I used to love coming here, but it's gone a bit down hill over the past few years.
Don't get my wrong, the steaks are still delicious. And I love that there's so much to choose from when it comes to sauce and potatoes. You also get to choose the type of steak you want, size and temperature. I think the prices for mains are quite resonable compared to other restaurant chains in Norway, and the fact that you get a yummy steak.
Other than that it seems that they're stocking more and more ready-made items. They used to have amazing onion rings, but the ones they serve now are probably the same as you can buy frozen at the grocery store, at a much higher price of course.
The dessert cakes are also store bought, the same cakes you can buy at 7-11 at half price.
I still love going here because the steaks are great, but we go somewhere else for dessert, and we skip appetizers.
Although the restaurant looks a little bit nicer than typical chain restaurants in Norway, most people just wear casual outfits. I'm not saying that's a good thing.
I highly recommend booking a table if you're going on a Saturday, as with most other places in Bergen. read more
