Things seemed great until the car wash damaged my truck. After many good visits to this car wash the LAST time I went there their wash ripped the mirror off my truck and damaged my hood. Manager refused to turn my claim into their insurance, he said their is nothing wrong with the was and had no explanation as to why it happened, blamed it on my 3 year old truck. Big Dans is the best purchase my wife and I have made since we've moved to Tarpon. This is the best car wash you're going to find on US-19 from here to St. Pete based on value for your money. You get the wash and gas combo, which is extremely convenient. The atmosphere here is incredible and all of the staff members are extremely attentive to who needs fresh towels, help fixing vacuum hoses, etc. Our favorite staff members are B and M'Liss though we enjoy everyone here. The only thing that seemingly will become more frustrating is that their prices continue to increase, pretty high, however, understandable that we were a day 1 opening customer that they need to get money from people. I went to The car wash in Tarpon Springs, Fl for the first time and was asked by the attendant if I wanted a membership and I said no I just want a one time car wash. I noticed On my bank statement that they changed me a recurring charge for 3 months. I called the office and ask why I was being charges and they explained that I was charged a promotional 90 day membership. I explained that I did NOT signup for a membership and wanted a refund. They said someone would-call me back and they never did. After weeks of calling, I finally had the manager at the tarpon springs location return my call . He advised that his system was only able to refund one of the payments and he could give me some free car washes. I was happy but agreed to it. even though i had no intention of going back. I went for my first time and I am unluckily to go again. I paid $25 for their DYNAMIC CERAMIC wash. My car came out of the wash with an excessive amount of dirt still on my car. I had dirt on the front but it's very clear the wash is not good on the back of the car.(see pictures) vaccine are not the strongest and was unable to pick up what has been come standard at all of these car washes. You do get glass and interior cleaner included along with towels. I ended up having to use the cleaner and towels to remove dirt from car. This was a bit much for a mediocre machine wash for $25. read more

If you have a nice car avoid this place at all costs. I took my Mercedes S430 through the wash and it damaged my left side mirror. It was tucked in and not extended. When I pointed out the damage to the manager I was informed they don't cover mirror damage but he was willing to do a report. I told him it wasn't necessary because I knew it would go nowhere. I went for a SINGLE car wash and the gentleman placed me into membership that I never asked for. I never came back. But I got charged for a membership.I called them and explain the issue to the worst customer service manager they got going on in this place. Her name is Tarnisha (sorry if I spelled your name wrong)She told me that she can't refund my money because this happen a month ago! If I wanted to be placed in a membership I would be going to get a car wash every single day. Common sense. She refused to give me back my refund and sound very arrogant went she said it. This is a newer self-service drive through car wash that offers discounted gas prices for its customers. You can NOT just get gas here without getting a car wash. That's not how it works. We found out when we stopped by for the first time today. First, we had seen this place on our daily drive along US19 (it's located on the west side of the road; so you have to be headed south bound on US19 to access this place). Upon entering the driveway there are ropes closing off immediate access to the gas pumps, and the ropes lead you to turn right following the perimeter of the lot; wherein you drive up to three carwash kiosks. When we arrived, there are 2 attendants present. The gentleman whom we approached didn't explain much, and clearly seems irritated at the questions I had about how this process works; he tossed a price pamphlet into my car and didn't even apologize about almost smacking me in the face with the pamphlet. He simply told me to look over the pamphlet and go inside if I still had questions. Aside from him, the next attendant was friendly, and guided our car onto the track. The car wash experience was pretty cool. It seems the tunnel is fitted with various colored LED track lights which my little ones loved since it made the soap bubble and water change colors all around us. (See photos attached). There are complimentary vacuum and microfiber cloths provided. This area is kept pretty clean (again, this is a new car wash location). There is a rubber floor mat wash basin available. After you drive around the vacuum area, you get to the gas pump area. The gas price is discounted by approximately 10 cents a gallon for the car Wash customers. Again, you can't just drive into the lot to get gas-you need to wash your car first. Right now as part of their grand opening, they are offering complimentary car washes so you really only pay for your gas if you need to fill up. When you get the chance to read the pamphlet, you'll see they offer various wash packages and monthly discounts. Conclusion: great for someone who wants to get a car wash and fill up at one convenient location, but not so great for anyone who wants higher than 92 octane rated gasoline (provided by citgo) or if you're in a hurry and just need gas. read more

We weren't sure we wanted to ad a monthly car wash plan to our already stretched, fixed income budget, but thought we'd give it a try to see if it worked for us. So far, we have really benefited from it (with the exception of one month where we could only get our car washed two times - which didn't actually pay for the monthly charge.) We love that we can turn the corner after getting our car washed and have all the cleaning amenities at our finger tips (microfiber cloths, vacuum, cleaning sprays, etc.). It makes the whole experience efficient and easy. Definitely worth the membership. Last, but not least... any time I've needed to talk to customer service on the phone, or in person, I've always had a pleasant experience. That's tough to find these days. read more

I was a customer of Big Dans Tarpon Springs for many months and was happy with the car wash itself. As for billing I trusted them and found that was the absolute wrong thing to do. I cancelled my account with them on Feb 16 because the price was going up to 24 and I went to a competitor at 17. I hadn't ever checked my bank statement which is my fault. I recently checked and found although I cancelled they were still charging me the past 3 months. Not only did I find that out but went back almost a year and found they were charging me 42.79 every month when I signed up for the 17. Again my fault for not checking. Their answers were they have know idea why this happened, and no offer to fix it or reimburse. . Big Dans took at least $ 250 extra off me dishonestly. I hope they are proud. I have been with Jollo down 19 a little and they are much more honest and cheaper at the advertised price. read more
