Today, we travelled to Denver for a day hike. We came across Big Daddy Bagels. We were greeted by the friendly lady taking orders. The music is pleasant and soft. Plenty of seating but not the most comfortable, but adequate. I got the sausage/egg sandwich on an everything bagel. It comes with hot sauce. My wife and step daughter got an Asiago bagel with cream cheese and my step daughter got the everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagels are big, and there was plenty of egg and sausage on mine. The faint taste of garlic was delicious with the hot sauce and everything bagel. Her Asiago bagel was good but it was insane how much cream cheese they put on the bagel. It was like half a tub! Overall the bagels were very good and def worth trying! The staff is very friendly so come on by! read more

Pretty good. Been here twice because I like to have some carbs before going for a hike. This place is pretty busy in the morning. I give it 4 stars because it's a solid place and I like their variety in bagels and spreads. Their lattes are pretty good to. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful and I think this is a good place to stop in. Get the onion bagel with scallion cream cheese. Nom! read more

Been coming here for 2plus years. Quality is not what it once was. Super disappointed in the customer care by the lady manager this morning when presented with our dissatisfaction today. service is always slow. over $8 for this baby BEC and they couldn't even fry the egg. Clearly the owners have never been to the northeast. Avoid this place, ripoff. And yes, that is a dime in the photo. I should've just gone to Dunkin' Donuts. read more

How come it took 8 employees almost 25 minutes to make three lox bagels? It was not busy and we had ordered online beforehand. Bagels are good, but it was frustrating to see newer orders prioritized before ours. Maybe y'all were just having a bad communication day, but I'd like to see some more hustle. read more

I liked the vibe. It's a cute, tucked away spot playing 90's alternative rock and the folks behind the counter were friendly, even when working on a holiday. Kudos there! But I was underwhelmed by the food. Egg and bacon on a bagel is ~$8 and neither the egg nor the bagel were fluffy or flavorful. (The bagels are oddly kind of flat and not chewy like NYC bagels.) The sandwich was dry, the eggs overcooked and underseasoned, and there needed to be more of both the eggs and bacon. My partner got a wrap and was similarly underwhelmed. I don't think the food justifies the prices. read more

The confusing line is made up by the fantastic and patient service. We just so happened on a huge crowd of over 30 teens coming from an event or something. They were huddled around all the tables and I was standing in the "pick up" line for about 10 minutes. I finally got to the front but apparently I had to stand in a different line to order. I understand there's a process, but I wish there was clearer signage because it felt like a waste of time. Once we got into the correct line, the whole process was super easy and every staff member was very nice. They had a lot of options and our order came out quickly despite the crowd. It's a little out of the way, but we were visiting Golden and felt this was a great option away from all the touristy cafes. Next time I gotta try the pizza! read more

I love this place for the convenience of being able to order online, though there's plenty of seating inside the bagel shop. There's somehow always parking in the small lot out front, as people are constantly coming and going. They're always so busy here! I'm impressed by their operation, honestly, and any wrong orders will always be happily corrected. I've had a few basic bagels with schmear that haven't disappointed. Need to try some of the savory options and beverages. My partner introduced me to this place because it's a fun, occasional tradition for the kids with lots of menu options. Definitely come support this local business, or at least browse and order from their extensive online menu. read more

Best bagel we've had in Colorado. We both got Parmesan bagels with scallion cream cheese. Incredible! Our skeptical 3 year old got a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and ate way more of it than we expected. Iced lattes are also good and fairly priced. Service is a little slow because it's real food and real coffee, quite busy on a Saturday morning which is fair. Lots of outside seating that is dog friendly. read more

Consistently painfully slow service. I ordered 4 bagels in advance and waited 40 minutes and after asking multiple times to get status on my order, finally someone acknowledged that they lost track of my order. I asked for my money back because I did not want to wait anymore and they didn't even offer to try to make it right. I have given this place too many chances and always end up extremely frustrated with what seems like 10 people working behind the counter producing 1 order every several minutes. This place would be out of business in 10 minutes if they were on a corner in NYC. I'm done. Never again. read more

I don't go to this location very much, especially since they opened the Lakewood store nearby my home. I have gotten an egg and avocado breakfast sandwich here once, which was perfectly sized to have half before and after a late fall hike. Like I mentioned in my Lakewood location review, the plain dough-based bagels (plain, parmesan, everything, etc.) have had a nice fresh, perfectly moist inside with just the right amount of elastic "pop" from the outside and actually have actual good flavor from the dough. This location can get busy and the seating feels a little... exposed (?) since there's people standing around near the tables waiting where the food comes out. For some reason, it's uncomfortable to me when places have big open layouts like this. (Not sure how much they could do but maybe add some pony walls with partitions or something to break up the space?) read more

I order bagels from this place a lot. The screw up the order A LOT, probably close to half the time. The latest screw up I got a sausage bacon egg and cheese breakfast bagel. Got home. No egg on it. Go back to shop for a remake. It takes them forever. Get home. Remake is missing the bacon. Whole ordeal wasted an hour of my day. Not cheap food either! read more

Big Daddy got some good bagels! I got the poppy seed bagel with the lox cream cheese - got a good serving of cream on a toasted bread! The customer service is amazing at this place - my friend got the wrong order so he got a second round for free. Not a lot of indoor seating but a nice day outside would make for a nice meal. read more

I have been going to Big Daddy for years, but in recent months, the service has gotten really bad. Very slow and 1 in about every 3 to 4 orders they get something wrong. Today, I ordered a PB&J bagel and got a bagel with a little PB and a little cream cheese - no jelly. I went back and they immediately offered to get me the right order. However, the person who helped me then worked on several other orders before correcting mine. After almost 10 minutes, I asked again, and it took about 5 more minutes to get my corrected order. If you need to fix an order for a customer, seems like you should prioritize that and not make them wait while other orders are being filled. read more

This was not what I wanted this morning but I'm so glad I ended up here, the egg cheese and ham bagel was amazing! I opted to get it to go but while I was ordering inside both ladies at the counter were super sweet and helpful they made the process very easy. Big Daddy.. what happened last Monday? We stopped in on our way to hit the Rocky Mountains because we needed some fuel. It took a few minutes for us to order with no one ahead of us which was fine. I ordered cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese and my partner ordered cheese bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. We then waited around 20 minutes for these two things. Now I know people order online but there were only a few people in the space so this wait felt very long. Plus it's just a bagel And cream cheese and we had places to be. Well we finally get our order and my partner's bagel came out with tomato sauce stuff on it. It was a very intense amount even if that was what she ordered. Maybe this is a sundried tomato spread or something, but if you don't have sundried tomato cream cheese, why put it under the list of cream cheese flavors? After waiting so long for such a simple order we were extremely disappointed big daddy. We didn't have time after waiting so long to go back and request another 20 minute remake. Another thing I saw was the cashier go from helping people pay on the touch screen to touching bagels with the same gloves. I'm absolutely terrified of unsanitary food so this was another big no for me. We love supporting local businesses but sad to say we've been going to Starbucks for quick breakfast since then. Pretty disappointed with this place. I've given it a few tries and today was the last time. Ordered two bagels with cream cheese and it took 15 minutes. I figured that was fine since there were a few people ahead of me, I asked for them toasted, and had additional toppings. Though when I got home, neither bagel was toasted and my topping was missing. Additionally, I had a coupon that was buy one get one free, and realized after that I was charged full price, not a huge deal, but just adding to the issues. Finally, the tip option was 20%-30% which is so high. The bagels are okay, but not worth the trouble read more

Big Daddy Bagels is one of my local faves! I always opt for an Egg & Cheese Bagel w/ hot sauce on a jalapeño bagel. Their bagels are made fresh daily and it shows! FYI, they can get pretty busy in the mornings as it's a popular place for people to stop in before work or on their way up to the mountains. Our go-to for both pizza and bagels! The pizza is excellent and well-priced. NY style done right; our family gets excited whenever we dine in or take out (we're local and probably eat here twice a month). Bagels are also great! Lots of flavor options, multiple cream cheese spreads (including seasonal ones). We love it! Service is excellent! Staff is friendly, attentive to specifics in our orders, and has our food and a place setting ready when we call head for dine-in. Walked into a very clean, friendly environment greeted by both employees asking if I had any questions ! We arrived in the afternoon to receive the most crunchy delicious excellent pizza we've ever eaten in Colorado! The eggplant fries are different but quite yummy. I cannot remember the pizzas we got but they were very tasty. The whipped cheese on top was so delicious. You will definitely leave filling very full and we had extras. One pizza would be enough to feed 2. We ordered too much so brought it home for leftovers.

The service was great, she gave us her recommendations and was very very patient while we all decided what plates to share. They give you some small plain bread knots when you sit down and had no problem, giving us a refill, even a side of marinara sauce for dipping when we asked. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and delicious lightly, garnished with the balsamic glaze that sets the flavor off, not too overpowering. We shared three different pastas - the penne rustica, the shrimp and artichoke, and the pesto tortellini. The rustica was definitely the best, it had such a depth of flavor, and the sauce was a perfect rosé of creamy tomato, with the vegetables helping set off the textures and flavors even more. The other two pastas were good, but I wouldn't prioritize ordering them again, the pesto tortellini was so rich and creamy, but lacked any pesto flavor, which was surprising since it was vivid and green, and so visually appealing. The shrimp and artichoke was good, but didn't allow me, I felt like the artichoke needed more seasoning or something to bring it out a little in the sauce and pasta mix. The owner Nancy was such a sweetheart. She was so attentive and came over to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time I'll be trying the Bolognese :)
