For all the reviews saying the ribs were burnt.. they aren't burnt, they are literally just fully cooked. I would give this place a million stars if i could. Stopped here on my way home from Idyllwild. I had been craving bbq for weeks so when I saw Big Daddy's and smelled the aroma of delicious BBQ I got excited! I had the #1 which was the pork ribs with Mac and cheese and potatoe salad. The ribs were everything I expected and more! Tender and meaty! The potatoe salad was very good but the mac & cheese wasn't so good. I should add that I'm not a fan of velveeta cheese but if you are, you might think differently of the mac and cheese. My boyfriend had the catfish, which was well seasoned and fried to perfection! The customer service was excellent! The young woman who helped us was courteous and friendly. I live in Orange County so I don't know when I'll be back but I'm not opposed to driving over an hour for great food and service! The people complaining about the portions probably SHOULD be watching their portions anyway! And it's normal to have small portions at a BBQ place. Apparently these people aren't very cultured. We got married April 14 2018 ( I know I'm horriable I should have reviewed sooner) but they catered my wedding and the food was perfect. They made everything past my expectations. They set everything up and took everything down and were so kind. They showed up on time even a little earlier and served all the food. The price was so reasonable and the cheapest around in prices. I literally called everywhere to compare prices. Honestly it was so good they were worth more then the price they charged but the owner knew we were on a budget and made it happen. To this day everyone still talks about how good our wedding food was. There were so much left over to that everyone was taking plates home. We had pull pork sandwiches, baked beans, colesaw, mac and cheese. This is one of the best business we have in town!!!! The best part of big daddy's is it's not a franchise it's a man who truley takes pride in his food. Very few places that make BOMB BBQ, i was in the area because my son had a football game (Fontana popwarner) Gators vs San Jacinto Sabers. After game son, daughter and I was starving. Saw this place and we decided to give them a chance. BOMB, best word i can use to describe their food. We got the FAMILY BAM meal everything we got was delicious. Finally a good BBQ spot in the valley! I love BBQ and used to have it all the time when I lived in South Los Angeles. We tried the pork ribs,beef ribs ,and bbq brisket sandwich. They were all very good with that smoked flavor I love.Brisket was thick and tender but a bit fatty which I don't mind because for the flavor but some people may like it a bit leaner.The bbq beans we're on point but the potato salad was just ok in my opinion. Now about big daddy's BBQ the food was A grade it really hit the spot I had the 2 pork rib combo with potato salad and fries. When this place first open, I really enjoyed the ribs. However, lately the ribs do not taste the same it seems now they boil their ribs, then put them on the grill to finish. I have spoken to a young lady about this, and she said they don't boil their ribs. However, I am a southern man, and it does not taste like good grill ribs. Great BBQ, i was kind of surprised with some of the reviews. Used groupon and got the family meal for $40. Not bad if you use the Groupon. Everything was excellent, good sauce. The brisket was overcooked but that would be the only problem we saw. Would recommend you give them a try. read more

Unfortunately my pellet smoker broke down on this 4th of July. I already promised my wife smoked ribs but what can I do? So decided to buy bbq ribs at Big Daddy's. What a mistake. I could have done better bbq on my fire pit. Decided to try out the Beef and pork spare ribs. Both were OVERLY done to the point that it was like eating charcoal. Yeah ok, the sauce admittedly is good. Just a shame that they haven't learned to cook better food. I will never return to this joint. It's an insult to the trade. I've been here 4 times and every time it was different. First time I went they had only been open for less than a month, and it was great, but the quality has dropped dramatically since. The beans used to have shredded brisket in them, now they're made with ground beef. Tonight I had the worst experience I've ever had. A few minutes after ordering the brisket (3/4 of our whole order) we were informed the brisket was 'a little tough' but they could sell it to us anyways. My gut said to leave but everyone was looking forward to having bbq so we said it was fine. I was expecting the shredded brisket to be a little more chewy than usual, but instead we were served 2-3 impossible to bite through steak slices per sandwich. Completely dry, didn't even taste smoked. It is unacceptable to serve a brisket sandwich that tough, especially for $15 a plate. I will not be returning. read more

Saw Big Daddy's reviewed in the Press-Enterprise on Friday and decided to try it. It was very good!! I got the ribs and they were tender and practically fell off the bone. Husband got the Brisket sandwich which he also enjoyed. We both got beans (yum), I got the potato salad and he got cole slaw. We traded half and half when we got home. Damn!!!! we ordered the Philly Cheese sandwich and even though it was skimpy you could taste OLD OIL for some reason. Super disappointing. Not only was the pricing pretty high but the food wasn't even worth the damn near $100 we spent. The ribs were dry and not cooked thoroughly! On top of that the cornbread was dry as well! Nothing special about the macaroni either. The only reason I'm even giving this place ONE star is for the simple fact that the brisket was the only thing worth purchasing here.
