This is becoming our go-to pizza in Richmond. People are friendly and helpful - always feel welcome. The restaurant itself is a little bare-bones, no-frills... but it does the job. Tables, TVs, etc. When the dough is fresh it's definitely on par or better than the other local options. Keep up the good work guys! read more

One of my favorite pizza places. I'm only giving four stars because you will be waiting at least 30 minutes to pick up a pizza. It doesn't matter if you arrive right when it says it will be done, it's not and you will be sitting in there with about 8 other people waiting as well. Big City is more of a takeout or delivery pizza. The dine in experience is a bit disappointing. Besides a hole in the wall feel which I can certainly look past, you'll be eating off paper plates and plastic utensils. We tried the Chicago Style pie which was a decent pizza but very difficult to eat with what was provided. Don't expect service either, more of a fast food, serve yourself type experience. read more

I visited the BCP in Nicholasville and it was one of the best food and service. Here in Richmond it was worse than 2 week old frozen chucky cheese pizza. No cheese, burnt crust. The crust had to much flour in it, which made the crust tough as leather shoes. The small amount of item that were not burnt did have a good taste. No sauce that could be seen. A waste of $60.00. If anyone contacts me I will update this review but don't hold your breath. If they don't care about the pizza why would they care about the customer. read more

We had a group order for take out. They couldn't get the names right. We had a bit of a wait. When we got the orders they had added a 70 cent cost to each order for (grow local) we were not told about this. Also, the cost didn't match what we were told. We had ordered online. I started this out looking for fried shrimp. But the local shrimp shop had a line of cars wrapped around the building, so I went to the Madison County Foodies group and asked for suggestions. Lo and behold someone said, try Big City's cheesesteak sandwich. Got Great curbside service, the waiter assured me that it was the best sandwich they made. So I said, signed me up. With In a very reasonable period of time here came my waiter, curbside with my sandwich. With great anticipation I unwrapped it. It looks beautiful, I even took a picture. My first bite; a good taste but the beef was very dry. Darn I was a little disappointed. Maybe it was just a stormy night at the Big City Pizza place; things like that happen. Ordered quite a bit of food, had a couple of special items added to pizzas. Directions not followed, missing food. I called the store, Misty the manager(who has been there 3 years) non-apologetic, until I started getting upset. The fact that she said she could have the driver drop off the food after his other deliveries is both RUDE, screwed up and unacceptable. "Well, there is no reason to make others people's orders late." Or I can give you a credit. You have lost a loyal every week customer for sure. No longer a patron. We used the online ordering for pick up. It was easy, fast, & everything was just as ordered. The food was excellent! The pizza was really good. The salads were good. We also got the meatballs which were very tasty & more flavorful than expected. The cannolis for dessert we're about double the size we expected. We're from Cincinnati, but if we ever pass through Richmond again, we'll definitely be repeat customers. read more

I have fallen in love with pizza all over again thanks to Big City Pizza! This is what I remember pizza tasting like as a child. The flavors so bright and fresh, and the smell is just amazing!!! I don't know where they get their Italian sausage but it's absolutely mind blowingly tasty! They have a selection of crust types to choose from; "pan" is my favorite as it's the perfect crust to topping ratio. Their garlic knots and pretzel knots w/beer cheese are a great start to the meal. They also have some super tasty pasta options and you can grab a cannoli for a sweet ending. During Covid restrictions, simply pull into the parking lot and they'll bring your order out to you, or you could opt for delivery. Keep in mind they stay pretty busy so order early!!! read more

New player in town for pizza so why not give them a go. Price wise it was decent for it not being a huge chain. Ordered online with a special which was any style crust 1 topping with garlic knots for $12.99. I opted for the garlic dipping sauce as well to put it up against the bigger players but they forgot to put it in my order. Flavor wise it's better than papa johns in my opinion but when it comes to the garlic knots I didn't feel there was much garlic on there, more Parmesan than anything else. Delivery time was about 45 minutes but in today's current market that is expected. I would like to try out the calzone as well but if I do order again I will go in person so that I do not pay for something that I did not get. read more

This place is awesome. They are currently not allowing anyone inside the restaurant. It is curb side or delivery only. You are able to call in an order or place an order online. If you've lived in Richmond or went to EKU in the 2000s, then you remember the pizza buffet Cici's Pizza in the old Richmond Mall. One of my favorites was the Mac n cheese pizza with spiral macaroni as the topping. Since Cici's closed, I've went without. Until Big City Pizza came to Richmond. They offer a 3-cheese mac n cheese pizza. And I'm in love. They have a lot of other choices in pizza and different foods. But when a business just opens up and has to stop taking online and phone orders just because they can't keep up with all the business, it tells you they're doing something right. That's New York style pizza and I'm the mayor of New York City. That was a joke. I would say maybe 1 step above Pizza Hut. Maybe. Has anyone in this company even ever had New York style pizza ?
