Very fun and informative tour. The guides and workers were very friendly and great with kids. The chance to hold a drone bee was a plus. Thanks again for the tour!

I've been familiar with this company many years, as their beautiful labels on their honey products standout in many grocery stores. It was a treat to actually visit and well worth the drive! Plus just down the road a little bit more is a gorgeous beach park. They have plenty of free parking on the grounds. You can walk around and explore with hives and beautiful plants all over. The main building has a shop filled with all their honey products as well as locally made gifts. The staff were immediately welcoming and happy to talk us through the business of bees. He shows us the hive inside, then took us through a number of different honeys and what makes each special. Prices are reasonable; you can also buy their products in many stores or have them shipped if luggage space is an issue. This is a must visit place on the Kona Coast!

This was our second time at BIB, and first time doing the tour! Everyone was so nice, willing to answer questions and chat about bees. While it's not a walking tour that some may initially think, once you arrive, you view a short video of the history of BIB and walk out to a screened off area where you'll watch the hive get opened, learn about all parts of the hive, the work of the females, the mating life of the males and of course the queen! No shortage of opportunities for Q&A as well! It didn't disappoint! The tour is finished off with honey tasting, which is perfect! You get to taste every honey they offer, with of course the opportunity for shopping as well. I brought plenty of jars home for gifts, along with a nice supply in our pantry! Definitely worthwhile to learn about the secret life of bees!!

What a lovely experience - our tour guide was hilarious and I loved all the information we received. I've seen this honey sold in stores on different islands - and it's so delicious! We got some shipped home and have loved sharing this with our friend and family. This is not your normal mass produced honey- so yummy- especially the vanilla bean honey. Also, it's a gorgeous place for pictures.

Fantastic tour with a superb hive master. Funny and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions and I got to see a queen bee close up. The hives are set up with safety in mind so that guests on the tour can feel comfortable and not fearful of getting stung. The gift shop is great with many products and displays. Do get the honey ice cream

We love the honey from here, especially the Lehua honey. There was quite a bit of selection of different unique honey at this store. The prices are reasonable.. There is a little museum inside with artwork of hives. You can sample the different types of honey. They also give tours at 10am and 1 pm for A fee.

Complimentary tea and macadamia nut honey pie. It was so good we bought some from the gift shop.

This was a wonderful tour/gift shop/tasting. The employees were very enthusiastic and friendly, so the tour was even more enjoyable. The gift shop was very ambient. The bees are being treated extremely well. Overall 11/10, and probably our favorite tour on this island.

A fun little store where you can sample all the honey they make, see the history of honey collecting, take a quick tour, or order your honey to ship home. The staff feels like family and are very knowledgeable. Parking is limited. When you pull up on the gravel road, it looks like a barn. Once inside, it looks like a museum/gift shop. Try the honey! Find your favorite!
