I tried to tell her my order and she kept interrupting me. And "ugh"ed me when I asked for extra bacon. I understand that food service isn't the most glamourous job and is often frustrating, but it's 8:30 in the morning and her attitude was so deeply unacceptable. read more

Although the foreign staff are very pleasant, after many hunger-driven, late-night trips to A&W, I have come to the conclusion that they - most of them foreign - don't understand how to construct a delicious and attractive hamburger. Too much mayo sauce and huge leafs of lettuce make for a slimy, mushy mess. They need to be trained or retrained by hamburger-eating chefs. I will not waste another dime on this place or the other North Vancouver A&Ws until they train their staff to make decent hamburgers. The ingredients are good, the staff courteous, but their hamburgers are terrible and they shouldn't be. The staff or the managers are clearly at fault. read more

The staff here are terrible. My friend and I wanted to order 4 buddy burgers but the woman kept putting in 2. We told her we wanted 4, not 2. She took a look at the order and told us in a very condescending way, "it says here you want 2." ???????? Was she brain dead?! It took me a lot to not call her some names and storm out of there. After my friend convinced this dumbass that we wanted 4, she begrudgingly changed the order. Who knew it would be such an ordeal to get some freaking buddy burgers. April 6,2017 tonight at about 6 pm, my partner I went to this location to get some Chubby Chicken. While we were standing in front of the counter a woman was returning fries. A&W use the little fryer bins to serve their fries in to reduce impacts to the environment (very progressive) she held two of the bins. She told the young lady working the counter that she wanted to return the fries as they were cold. The employee took both of the bins and turned to the kitchen. I could see the fryers and the cook and she past them to the cook saying they were cold and he took them. The girl got the lady new ones. I saw the cook had placed the two baskets in the warmer area. To my horror I see him dump both baskets into fry bin and turn on the heat light. He then takes a bucket of new fries from the cooker and dumps it into the fries that had been returned. He then uses a utensil to mix the fries all together. I never described the fries that had been return but they appeared over cooked with them wilting like greasy fries that had been sitting for a while. Nor did I mention that my primary reason for my disgust is that if they do this with fries what improper food handling do,they do with the rest of the food they serve at this location. If it food drops on the floor do the pick the meat patty up and continuing to cook it? They stress in the ads that they care about what they serve to us customers and how fresh the products are and the quality is prime???? I also never mention this is the same location a few months back I visited due a Teen Burger craving. I took it home and ate it but it just didn't seem like the patty was fresh. Hard to explain. After that I kept regurgitating my food. I had a hard time sleeping and swore never to have a Teen Burger again. The next day I went to work but ended up in emergency puking and spent until 8pm that night in hospital. I never thought that I had food poisoning from A&W and can't say it was but I can tell myself to stay away from this location as what that cook did was against the health board standards. They cannot serve food again once it has been served and tomorrow I intend to file a complaint as it really has made me question the health standards of this location and A&W's truth in their advertising. read more

I usually go to this store on Marine Drive, North Vancouver but recently i have noticed that the kitchen staff don't wear disposable gloves when preparing food, I have mentioned this to the cashiers couple of times but no actions have been taken. I am so frustrated at this, I will follow up with the head office and also health officers responsible for this store. read more
