Despite being short staffed that particular day, the owner of the business drove to where my son's car was parked, removed the tire, took it back to his shop, repaired it, and had one of his employees put it back on my son's car on his way home from work. All within 2 1/2 hours on a Saturday. Outstanding service from the moment I called for help right through to an employee finishing the job after hours. They had me bring my own parts to save me money, something I would not think to do until now. Service took less than an hour while I waited comfortably in the cleanest, freshest smelling automotive repair shop waiting room. I was very happy with Hoosick Tire and happy I've found a good, honest mechanic I can rely on for future repairs and service. Couldn't choose no stars or I would have…read more I was having brake issues, so I posted on a neighborhood page in FB to see if anyone could recommend a local garage that was reasonable (the dealer wanted $1000). I got several recommendations, but I also got a message from a guy who seemed sympathetic and said that $1000 was way too much. He told me he had a garage and could do the work right away. That should have been a sign. I talked to him on the phone, and we talked details of the job. Bottom line was that it would be between $200 and $300 if I didn't need rotors. I wasn't feeling any vibration, it was just rubbing, so I figured I wouldn't need rotors. He was reasonable on the prices he quoted for pads, so I figured he'd be reasonable if I needed rotors too. When his mechanic looked at the brakes, he said I only needed 2 rotors. Good news. I figured it would be another $150 for the rotors. When the job was finished, I was presented with a bill for almost $700. The owner wasn't there, so I had to pay to leave. I contacted him to let him know that I wasn't happy. He said that I must have misunderstood the prices he quoted. I pointed out that if he had replaced all the rotors (like the dealer was going to do) and used OEM parts (like the dealer was going to do) his bill would have been over $1000, which he had originally agreed was way too much. Meanwhile, I had to have new tires installed and the tire company had to replace all of the lug nuts on my car (at a cost of $200) because the mechanic who did the brakes had not put the lug nuts back on properly. You need to use a torque wrench, which the owner said was used. (I was sitting outside the garage while the work was being done and the mechanic was using a regular impact gun.) He also said that the lug nut problem was caused by the tire company not knowing how to remove them properly. After a couple of conversations with the owner, it was obvious he wasn't going to accept any responsibility for any of the issues he and his mechanic caused. He offered me a free oil change. No way will I trust this garage to do any work on my car!

This is my first visit. The location is conveniently right off of the highway. The signage is…read moreexcellent. I was immediately able to locate the Ford sign from a mile away. When I turned onto the road to enter Ford there was ample signage for the service area. I knew exactly which direction to turn into to enter service, where to park and there was also a service sign with enter here directly over the service entrance area. This is always helpful when this is your first visit. They immediately served me and entered my information and I signed up for shuttle service, but because I arrived so early. They said they could have my car serviced early so I could drive myself. I said great, I'll wait. 15 minutes before they promised to have the car done the service rep came and told me they were done with one finding and if I opted to have that service they would still have me done on time. Well, unfortunately, my car wasn't done on time and when I went to the service rep he apologized and said there was no charge for the service that day. I truly appreciated that they stand by their word. They also have a coffee service which I totally appreciate as a cup of joe in the morning person. I'll definitely be back.

They will tell you things that need to be fixed that are not true, you may even come out with a problem that you did not have before, but now suddenly have, my guess is that they're on commission, and makes things up. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else do not give this dealership the opportunity to screw anyone else over. And if you put a complaint into corporate, it's never addressed. It is up to the dealership to contact you about your issue, and they just never ever call. They simply do not care.
