Romanelli's has made the biggest difference in my son's life! My son was diagnosed with Aspergers…read morebefore he was 3 and in the first few years of his life he was completely non-verbal. Eventually, with early intervention and lots of behavioural therapy he began thriving. But still, once he was mainstreamed in school and was academically caught up to his peers, we struggled to find something for him to partake in that he not only enjoyed but made him feel like he wasn't different and helped him engage with his peers socially. We tried team sports, boy scouts, and community events but nothing was working. Then we found Romanelli's. From the get go, you could tell this was different. The people here really care about their students, what your goals for them are and their needs. They not only teach physical form, but social skills and life skills. My son has been at Romanelli's less than a year, and already he has benefited more from his time with them than he did in 4 years of behavioural therapy. He engages with others now, he looks us in the eye when he talks, and he communicates his emotions with us. It has given him a moral code as well that he strives to stick to in everything he does. Best of all, he has made friends! He even started at a brand new school about 6 months after starting here and his teacher has said that if I hadn't told her he was on the spectrum, she would have never known. I know I owe so much of that to all of the amazing teachers here. On top of that, because of the relationship he formed with his teachers and peers, he has found something he is truly passionate about. He now loves karate and practices daily and it has taught him to set goals for himself that he truly works to achieve in every aspect of his life. This is no ordinary dojo... I have been through a little bit of karate at a couple other places with my older son as well as so many other sports and organizations with all 3 of my children. The relationship that Romanelli's builds with ALL of their students AND their families is a truly rare thing to find! Actually, so far so Awesome…read more Ms. Shelby is their teacher and although she is younger she really runs that preschool room very efficiently and smoothly, and all the kids including mine love her. The overall facility is very clean and organized, with the children divided into appropriate age groups. The security system to get into the building makes me feel safe leaving my kids there. Beside a curriculum of learning, my twins have also experienced the tumble bus while there, weekly music classes, work on fine motor skill by playing games and climbing the rock wall that is in the gym- yes a Rock Wall, how cool is that for the kids. One of the best things is you get to keep up on what your child is doing throughout the day via emails you are sent, I know exactly what they are doing every time they switch activity/learning lesson. Only thing that bothers me is there is no snack time. My 3 yr. olds are there from 9-11:30am and there is no snack time. My kids are not big eaters when they wake up, but I know around 10pm they are hungry. I feel bad they cannot eat until I pick them up 11:30am. I wish I was able to provide a snack so that they could have a 10 minute break to refuel. Oh, and there is no "contract" at this place either, all you do is give 2 week notice should your situation change and you no longer want to attend.

For kids that age, all the kids' baba should be labeled for which child is each bag for. The room was kept messy and disgusting and was not organized at all. The whole place was so blunt and boring, it didn't even look like a kids place. So glad I found a better place for my kids. I have had an excellent experience working with Kelli on improving my swim strokes. As someone who…read morestarted more seriously swimming as an adult, there were a lot of gaps in my technique. She has helped me to understand how to have more efficient and effective freestyle and strokes. In each coaching session, you get advice, then try to apply it while being taped, then look at the tape and adjust. It really helps you to see what you are doing versus what you thought you were doing. For me one of the biggest benefits is that Kelli is helping me to swim freestyle in a way that puts significantly less strain on my shoulders. I went from having some pain in my rotator cuff after any swim longer than an hour to having no pain at all. This will allow me to swim for decades to come without injury or pain. Very grateful! Coaching is way more comfortable and cost effective than setting myself up for shoulder surgery. Also, one final piece of advice is that I recommend you buy a package versus just one off coaching sessions. It takes time to really internalize changes and modify your strokes bit by bit.
