We had pet turf installed in February. I have mixed reviews. Installation was pretty good, however there was a lack in communication. There was also a lack of communication after having it installed. Since having it installed, we have 2 issues. 1st of all, we have a lot of grass growing up between the turf. And 2nd, since it has gotten hot, the turf is really hot. And I know they put down the cooling stuff. But in the afternoon, when the sun is on the yard, our dog doesn't want to go potty because it burns her feet. We didn't think we would have to deal with those 2 issues especially after paying what we did. The positives are my dogs don't get as dirty and my floors stay cleaner. read more

Wow. big Bully Turf was amazing. The team was very particular on each cut in our yard. The project manager Brock was always on it. Whitney or dales girl was always available to answer questions. Whitney did a digital video of what our yard would look like. It was perfect. I was really worried our girls (senior pugs) would not take to it. They had no problem taking to it. Not only that but I had no more muddy or wet prints in my home. I'm obsessed with Big Bully Turf! I love it so so much. I recommend to everyone. Great experience. Our sales rep came at a later time slot to accommodate our busy schedules, so we could both be present. Answering all of our questions. We had a hard rain that weekend so our installation was pushed until next day. They showed up promptly and finished within the day. Do not use this company. Although I do appreciate that they responded here on Yelp, it was incorrect and false information. I previously had turf in the area where I contracted this company to install new turf on it. This area was sinking and they said they would dig up the area and put new material there to make it flat again. Once they were on site, the foreman (Sean) said that there is good material already there and they would save a whole day of labor to not have to do this portion of the project. Sean stated that this a large portion of the job. He said to get with my sales rep and project manager on the credit. Well... the sales rep (Brandon) and project manager (Brittany) disappeared. Then there was the burnt, raised, and lumpy turf issue. Sean again came back out and said that the butt seam was frowned upon and it should have been a serpentine seam. I have all of this documented in text messages from Big Bully Dog Turf and they have been extremely inconsistent in there messaging to me. Yes, I do want to be credited for work that didn't happen. Yes, I did want the serpentine seam after the foreman said that's what should have been done. I have requested (in writing) to be contacted by someone in leadership at your company from Chelsea in your warranty department, and just as I imagined, no one has reached out. FYI your contract is useless and doesn't state scope of work as I have requested multiple times. By all means, use their contractors to install. Avoid this company to install it though read more

I hired Big Bully Turf in April 2025 to install artificial turf at my home. Within weeks, grass from the original lawn began growing up through the turf -- not surface weeds, but grass regrowing from roots that were never properly removed. It became so bad that you couldn't even tell it was turf, it just looked like overgrown lawn (which it was). This indicates a clear failure in site preparation and installation. What makes this even more telling is that other sections of turf they installed in my yard are perfectly fine -- only one area is failing, which proves the issue is due to inconsistent or careless labor, not maintenance. Despite a written 4-year labor warranty (which they sell you pretty hard on at the outset), Big Bully Turf has repeatedly ignored my warranty claim and failed to provide any response or remediation plan. At the beginning, when I could get a response, I was met with dismissive and condescending communication that made it clear they had no genuine intention of helping resolve the problem. Later, they straight up ghosted me. I have given the company every opportunity to make it right, including submitting a formal written claim and waiting well past the response deadline. Their silence speaks volumes about how they stand behind their work and their customers. They are friendly in their sales pitch but as soon as they take your money they are extremely disappointing. If you're considering this company, I strongly recommend against it. They've made it clear to me that they will not stand behind their warranty and do not value customer service or relationships whatsoever. read more

After shopping around I received 4 quotes on replacing my entire front and Backyard. The Brilliance Turf was literally three times the quality of everything I seen on the market. Obviously a woman's touch in designing the turf was the difference. Every company was between 12-13 dollars a foot however the process, material, and installation was next level at Big Bully Turf. The sales process was easy and no pressure. The only thing was Big Bully was 4 weeks out on installs but they don't subcontract so was willing to wait. When it came to the install Big Bully turf went way beyond the job I contracted for. During our install large roots were discovered under our dead grass. They had to rent a cutting machine and the job went from a 2 day to a four day job. I thought at any point I was going to get hit with an Extra charge but they never asked and just got the work done. We hired Big Bully Turf to install a 3x70 ft dog run along our back fence. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. The workers didn't arrive until 4 p.m. with zero communication or notice. When they finally showed up, the job was rushed and incredibly sloppy. The turf is not level, doesn't run evenly along the fence, and the seams are already separating. It's also coming up along the front edge. Worst of all, they left behind materials--including U-pins--right in the dog run where our pets could have easily been injured. Their crew also damaged part of our yard, and we had to replace 120 square feet of sod ourselves. After they received final payment, we've had no communication whatsoever. No follow-up, no response to messages, no concern for quality or customer service. Extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend Big Bully Turf to anyone, especially pet owners. read more

I texted with the guy and he said he couldn't come out because it was raining. I guess they don't have rain in California but anyway he said he was gonna come later in the day. Why don't you just leave an estimate here when you get a chance just for the front and we'll take it from there. I haven't heard from him again. I want to say that overall the quality of the work was 5 star. However. As an avid golfer, I really wanted a quality putting green to use. Unfortunately I got a conversation piece. Guests will excited until they try to putt. There isn't a true roll and they could have made the green bigger. Big Bully you came so close to getting a perfect score.
