BevMo online order. Worst. Experience. Ever. First of all got bait and switched with a 'free shipping' offer that just, wasn't free. Then they 'tried to deliver' (I watched my front door camera, they didn't even ring the bell) but couldn't so I rescheduled for the next Tues. They show up Mon. (luckily I was home as saw the truck pull up), driver speaks zero English, luckily I dabble in Spanish so we muddled through how she needs my ID or DL. No problem, I pull up my DL from the CA DMV app and show her, she says "No good I need to scan." No problem, I flip over to the QR code so she can scan. Nope, doesn't work. Now I have her wait while I go find my actual DL so I can get this crappy liquor that I ordered three weeks ago. Never again BevMo, never again. I will no longer shop your store's or brand. read more

It's one of the two places I go to in Visalia. The staff is great and the app is helpful. The prices are quite a bit more expensive than Total Wine in Fresno for scotch, but it's close to home. If I'm looking for something immediately I'll go there. If I'm restocking I'll drive to Total Wine. read more

The service here is terrible and the staff need to get over their power trip. One of their employees made me show my ID for non-alcoholic purchases. I know most people don't shop here for this, but they have a GREAT selection of alcohol-removed wine. Whether you're pregnant or breastfeeding or just don't drink, this is awesome. Also, I was able to find it right away so it's not as hard to find stuff here as the other reviews make it seem. For those who do drink, they have an excellent selection. This Bevmo is much smaller than the one I am used to yet I still found it hard to locate anything in here. Decent service. The store was very clean. Prices of course, are on par with other Bevmos, I do find them to be reasonable. There was an area designated for snacks - meats and cheeses in the fridge area and then there are shelves with nuts, chocolate bars. There are some unique gift items here to be found and some glassware items. I did not find what I went in looking for but there were many items re substitution. read more

I'm from Bakersfield, California, where we don't have a BevMo. I am well accustomed to a crappy selection of specialty liquors. Every chance I get I stop at a BevMo to load up on exotic finds or just to take advantage of the low prices. I was staying with a friend in Visalia and didn't want to show up empty handed. I stopped in here to pick up a bottle of Malibu rum (one of her favorites) and pineapple juice to serve as a mixer. The cashier was friendly and we joked when I couldn't find my BevMo card and had to enter my phone number about the lack of a BevMo in Bako. Cashier charged me regular price on all of them and as I checked the receipt and asked he then said they have to be the same flavor/brand... why didn't the cashier offer than when he was ringing me up. Like Janna, I also did not locate what I was looking for. I felt the need to review since this is the second time out of the last 3 trips I could not locate simple beverages. And all I get in response is a matter-of-factly, "oh well," attitude from the staff. You can pick from 300 beers you never heard of, but good luck trying to get cherry 7up, or fruit punch, simple stuff. I can't believe this big corporate store survives pushing itself of as a "beverage" store. Thumbs down. read more

My husband and I love coming to Bevmo, we call it the candy store. This is the place to come to if you want good deals on wines and liquors. We especially love the buy a bottle of wine at regular price and get the other bottle for 5 cents deals. It doesn't get any better. And sometimes on top of that they also offer an additional percent off. Love our candy store. read more

Been ordering premium wine and liquor from BevMo.com for several years, and have been to the Fresno and SLO location, as well as several locations in the OC, this is the smallest of all those stores. This is the only place in town to really get premium spirits at a decent price. No, these are NOT Costco type prices...but a million miles cheaper than Franks Liquor. If you are a "home bartender", BevMo is your store with everything you will ever need or want to throw a party or keep plenty of top shelf bottles for yourself. Do yourself a favor, sign up for their free rewards card, get a shopping cart, fill it with booze, and enjoy responsibly. Don't come here looking for the best price of mass produced beer (Corona, Blue Moon, Shock Top, etc), as another writer did; but come here for the hard to find and premium liquors. Had a great experience here the employees are very friendly especially Otis and Sal, had a good conversation with both when I was getting specific items. They were super friendly and nothing was forced they actually carried on conversations not small talk, actual Conversations. They don't have every single item I was looking for but it is region specific so if they can't get it most Other people cannot get it either. It was busy but all the employees were able to help to move the line and it slowed down after that small rush. It was very nice to go in there and talk to the guys they were very helpful and I will go back to see what new items they might get. I'll be back soon thanks for the warm welcome. I have been to a few BevMo's and was really shocked to see it close to the 24-hr Wal-Mart on Mooney. I usually go to BevMo for the hard to get beer, wine, spirits, or caffeinated drinks depending on season or mood. Today it was for the caffeinated drinks. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was small if not tiny selection (compared to previous BevMo's I've been too, so 15 or so)!! The liquor is shelved in the lighted, glass cases were a nice touch, but were smaller than the usual shelves I see at most BevMo's. The sodas were located here, but the supply is nearly a quarter of what a typical BevMo would carry. The beer and wine selection were decent, and I noticed the usual snacks, cheeses, cigars, etc. that is located in most BevMo's. I would call this a BevMo lite than anything else. On a side note, I bought sodas and got carded for it. If you are there for snacks or sodas, have your ID on you (yeah, I can see real progress with this store...). Those who are still interested might want to try the grand opening tastings that last for most of the day (or till the supply runs out) on Oct. 26-28. My advice to the manager over there: Not smart to put the same soft drinks on stock, while located in front of a 24-hr Wal-Mart and expect to make a sale (you need to differentiate yourself from the competition if you plan to make a profit). You also have a World Market a block over that have a smaller selection, but if you have all of the same stuff on hand then you might as well ask for a price war. To people who are curious, yeah I have a business degree and experience to realize the faults at first glance. People will pay premium for stuff that they can't easily get their hands on (unless they want to make a trip to Fresno). read more

If you want horrible customer service so see Sal at Bevmo! He will make sure you receive it! First they had my gin incorrectly marked and not honored it! Then as a new club member he tried to take my phone out of my hand so he could see the club member number clearly when I try to show him my club member number...this is find super rude!! Then when I tried paying he gave a sassy reply which is fine clerks are jerks! But he needs to remember a credit card won't break like my phone will!! If he drops it.:. I don't know why I keep giving them my business because they are consistently out of stock on what I want and their cold beer section is pathetic for a store that size. I'm instantly irritated the minute I walk through their doors. The staff is unfriendly and uneducated in the products they sell. They are never willing to take the extra steps to serve the customers. I happened to be in Visalia for the weekend. My brother likes the bourbon Old Yeller Antique. It's hard to find in the Bay Area now and most Bevmos in my area don't have it anymore. Amazing! What we spent $60 on just to have a foreign drink sent to us, we were able to find it here for only $18! Very organized, very clean, and not a ghetto liquor store. We had been locating something "similar" to this drink (a Caribbean Rum), but had to go to the depths of the ghetto where you literally have to say a Hail Mary and hope you're not mugged while going to your car. For our daughters wedding we were hosting the bar. We purchased all the wine and 2 kegs from them. One of the kegs was defective, nothing the bartender did would work. We lost 30% of our beer. When we requested a partial refund they offered us a 25$ gift card. Refused to call bartender who does plenty of business with them to verify my story. Told us it was our fault that this never happens. The manger was rude and short. After spending 800+ dollars with them I would think they would be more accommodating. I know my wife just finished a review but felt I need to write one as well. When your daughter is getting married, you want all the preparation done before hand. If you prepare, the day of will be as perfect as can be. BEVMO, a chain, failed us. When I went to pick up the keg, the young lady brought it out and let it slam as she lowerd it on the dolly. We all noticed it. This was a bit before two and the reception started at a bit after four so I knew time would go by to give the keg time to settle from the impact. I was wrong. When I went to check on the bar to make sure the bartender had everything they needed, I noticed there was a pitcher with beer in it. Turned out the batender had to keep filling the pitcher to let the beer foam settle as it was nothing but foam when she drew it from our brand new jockey box. Everything was adjusted correctly by the company at delivery of the jockey box. So what happened when we complained to BEVMO? They didn't offer us even a partial refund. Instead, they offered us a $25 gift card. Mind you, we have charity events all the time. Not only did they lose us as customers, but the charity we run when have events. Keep your $25. We will just go to Frank's liquor located at 416 N Willis St, Visalia like we should have in the first place. They care about their customers and love repeat bilusiness. Oh, and by the way, it was empty because even though she lost about 30 percent of the beer, our guests still drank the flat beer. read more

Went in to buy cheap cigars. Always buy them and take them to register. Manager there opened up case and said she would take them to register. There were the cheapest cigars and she told me she would take them up front. I sure if I was Caucasian as she was she would allowed me to take them up front as other minority staff had done in the past. I can understand if they were each over $10 or over cigars but these were $3 cigars. This was at 11:30 am in the morning. Went in again and same manager did the same thing. Today I went to Bevmo on mooney for my first and last time. I went for beer preferably craft beer but did check out ALL prices. Single bottles are more than $1-$2 dollars more than other local stores. 6 and 12 packs were a minimum of $5 more than local stores. $17 for corona 12pk $11.99 at walgreens.$14 for shock top and blue moon...$11 at winco. Rogue beers are over $1 more for a single bottle at winco and world market. I walked the store twice looking at prices and not one beat our local stores and in the process walked by several employees who didn't even so much as make eye contact with me! If you're looking for liquor go to costco or winco, if you're looking for beer go to walgreens, winco, or even world market is cheaper. Never going to bevmo again! I was all excited for nothing!!!! Only good thing is that they have a huge selection and if I ever have to go there again its only because I searched every store in town and couldn't find what I needed and that won't happen! Love BevMo and the selection of drinks available there that fits everyone's taste. I can stock up to satisfy everyone that shows up at my door even if they don't drink alcohol. Hit and miss on the customer service, I will say that it looks like they got rid of the ultra rude little Asian girl who used to check out. I went in to buy ginger beer (yes, NON ALCOHOLIC ginger beer!) and she demanded at my protest to see my drivers license, pulled from my wallet, handed to here then dropped on the counter for me to pick it up. Now I've put a lot of hard work into my temper from my USMC days but I was wondering how much trouble it would be to find a rough homeless gal to come back and kick her a$$. Too far? Probably.....and cigars. Don't sell cigars if your not going to properly keep them in a true humid environment and occasionally roll them 180 degree's. Although it is pretty cool you sell them. As far as booze, its ok. Good Vodka selection....still not impressed with your so called infamous enormous beer selection. Sorry but cherry-wheat-apple beer is not beer. Its crap read more
