Every time I pass by, there's a line out the door so I got here at a good time where there wasn't a huge line and I took advantage of it. I ordered the Lox and it's a really good bagel. They put quite a bit of salmon into the bagel but the cream cheese ratio was quite nice so there's a good bite of everything each time. But I also like that it's not too packed so I can still eat in one bite. Overall, if you're in the area or coming from post workout at Sloan's, it's a great post fuel meal. Parking can be tricky. Don't park in the parking lot because Conu's Corner does pay for it and the other businesses do not which is only fair. Consistency has gotten worse over the past year or so. I go fairly regularly and it's just not as good as it used to be. They used to not take online orders on the weekends to serve in-store customers and now that they've stopped that it's been too busy on the weekends. I've never seen so much flavor packed onto a bagel and I'm a fan. The bagel had that great bagel chew too. I was hoping for more from the egg and sausage though. I don't like to leave negative reviews of small businesses but I definitely did not have a good experience here. When I arrived at 12, they only had one type of bagel remaining which was weird because they are open until 2. It took a long time for them to complete my order. I wanted to buy a gift card and both of the people working in the front had no idea how to purchase one. So they had to find someone else to be able to process it in the register. Then despite ordering just a bagel and cream cheese it took forever! The pace of service was soooooo slow. There seemed to be no hurry despite the long line. Then despite only having a few bagels left, people continued to line up. It wasn't until a while later that they posted a sign that they were out of bagels but by that time people had been waiting in line for a while. I got my bagel and it was ok but definitely not worth the wait. What really is disappointing is that my friend who I bought the gift card tried to use the card today and they said it was inactive. Just looking in the display case, you see bagels that are well browned and some that aren't close to getting any color. There is usually a line out the door, but it seems to be more of an issue with how small their prep area is, being backed up with online orders and overall disorganization? On numerous visits, the display case will be half empty and the speed rack is right behind the register, waiting for the bagels to cool and put into the display case. What this place does well on is value. Yes there are other bagel shops, Yes some of those places have better bagels, but factoring in the price, are those other bagels 40%-70% better than Leroy's? As we continued the theme of trying bagel shops while visiting Denver for the weekend, we stopped by Leroy's for a brekkie sandwich. When we arrived, the line wasn't too long but started getting lengthy soon thereafter. We shared a bagel sandwich with avo, tomato, bacon, alfa alfa sprouts, and cucumber on an asiago cheese bagel. There are a few seats available indoors and during the summer, there is a patio outside that you can sit in. There isn't a whole lot of parking available, just some street. Came here after a morning workout at Sloan Lake right down the street. I found parking in front of the building. Super long line that moved pretty slowly, but in my mind that means it's pretty good. Plus, I believe the specialty are the bagel sandwiches. It's a very small location so the line wrapped around all the indoor seats. Each bagel took around 8 - 10 minutes. I honestly didn't want to wait so I decided to grab a half a dozen bagels, side of creme cheese to take home. It all cost $15 dollar which was a pretty good deal and the bagels were delicious. I did take off a star because after waiting 30 minutes I didn't want to wait an additional ten for a sandwich. However, I plan on coming back hopefully when it's not so busy to give it a try. Also, the paper bag they gave me had a huge rip in it and when I grab it my bagels almost fell out. Leroy's is such a great neighborhood spot near Sloans Lake for bagels and coffee. I was fortunate to go several times while living in the area and loved having a bagel sandwich (either with an egg-based option or a classic lox combo) or simple bagel and cream cheese to start my day off on a great note. I personally particularly love the jalapeño cheddar bagel which comes with a nice layer of cheddar for a good crunch when toasted paired with the spice and value of jalapeños in the bagel itself. One thing to note is that service can be really slow here. I think that might be a product of wanting to have ingredients freshly made, but I often find that a line of a few people ends up being over a 15-20min wait, sometimes seeing gaps in time when nothing seems to be really going on in their kitchen for prep. Costumer service here is just not the best. No one greeted me when I walked in. I stood at the register and my presence was ignored, people who walked in behind me were helped prior to me.
