Friendly Liquor Store =Not friendly at all!…read more I wanted to put this out there because I know there are plenty of people who want to be treated with respect when going into a store to purchase gas or even beverages/food. I just got back from the worst convenient store experience of my life at Friendly Liquor Store. I had just bought gas at the pump & went inside to buy fountain sodas. As I went to fill up the soda I could tell it was out of carbonation, so I tasted the soda & sure enough it tasted bad. I dumped it to get a different soda & the guy at the register started getting rude with me & came over to me to tell me there is nothing wrong with the soda. He even pressed it & fizz just poured out & he even then said nothing was wrong with it! He continued to argue with me, which I was astounded by how rude this man was to a customer so I argued right back with him that I have worked in food service & know when it's time to change the soda out. It was amazing how quickly he became quiet after I told him that. I have never been to this store but now I will never do business there ever again! I am just trying to save others from an awful experience like I had, & I paid for awful tasting sodas on top of that. I feel the public should be aware of local stores that cause issues to customers. (Giving it a 1 star is even being generous...I will spread the word that this store is awful.)

Unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed. The craft beer selection was a bunch of heavy-hitters like IPAs, hazies, and DIPAs. There wasn't much variety beyond that, no pilsners, lagers, sours, etc. I was also hoping to pick up gin and vermouth for martinis but the spirits were mostly a variety of whiskey and tequila. It feels very tailored to local preferences, which makes sense, but for visitors or those with different tastes, it doesn't offer much beyond the basics. In addition, although the cashier was friendly and made an effort to help, he didn't seem very knowledgeable in what he was selling. If I had to guess, I'd say he hasn't spent much time exploring breweries outside the area, or even within it. Overall, it's just another liquor store, nothing special.

To find out that the bimbo bread and Starbucks drinks were expired from two month ago. We are already in August and they still have July food and drinks for customers to buy. I try to see if only one Starbucks was expired but the whole Starbucks drink section was expired. If I am not the person that I am and check things before I buy, my kids would be eating the bread and I would be drinking expired items. They need to really care about their customers and be more conscious of what they are selling to us. Specially for the kids. The person behind the register stared blaming on the other employees saying, -"I can't do more job", as if he was doing already enough. To the surprise that he was just standing behind the register changing the music. He was friendly and nice by giving me a plastic bag but it can't stop me from thinking that him being nice to people, won't change how irresponsible they are but selling expired items to adults and kids. Makes me sad and angry that they only care about money.
