They had a reputation for helping people who were far from home. Connor came and towed our car. He was pleasant, affable, good-humored, indulgent, and his manner helped to put me at ease. He told me probably his boss would look at it in the morning and hopefully they could diagnose and fix it by the afternoon. That's exactly what happened. By late Saturday afternoon I paid a very fair price for the repair and towing, and drove away feeling tremendously lucky and grateful. John the mechanic even seemed a little abashed that he'd messed up his addition and nearly overcharged me by 22 cents! Friendly, honest, capable, decent, kind. Thanks very much indeed, guys.

My only truly substantive concern was related to the primary reason that I brought my car in for servicing. An electrical malfunction had rendered my low beams inoperable.
