The food is always fresh and the vegetables are cooked perfect. The staff is really very nice and efficient.

This place was never much to look at inside, but the food was reliably tasty and fresh, and the servings were generous. Today we tried it for the first time e in a couple of years, and were disappointed. I watched them cook my order, and it seemed like it was all fresh. But when we got it home, it wasn't the same as we remembered. The wonton soup broth was flavorless, although there was ample shrimp and meat. Just one piece of broccoli, though. Shrimp fried rice had enough shrimp, but the rice was missing something--very bland. Finally, the moo shu was soggy, almost as if it was boiled and not stir fried. No wok hei flavor. There is absolutely no way this food was cooked fresh today. I can not even pierce the meat with a fork! There is no sauce in the container so I'm assuming this was made prior and microwaved to death . read more

We use to eat here all the time a few years ago so we thought we would try it again. The restaurant smells and the dining area is gross and cluttered. We got take out and the quality of the food here has gone way down hill. I got General chicken and cut open every piece to find very little fatty pieces in it. I ate half and threw the rest in the trash where it belonged. The broccoli was barely cooked in it. My wife did not finish her dish either and was unhappy with it. The food is good americanized Chinese food. The egg rolls are delicious. I cant say i've ever had a bad meal from there. Even when I was in a diet they would give me steamed chicken and broccoli with the sauce on the side. I used to work next door to this place so I ate there often. I would see them cleaning the kitchen with bleach and steel wool late at night. In the morning I would see them cutting up fresh ingredients for the day including chicken, beef, pork, broccoli and other fresh veggies. What i saw made me feel even better about eating their food. The lady that runs the place is nice. I've always known her as Christine but I don't know if that's right. Her husbands name is Chan and he really doesn't speak much English but tries to help Christine at the counter which can be comical. Lastly, this place is mainly set up for carry out food. The do have tables and chairs set up but the atmosphere isn't too inviting. It is sort of dark in there and usually cold from people going in and out. If you're looking for some decent take out or delivery then I recommend this place. If you are looking for a sit down restaurant then I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

I used to really like this place, but things have changed. Hot and sour soup had no mushrooms or tofu. I think it had chicken? The steamed dumplings were still great, but the egg roll was awful, the combo meal was bland with horrible fried rice. I didn't even get a fortune cookie. read more

NASTY AND DIRTY, The building is an old bank and in ill repair. The floor mats were dirty and baseboards wrecked. Then the smell of cigarette smoke was ever increasing and I wondered why since smoking inside s business is illegal. Then I saw one of the cooks smoking behind a food preparation counter. My dissatisfaction all started when it took the food and hour and ten minutes to arrive on delivery. When the food did arrive, the situation did not get any better. The food turned out to be bland and it was stuck together, congealed as if it was simply microwaved. My wife and I get takeout here probably 4 or 5 times a year (used to be more when we had kids at home) and are always happy with it. It's not the very best Chinese we've ever had but for Cortland takeout it's the best there is and the prices are quite reasonable, and with a HUGE variety of dishes available. The in-house ambiance is awful ... pure plastic and bare but I almost never see anyone eating at any of the few table they have. It's basically just a take-out place. We eat a wide variety of their stuff and, again, we are always happy with it. Their hot and sour soup is particularly good and the breading on their sweet and sour pork is decent, not soggy like I've had in a few Chinese places. read more

Tried them for the first time a few weeks ago, and they were ok. Steamed dumplings were good. Ordered a dinner combo (pepper steak) in addition to that. Steak was decent, but the fried rice was incredibly salty. Felt like I had to drink half a gallon of water to rehydrate. Wanted to give them one more try after that, should have saved my money though. Ordered the dumplings again and they were so soggy they just about fell apart when I picked them up. Rice was even more salty than last time, and the pork was burnt. The people there are really nice, but it's not good quality Chinese food. read more

Ok where should I start? From the beginning . Like many other places in Cortland, they left me a flyer in my mailbox. Normally I have salads and subs but on this night I wanted some tasty Chinese food. I remembered I had a local places flyer. After checking out there flyer/menu decided to give them try. It's plus that they deliver for free locally. So I called in my order , chicken fried rice and beef Lo mein. I was very optimistic about my order, it arrived quickly. At first glance, the food it looks like they something out of the dollar general frozen aisle. I must say the beef Lo mein was somewhat decent. But the chicken fried rice, well that was very bland . The best part of my dinner was the flat soda I had in my fridge. I don't even like soda.... I will not be ordering from this place again needles to say. I've had better frozen Chinese from PF changs. I can only suggest you do as I will, and that is to buy frozen PF Chang make it yourself. read more

It was a few bucks cheaper than the place I usually order from and someone said it was pretty good food so I decided to give it a try. I wanted Crab Rangoon but saw nothing that said Crab Rangoon on the menu which is how I've always seen it on a menu.. I picked what I hoped was Crab Rangoon but it wasn't, it was just some not so great crab meat. I ordered General Tsao's chicken and it was subpar to say the least. I barely ate any of the food. Annoyed I wasted 10 dollars, I'll stick with China City from now on. read more
