Big Escape Rooms is a hidden gem off of Ralph McGill between Old Fourth Ward and downtown Atlanta. There are several options to choose from and they list the difficulty level with the escape rate. We decided to do Lady Alexandra. The instructions were clear. The puzzles were difficult but all made sense. We did need some clues to help us along though and it was easy to use the walkie talkie to request them. We had a full hour and could see the timer in the main room. Big escape rooms was super easy to book with online. You can clearly see puzzle descriptions, max number of people per room, price, difficulty, and pass rate on the website. I don't think many escape rooms include about how many people passed the room, but I'm not sure if they ever update it or if the numbers are accurate. Angelica introduced us to the room and setting! She was super kind~ We did the basketball one (rated at easy, 50% pass rate, up to 6 ppl in a room) as a warmup. If 6 people were in this small room, it would definitely feel claustrophobic. It wasn't too challenging or simple. The hardest thing was how to use the walkie talkie since it was my first time LOL. Angelica had to interventions and tell us to let go of the black button on the walkie talkie. We were a bit stumped with how some of the puzzles work because I never thought I could do this in particular to find clues. Some of the visuals and props could've needed some work like painting, antiqueness, and productional set up. But the room was pretty clear with what needed to be solved. Their wooden placards for escaping or failing the puzzle were mediocre though The person working when we ended took some not great pictures (and very crooked) but kind enough to retake . Another thing so I didn't like is that when we opened the final door to the actual room, the timer kept going. So we don't really know when we finished (or if we were even close to the leaderboard). I called and asked for a refund. 7 emails and 3 calls later. They never refunded despite promising one. Game Details: Me and my crew consisted of very seasoned players (30+ games) to escape room newbies (1 previous game before this one). We selected the Pharoh game and it definitely was on the harder side (displaying a 35% escape rate on the website). We escaped with about 8 minutes to spare. Production Value: 3/5 Production value was pretty solid. The visual props looked great and well maintained, but the props used for the actual gameplay were clearly worn (some chipped and broken). Most of the puzzles were also solving keylocks, digit-locks, and directional locks. There were a few places with custom RFID / NFC puzzle pieces, but they were just RFID chips glued to custom props. There are a lot of places for upgrades for technology and prop placement. I could also be getting a little old, but I definitely think that better lighting could have been much better in the initial room -AND- the introduction video was extremely quiet. Me and my party had to almost press our ears directly against the TV to hear the background of the story. Storyline: 3/5 The storyline was a good mix of adventure fantasy. The story definitely is not the most unique I have come across, but was intriguing and kept my attention for the entirety of the game. Execution/Gameplay: 2/5 My biggest complaint was that there were certain puzzles that were not intuitive -AND- had no setup within the background or props to point you in the right direction. Specifically, there was a light-based puzzle that had NO discussion of lights or light usage and that the light switch was close to the "do not touch items" like the thermostat, etc. My second largest complaint was that because of the flow of how the puzzles stacked on top of each other, we were bottlenecked with two of our party solving a single puzzle while the rest of us were twiddling our thumbs. As of December 11, 2024, I visited your website to book a game for the Lady Alexandria escape room, which was clearly advertised at a price of $33 per person. However, when I received a quote from your company, I was shocked to find that the price quoted was $39, a $6 difference per person. This discrepancy is misleading and unacceptable. Furthermore, when I attempted to seek clarification and address this issue, I was not provided with any contact information or a clear avenue to make a complaint. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is incredibly frustrating, and it undermines my confidence in your business. Big Escape Room is located in a fourth floor suite. There's no suite directory in the main lobby and no one was at the front desk when we arrived. There was free valet parking for escape room customers. The lobby for the suite itself isnt that big especially when you have several groups waiting. Personally the Big Escape room didn't quite live up to it's name as I've been to quite a few. This visit was for my niece's birthday weekend, so we decided on the Basketball game for our group of preteens. Our host was not very friendly or attentive. There were delayed responses when asked for clues so you could tell he wasn't really paying attention to our game play, which he was supposed to be watching. Also his clues provided weren't actually helpful at all. Maybe it was the end of his shift and he was ready to go because there was a different guy who came to "break us out of the locker room' after we didn't make it out. This guy definitely had a better attitude and you could tell he actually knew what he was talking about when asked him to elaborate on the area we were stuck at. The room decor was okay, but sorta bootleg. I would liked to have seen actual JERSEYS hanging in the locker room and not sock shoppe tank tops. read more

While in ATL my wife booked us an escape room adventure!! Never having done one before, I thought this could be fun!!!! How about no. First off. The facility had no air conditioning. In Atlanta. During Summer. Draw your own conclusions. Parking...This was a complete and utter cluster. They are located in some type of tenement building we probably should not have gone into even during broad daylight. It was interesting we were allowed to take our phones in with us. More on this later. Upon entry into the room, we were greeted by a video that held clues to our escape. The only unfortunate part to this is the volume was so low, and the fans they had in the room due to the lack of air conditioning were so loud, it made it impossible to hear the video and apparent clues. Yay. This started off like a wet fart on a warm night. The clues. We spent about 15 minutes trying to open one of the major clues. There were supposed to be time clocks you used to decipher a combination. Apparently, the previous team had tampered with the clocks and they were not reset by the staff. So the clue was wrong and we never got the combination. Another clue expected you to use your cell phone. After they told us not to take pictures, videos, use our phones etc. We wasted a hint to figure out you should USE your phone. That's like telling a dog not to chase its tail, and then telling it to chase its tail. You just go in circles...literally. 2 Other clues were also wrong once the room was revealed to us. We spent a lot of money for 4 people to try and escape a room with wrong clues that was revealed to be in-escapable due to these oversights. I will say the staff was very nice. Good luck to those who try and solve a mystery with the wrong clues. You literally have to be clairvoyant to divine the solutions. Rock solid 1 star. read more

My booking of Lady Alexandria was a terrible experience. No one was there that Saturday morning, and no one ever showed up. What was supposed to be a fun outing with out-of-town family was a frustrating morning in the unfurnished lobby, waiting and calling. Customer service just asked for time to look into it and call back. They did not call back. When I called again they "assumed someone was there or on the way" then asked us to wait another 30-40 minutes. When I declined and asked for a refund he said I had to call back Monday. I did, but was told to send email instead - more effort on my part. I sent email, but got only vague information about refund processing. I still have not received a refund, or a response to any subsequent emails. I replied to a customer service feedback email, asking for help and a refund. They did not respond to the original email or the follow-up. read more

They promised to refund money because we didn't have the card with us, so we paid again trusting that they were telling the truth, but they have not put the money back. I have emailed they answered once and have gone ghost. Don't visit this place it is not worth the $426 that it cost us because they stole $213.46. My son enjoyed Pharaoh escape room with 10 others at his friend's birthday party. The game master was generous with clues, and even though they did not escape in an hour, they created fun memories! There is actually a laptop where you can watch the cameras in the room in the area. They did not require a parent in the room, likely because the kids were 13 years old. They did not honor the Yelp check in sticker, which was a bummer. The area of town is a little sketchy, so I would not wear anything flashy or drive a nice car to reduce being targeted for crime. This is where the old Atlanta Medical Center campus was, and it is on the fourth floor. When you enter the building, there is a front desk that checks IDs, which is reassuring. The elevators are old, reminds me of Haunted Mansion at Disney, so a little creepy, but I guess if you are doing an escape room, it fits the ambience! read more

Our company Holiday event was planned at Big Escape Rooms this year (2019). None of us had ever done one before and all of us had mentioned that we had wanted to try one. So we went in not really knowing what to expect, but we were booked in the Outbreak room also not realizing (as a group) that it was the hardest room possible. Mind you the group is a mix of Engineers, Project Managers, Financial Wizards, and Developers so we figured why not. Yeah this was a struggle. I gave it four stars instead of 3 because I would go back. This room made me feel pretty stupid lol. The only thing that made me feel smart at all was actually realizing that I remembered the elements on the Periodic Table from high school when we were in the first room! That was surprising to me! Anyway, it wasn't their fault that we were booked for the hardest room. It was tons of fun, but some of the "clues" weren't really helpful at all thus the star deduction. One example is that the code for one of the locks is written on a document on one of the walls. I can't really say which otherwise it would give it away for future goers, but there was absolutely nothing in the room that would lead a person to think that this could even possibly be it. The only thing I can think of now looking back, is that this particular code is something that common sense tells you to never make a password because it's too familiar to that person and someone would guess it. There was a puzzle in one of the rooms and there were pieces being found in drawers that had been locked. So that's where we kept looking for pieces. We thought we had found them all but then one of the clues we asked for, we find out that there's a hidden camouflaged piece somewhere in the room (they told us where in the room to look but I'm not putting that in the review to give it away as I've probably already said too much). Then there were things where on key pads where it said to press pound after entering the code, once you entered the code things would happen that were positive but pound wasn't needed at all. So the directions aren't actually accurate. The golf clubs....Do they assume people don't play golf? So why would we look for a map of the golf bag when people who play golf know how to organize clubs in a bag? There's apparently a map for the bag on how to put the clubs in there that leads to another clue. You also don't realize till the very end when they are explaining to you everything you missed, that stuff you had in your hands in the very first room or things you noticed in the very first room like dates or places... you will need in the very last room. I'd actually like to meet some of the people who passed this room on the first try who had never been before and shake their hand. Because this was super difficult. Make sure you work as a team though since that is the purpose of these games. :-) read more

10 out of 10 would NOT recommend! So many better escape games in the area. My family has traveled all around the country and we've been to MULTIPLE escape games, even the mom & pop ones and let me tell ya, this was 1000% the worst one I have ever done. Started off having to pay to park, which whatever it's downtown Atlanta. We arrive inside and the elevators broken, not their fault but having to walk up four flights of stairs with your older parents isn't starting it off great. We get to the fourth floor (finally) and nobody is at the front desk. We start filling out our waivers because we know that's something we need to do and finally somebody comes out. We go inside the room and literally almost EVERYTHING says not to touch it. All of the clues were confusing, the walkie talkie they gave us immediately died and the game master had to come in and give us a new one. We had to have our game masters come in multiple times because all of the machinery and "cool experiences" did not work. The final part to open the door would not work and the guy kept yelling at us to keep doing it and said we weren't doing it right when we were doing exactly as he told us to. The machine wasn't placed right and he had to come in and help us, for the fourth time. If you do decide to go, bring layers. First room was warm, second room was FREEZING cold. Overall, a really really bad experience. The website is SO deceiving. Not as nice as the website shows, and definitely not worth the money. My family is a firm believer in The Escape Game, and they have a location in Atlanta so go check them out instead. We've done every single game they have. read more

I played the museum and clown games here tonight. I found the themes really interesting. I really enjoyed the game guide and his role playing in the characters as well as the really well produced intro videos. Unfortunately these games feel a bit worn out. Some of the props and set pieces were falling apart making it a bit difficult to complete the puzzles. They are much more of an old school style, with a lot of locks and codes. The museum had a few more high tech moments, unfortunately they didn't feel as magical as they could have if there was just a bit more care to hide the sensors on the props. The puzzles were definitely challenging in both, but mostly in a "I've seen that in a puzzle book" way. If you like logic puzzles and brain teasers, Clown is your game. There was one really interesting puzzle in the museum that I hadn't seen before, unfortunately it wasn't reset properly so I didn't see it here either. It sounded like a super cool effect though. Overall I think puzzle people could really enjoy these games or enthusiasts looking for a game to remind them of what escape games used to be. read more

Big Escape Rooms is one of the newest escape room companies to open in Atlanta. It opened September 21, 2016 on the 4th floor of the 444 Highland mixed-use apartment/office building in Old Fourth Ward. It's sort of an odd location for an escape room business. One of my friends joked that finding the escape room was the real puzzle, not the escape room itself. 444 Highland is located in the same block as the Atlanta Medical Center at the corner of Highland and Boulevard. There's free parking in the lot out front. If you can't find parking there, you can street park for free on some nearby streets (I recommend Jackson). Our group of 8 successfully escaped the Clowned room on November 20, 2016 in 47 minutes 34 seconds (12:26 left on the clock). We were told by Big Escape Rooms co-owner Teja that the room had about a 35% success rate. She thought it was too high and had planned some changes to the room to make it more difficult. Those changes will have probably already been implemented by the time you read this. One of the other rooms, Outbreak, had only a 9% success rate. They also have a room called Pharaoh and perhaps more rooms on the way. Like other escape rooms, you have to fill out a waiver before you play a room at Big Escape Rooms. To save time, you can fill out a waiver ahead of time on their website at http://bigescaperooms.com/. The Clowned room is a creepy clown-themed escape room. It's the only one of its kind in metro Atlanta to my knowledge (at the time of writing this review). Are there live actors? Maybe... We had a mix of escape room veterans and newbies in our group. Generally, the vets felt a bit underwhelmed with Clowned while at least one of the newbies had a lot of fun. In the end, I enjoyed it, though I would rank Clowned among the least favorite rooms I've played (31 rooms to date). A couple reasons why: (1) I felt Clowned could have been a little bigger (ironically) with a few more puzzles to solve. We were yearning for a bit more out of the room. (2) There was a mechanical failure and some equipment which should have been hidden from us. We had to walkie-talkie for the clue. That was kind of a downer because if the equipment worked, it would've been cool and added to the room's atmosphere. Compared to other escape rooms around town, I thought the production quality and set design were average. You're hit with some pretty cool artwork when you first enter the room and the room does make use of some modern technology. The puzzles and reveals weren't anything I'd hadn't seen before, but I think first-timers would find them to be pretty neat. Specifically, while playing Clowned, I was immediately reminded of the same mechanics and/or puzzles found in rooms at Escape the Room, Mastermind, and Breakout. Like other escape rooms, there is a 60-minute time limit for each room and you get 3 clues. Don't be afraid to ask for help, but use your 3 clues wisely. Communicate with your team and be aware of your surroundings. Teja was our game master, watching over us via closed-circuit cameras and communicating via walkie-talkie. Whereas most game masters talk to players in a regular tone, I think Teja tried to add to the foreboding ambiance with an ominous tone to her voice. She was nice. She gave us instructions before the room began and took pictures of us inside and outside the room. She also gave us an electronic notepad to scribble down clues (not all escape rooms provide that). Big Escape Rooms is normally $28 per person per room, but our group purchased a Groupon deal ($125 for 8 people) which meant we spent only $15.63 per person. There located inside of a office building. They do have parking but make sure you tell the valet where your going so they DONT charge you. This location had very very detailed and fun rooms. There are more than one room, that's CONNECTED! When they say the levels are hard, THEY CAN GET VERY HARD!! I've done probably around 25-30 different escape rooms and I would have to say this was probably my worst experience. To start, this game is in a building that requires payment for parking and visitor sign in. We did a walk-in sign up because the website wouldn't allow us to book for just two and that process alone took around 45 mins. Once we were in the room, we immediately noticed things were malfunctioning. The game master couldn't get the video to work (the first clue was supposed to be in the video) and we didn't even get a count down timer to track the hour. We also had a dead mechanical piece that made it impossible to do one of the puzzles. And the last exit code had to be put in around 5 times before the lock decided to work. We did the hardest room which we felt was hard not because the puzzles were intricate but because there were odd poorly thought out pieces. Our game master had a different game running at the same time so we felt very neglected as our clues seemed to be unhelpful for the current puzzle we worked on. This company is a disaster. Communication with people on the general number is absolutely impossible. They continued to charge my card monthly fees. When I called, they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I read off the charges. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told to email someone and that they couldn't promise they would return my call. He then put me on hold and never clicked back over. THEY WILL SCAM ME. BE CAREFUL!!!!! We did not escape from Outbreak. When the person came in to show us how it was supposed to be done, a key part just did not work. He kept getting the same result that we did, which would not allow you to escape. In other words, it was not possible to escape. When this was clear, there was no apology or offer of a refund. Ridiculous. There were other problems with the room like instructions which were not clear or misleading. For example, we were told that no outside tools were allowed. Afte rward we suggested that having a calculator in the room would be helpful, and were told to just use our phones. Of course, that contradicts the rule we were told. They sent us emails asking for feedback. Clicking the button on the email opened an email response to go to them. The only problem was that those emails bounced. Big Escape Rooms is oddly located from my perspective, but this was also my 1st Escape Room experience and I've been told by others, that many of the locations are also oddly located. Not a negative or a positive, just a statement wrapped in an inquiry. Parking was supposed to be "Free" with valet service during non-peak hours, which based on my experience, I'm questioning whether that's actually true or not. There's plenty of places to park "around" the building, but from what I saw, in the immediate area, "free" parking is pretty limited. This was my 1st Escape Room experience, so I tend to temper my expectations in those cases. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed myself thoroughly. The host was helpful and though my team didn't escape, you should learn from your experiences as you move forward in life and I'm certain that I will and look forward to my next Escape Room experience. Just a heads up...Depending on how "successful" you ultimately want to be, I'd definitely say pick your team wisely and having a larger group, (Personalities are IMPORTANT) would probably be helpful, as you could divide and conquer a bit more (It is timed and all). Of course, if you want to make it "harder", you could always go smaller as well. The Basketball Escape was a lot of fun. My family and I didn't break out, but we had a blast trying to break out. The reason for the low rating is the HORRIBLE customer service we received from the young lady that "greeted" us as we entered the facility. She saw my family members and I and asked "Are you all walk ins?" We confirmed that we were and she scoffed and walked over to the front desk. My husband and I were tempted to leave because we don't tolerate poor customer service, but we brought visiting family members there who were eager to go through an escape room. The young lady with the pink hair provided a much more pleasant experience. She was friendly, personable, and above all else, helpful. Personally, the young lady at the front desk deterred me from ever returning to this particular escape room facility, but we will visit another one soon. read more

Without giving all of the surprises away, I'll just say that it was filled with EXTRA items added to the experience. We did the breakout room and we laughed the entire time. -Parking is free and you don't have to walk a long way -The host was amazing. He was sooooo funny - The room was very creative Cons: - price was $30 per person (you can't use the Groupon on Saturday) - the location is difficult to find (the building is surrounded by a black gate) -The doctors office needs to be updated OVERALL, WE WOULD ALL DO IT AGAIN!!!! I was under-whlemed by my experience at Big Escape. Been to another one or two and this one falls flat. My group arrived 15 min early as told to a dingy, over-crowded lobby. No one was there to greet us. We waited 20 min past our start time before being addressed, which was to move out of the way for a finished group to get a picture. Employees have no uniform or indicator they work there other than the stressed looks on their faces. One of the examples prior to our game was broken leading to much confusion in the room. 1/3 of the puzzles in the room were fine and easy enough to figure out with some brain power. The rest were contrived with no in-room clues to help our group. When we walkie'd out for help, employee didn't seem too involved in helping. Play the part and use imagination, much? Bathrooms in lobby dirty, lacking soap and paper. I didn't get the impression that employees/company cared about customer service or aesthetics. Booked this as a special event for a bachelorette party and wish I had chosen any other Escape Room in town. read more

We did the Pharaoh room. The idea is great and the rooms were well decorated with some cool puzzles. Overall, we were disappointed with this room/company for a couple reasons. There are multiple combination locks and we were briefed that some will be left to right and some top down and some on the spine. This is confusing as to which directions to put in the numbers and wasted valuable time. We asked for a clue on one particular lock and were told all but our second number was wrong when, in reality, the 2nd and 3rd were right leading us to waste even more time. On this same lock, we were told to input left to right but in actuality, it was top down. One of the other puzzles was poorly labeled and even after the clue giving us the numbers, none of us could see why that was the answer. There are many typographical errors both on the posters in the lobby as well as in this room on the objects. One of the puzzles was in a plastic case and was made to look worn. It was so worn that a few of the words were indecipherable. Please have someone go through and fix simple spelling mistakes. This is a no-brainer. The checkin process was more chaotic here than at any other company to which we have been. They had 3 rooms set to start at 730pm making the waiting room packed. The waiver kiosks on the walls were not working so we had to wait in line to do them at the desk. The woman at the desk was very nice but you could tell she was overwhelmed and another staff member mentioned how busy they were that day. We essentially waited through both our and another rooms orientation briefing as we were all in the same room although our group had to watch a video where the other group didn't. We were taken to the room at 745 for our 730 reservation. This made us late to our dinner reservations at 915pm as we didn't get back to our car until 9. We have now been to 7 different escape rooms and this was my second least favorite. I am not sure that I would try another with this company as there are many out there that are much better in execution. read more

My fiancée and I do weekly date nights and she took me to Big Escape Rooms for this week's date. We played with another couple that we had never met, but that didn't dampen the experience at all. So fun!! While the location of this place is a little sketchy and you may question whether or not you're in the right building, once you get inside your escape room, it's really well put together. We attempted a pretty hard scenario and lost, but we still had a lot of fun! I'm very competitive and found myself crawling around on my hands and knees more than once, trying to find clues hidden around the room. This game will definitely make you think and is fun if you're looking for a challenge! We had a great time and I'd definitely like to do this again! Maybe next time we'll try a slightly easier puzzle :-) read more

" -- American Horror Story: Season 4 | Episode 2 I wanted to love this place so much, especially since they have all these 5-star reviews (from people who don't normally write reviews...), but alas they have some major kinks to work out. I do want to point out that they are new and on a Friday night had only one person working with 2 rooms going at once - something they definitely need to rethink. I will applaud them for creativity - a theme no one else has - Clowns/circus theme. However, it took major convincing to get my group to consider it and it took hours upon hours and even a phone call to the owner to assure us that no actors were involved and no one would jump out. So let me assure you, anyone with coulrophobia is fine coming and doing this room. Honestly, this is a circus theme and the clowns are minimal. If you think you may have nightmares, then stay away. We showed up for our 11pm start time at 1045pm - we knew we had to sign waivers. We met Bekka and she was great! Very accommodating and explained the previous group was still in the clown room. There was also another group of 4 waiting to go into the Outbreak room - they were playing the puzzles in the lobby waiting to get going. The previous group came out - having escaped - and got their pictures taken and went about their way. Bekka explained she had to reset the room and she was waiting on her co-worker to show up to do that - could we wait. She went ahead and gave the overall instructions to us all and about them another guy showed up (he had been at the front desk of the building when we showed up - he went in to reset while Bekka got Outbreak going. Eventually, we were introduced to "Beatrice," and were led into the Clowned room and away we went. ***MILD SPOILERS*** Do not read this if you want to do this room. So my issues with this room are somewhat major. The room has multiple sections. In the first section, there was a padlock that was unlocked. So when we found a code (that could have unlocked a couple of things, we didn't know if it went to the lock that was not reset, or something else in the room. Inside the cabinet was a cryptex, inside the cryptex was a clue - by the way, this was in plain sight when you walked in the room. As it turns out, after we spent quite a long time on that riddle, we had the wrong riddle. We finally radioed in for help (as the riddle made little sense, but all attempts at solving it were futile), Bekka had us read it to her, and her version was completely different. When she read us her version, we got the answer right away. That allowed us to move on to the next part of the room and more puzzles. Now we moved on to a part of the room that had a complex technical piece. I walked in, looked at it and you could tell it was broken. Computer pieces strewn about - a computer mother board just sitting exposed - it looked broken. A computer was sitting in the corner with code showing on the screen - so we asked. She asked us what we had done, we told her - and she apparently we were supposed to hear a clue once did something. That didn't happen, so she gave us the clue. We worked the puzzle in the room - by the way - solved it quickly. When that didn't allow us to move forward, we radioed. Turns out, we were given the previous clue out of order, so our solution was out of order. Instead of us figuring this out right away, we were told we solved the puzzle wrong. We wasted an additional 10 minutes in here thinking all our work was wrong, until we decided to reorder the puzzle - then we got thru it. Turns out, the "answer key" Bekka has was incorrect. I'll explain outside of spoilers. Room 3 - Minimal issues in here, but we had maybe 10 minutes left when we got in here. We should have had more like 20. We mad rushed in this room and luckily, there was a lot in this room I had seen and done before in other rooms. Thankfully. ***END OF SPOILERS*** My biggest issue, with any escape room is you cannot have effective game masters if you do not allow them to go thru the rooms themselves and figure things out. Bekka was great for what she had to work with. Mastering two rooms at once, she had no idea where we were at any point in the game. She was too busy watching the other team as well. So we had to tell her what we had done already each time we asked for help. The room was not properly reset, so items were put away wrong or not at all. And since she has never done the room herself, she has no clue what solutions are or what we are doing - how can you master a team, if you haven't done it yourself. I don't fault Bekka in the least - she was so friendly and apologetic for the issues. But you need 1 game master per room, and they need to be an expert on that room. Big Games has big potential. I look forward to trying out their Outbreak room as well as Pharaoh (once it opens). read more

Pros: - Game master was excellent and perfect for his job. Acting was on point, and he did an amazing job managing two games at the same time and keeping the vibe positive. He's probably holding the whole enterprise together. - We did Pharaoh and the puzzles were pretty neat. There was enough challenge and interactivity for it to be a fun and interesting experience. - Due to COVID we all got private rooms, and everyone was wearing masks. Cons: - As previous reviews have said, a clue in the room malfunctioned, pieces of the room looked visibly damaged and hot-glued back together. RFID tags were visible on components making it easy to guess how they functioned. It was disappointing beating the room but not being aware of it because the room wasn't functioning correctly. Reviews mentioned the rundown state of the room from years back, and I'm surprised that things haven't changed at all since then. - The one staff looked really busy. When we left, he was helping in another group. We weren't offered a victory photo, but I don't blame him. He was swamped. Overall, I can see this as a fun place for The Office corporate retreat of awkward escape room mishaps, but it seems both more expensive and lacking in care than competitors. I wouldn't recommend Big Escape Rooms unless I had Michael Scott in tow, or they finally do a renovation and hire more staff. read more

We did the Outbreak room and it was pretty cool. Very hard and required a lot of team effort (we were 5). We didn't escape/survive the outbreak, but we made it to the second room! We will definitely come back to get out of that freaking room! read more

We did the Clown escape room. It was our first time doing an escape room and tons of fun! We escaped with 20 minutes left. You get an hour to escape. Char was awesome!!! Update: solved the hardest one Outbreak! It was much harder than Clown so glad we did that one first! Char is the best!!! read more
