Move Yourself, if able... Inaccurate "estimations". I was quoted for a 2-4 person crew to move a 2 bedroom apartment to a house at $150/ hour plus truck fees and mileage . The move was estimated to take 2 hours and a total of $475. I accounted/expected for double the moving time. Apparently this information is completely false. 2 movers arrived, the job took them 9 hours to complete and of course I was charged in excess of $2000 when the truck charge is included. When I called to dispute the charges. I was told they have no idea how many movers would be needed...is that not what the quote process was? You were informed it was a 2 BR apartment needing moved, you're a moving company, plan accordingly for the job and send the correct crew. When I broached this topic I was told a crew of 4 would have cost $300/hour, I again called back on my quote which did not include this information. At the end of the day, This is nothing but a scam. Do not entrust these people with your move. It's a classic scheme of moving slow to increase billable hours. Don't respond to them if they inquire about moving your things. The crew themselves were complicit, taking their time moving and making multiple trips to achieve the compete move. Sloppy with boxes and disregarding property. Chipped paint on an interior wall moving a sofa thru the hallway. Terrible service overall. Would never recommend. Follow-Up: I paid and tipped you for services rendered, it was a long hot day and I was raised to treat people the right way, which is why we offered you refreshments and food throughout the day. I am a man of my word and I pay for services that are performed. My issue remains that the quote/estimate were incorrect. I was quoted for 2 hours for a team of 2-4 movers @ $150 an hour. What came was the minimum of 2 and then you guys took take 5X the time with multiple trips needed back and forth (in theory the move should have taken no longer than double what was proposed/estimated). The pertinent information about the move was provided by my end. You quoted an estimate using those details, it's on your internal processing to determine the crew size/truck size/time estimate. My purchasing decision was based on that quote/estimated price. On the quote there was no mention of any upcharges for additional crew, there in lies another issue. You've been paid, I understand the charges, you need to understand my issue with your company and that process. The additional charges dropped were for "Step-Charges", you used no steps, only the elevator and a hallway. My total was still $1700, which is 3.5X what I was quoted. I reiterate, do not trust your move to this company, they are predatory and will only upcharge you and move extremely slow/tell you they need multiple trips to achieve a straight forward move. read more

By far the worst moving experience I've ever had, not responsive whatsoever, showed up an hour plus earlier than I had set (they even called to ask if an early arrival was okay and I calmly explained that it was not), and mounted a tv 7 feet high in worst section of a living room wall. It almost seemed intentional. I implore you to not do business with this company. UPDATE: This is not Morgan, but an angry close friend. Please refer to the passive aggressive reply to my review below by the business owner, every single exchange they quote is taken completely out of context to make them look better in this situation. It is incredibly unprofessional and I honestly have no clue what they are trying to achieve by agitating unhappy customers with this kind of reply. I'm actually searching for movers to haul away my old furniture to make room for new furniture. Reading the responses to unhappy customer comment is enough to make me pass this company by. The sarcasm and the passive aggressive language essentially pointing blame right back at the customer is something I've never seen happen before. You all need to work on your professionalism and be able to not take customers' comments as personal attacks, but as their impressions of the quality of service you provided. Perhaps some sensitivity training would help, but with these knee-jerk attacks back on customers will drive you out of business. read more

Use this company to move from one side of Grove City to the other. We went with this company because they seemed like a fair price but sometimes you get what you paid for and this was one of those instances. Ultimately it would have been the same price as other more well known movers because of how they packed the truck which led to more trips/more time. The kicker is that we just found out the screws of our daughters crib were completely stripped and the instructions and all the hardware which we had attached are gone. I should have known when they showed up to the house we're moving to and not the one we're moving from even though I specifically stated this is the house we are moving to and this is the house we need you at. read more

It took them 7 hours to move out a 900 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment and into 3 bedroom ranch. They just piled up boxes in the living room and one of the bedrooms despite what they were labeled. I was lured in by a reasonable quote but got charged nearly three times that amount. Take my advise and hire a reputable and professional moving company that cares about doing a good job. Overall we had a great move with Big Deal Moverz. I selected them from their positive reviews and competitive moving rates. Their rates were competitive on the movers, the truck and supplies in comparison to other companies with way-higher rates. Misty, our moving coordinator, was responsive and helpful in providing moving tips to help keep our costs down, getting scheduled, following up on questions and calling to confirm our appointment. Our movers were great - two of the three were experienced, strong movers with good truck-packing and organization skills. However one of the three needed a little more experience. I was relieved when they had no issues making a second truck trip (local move) because the truck was too small for all our stuff. They were hourly, but they did not make an ordeal of it. When everything was done we were completely moved in about under four hours and everything was finally done. Phew. What a day. I had a heavy item (large tool chest) that I needed moved down a flight of stairs into my basement and also needed help to lift and add the wheel casters given its weight. Overcharged, poor communication, and over all ridiculous service. My roommate moved out of our apartment in the Victorian village. I was supposed to be there at noon to help, however, the movers showed up at 10:45 am, which was earlier than the agreed upon start time. Big Time Moverz asked if it was okay to come early and she said no that she would let them know if anything changed. She never reached back out yet they still showed up early and billed her for a 10 am start time which is 45 minutes earlier than they actually arrived. Additionally, they quoted her at $600 and assured her it was on the higher end of the quote and it wouldn't be that much. They requested a $275 deposit that they told her would be returned on the receipt after the move. However, she was billed $600 at the end and they informed her that her "deposit" covered the cost of the truck rental and would not be returned. After all was said and done it was almost $1,000 with tipping the movers who did the heavy lifting. My roommate asked them to mount the television and was willing to pay for it. The supervisor mounted the television aligned with a 7 foot high door which is insane. They claimed they would return several days in a row to move the tv and made my roommate pay before they would come and remount it. The supervisor then called my roommate while I was there and was aggressively saying that he did a good job and she was wrong. All of this was 3 days later... all in all she was charged $300 above her quote and has dealt with aggressive workers and poor communication as the boss was in California at the time orchestrating everything from a 3 hour time difference. Absolutely do not recommend this company they will not reimburse her for the early start time charge or the tv that they mounted incorrectly. DO NOT BOOK!! As you can see in the comment below, the company does not understand the difference between pacific time and eastern standard time. If you are operating a company in the mid west, getting a call at 9:30 am eastern time, in California that is 6:00 am. And not the fault of someone who lives in Ohio. This was one of the main issues with communication. Additionally, I helped RE mount the tv that was done incorrectly and revealed TWELVE holes in the wall. There was clearly no stud finder used and now the holes have to be filled in. My roommate tipped the movers because they carried her belongings and she isn't a mean person but we are going to be sure to let everyone know what kind of business you run. BEST EVER!!! Due to a person not showing up for them, they had to come about an hour later which was no problem! I appreciated they called me to give notice of slight delay. They worked fast and efficiently and completed the loading on time. Maybe a few minutes over but didn't charge me. They only took one 5 min break and went beyond what I had hoped for, helping me even fitting in my washer and dryer which I had forgot about until near the end.
