We stopped here 3 times in 2 days in the area. I especially loved the papaya smoothie. The chocolate chip cookies were great too! It has a very laid back atmosphere and beautiful gardens to enjoy your smoothie in. Parking is limited and can be difficult. Only one employee but the line goes fast. It's expensive but size is decent. Would recommend! read more

The BEST smoothies on the island! We loved their smoothies so much (and the Lilikoi Dessert Bars) that we visited twice! Smoothies were so packed full of fresh fruit - they are delicious and so nicely priced. We tried the Pineapple Passion Fruit, Pineapple Guava, and Papaya Banana. The best smoothies we've ever had. They have snacks, gifts, macadamia nuts, local products, and tons of fresh fruits in addition to smoothies and sandwiches. The cutest fruit stand with exotic fruit for cheap, friendly workers, and a nice seating area with a view. Saw this fruit stand on the side of the road as we were travelling back and forth from Captain Cook. Wanted to stop by and see what kind of fruit they had. We ended up picking up rambutan, papaya, apple banana, ugli fruit, and these cherries that were almost bell pepper-like. The cashier was super sweet and helpful as we browsed and shopped. When you just hike the Captain Cook Monument without liquid with you of course you're dying to slurp anything cold after. Goodness along the way to Hilo this fruit stand stall is a savior for our thirsty throat. We stopped here for some smoothies and watery fruits. Bandit got the chocolate peanut butter banana and rice milk smoothie while I got the mango banana apple juice. T'was okay. Not the best. It's refreshing though coz its cold. Got the Caimito with us to munch along the road. The Caimito fruit was so good. It's sweetness is just right! If only there's other fruit stand nearby I'll check it out for sure. I mean, the woman who took orders are a bit grumpy. Also, when I tried to ask for a knife to cut the Caimito she said that they won't do it coz of Covid. I don't wanna comment coz it's just unreal. Cute local stand with lots of different fruits we have never heard of or seen before. The owner was super friendly and helpful, helping us decide which fruits to try and informing us to wash the fruits with soap and water. We ended up buying apple banana, strawberry papaya, snake fruit, white guava, abiu, and rollinia. We also got a #7 smoothie which had mango, papaya, and apple juice - we chugged it! In the back they have some baked goods and bottled drinks. We got a lilikoi bar, candied ginger and some bottled water. read more

The smoothie was decent. The lady working there was a very odd vibe. She told me it was her mission to educate people about washing fruit. I didn't stop by for a sermon. She told me something about fruit washing and rats and I tuned her out. She told me that they use only frozen fruit and her smoothies are the best in the island. Well I'd give the smoothie a 4 and the experience a 2. I've had far better tasting smoothies. read more

I am so so happy that my family finally drove by at the right time. We work weird hours and have always missed it. Anyways, onto the good stuff. I just ate the best salsa on earth. They have chips there (just buy them there, you have to try the salsa right away) just delish! It's so cute. So clean. They are so adorable and kind. I bet it's even more fun for tourists. Drove 40+ minutes to get here on a Friday at 1:30pm and they were closed despite the hours posted on Yelp, their FB page, and website. We've been here a handful of times in the past and while their fruit is generally good quality, the selection is limited depending on the time of year you're visiting and is really no different than what you can get if you're visiting one of the farmer's markets on the island, plus it's slightly more expensive. read more

I came here with a friends of mine to get some fresh fruit and I was so happy I could find my favorite kind of bananas I used to eat in Brazil. I just could not believe it. They also have so many different tropical and exotic fruits, smoothies, soap, and other little things to get. Prices sometimes can be a little high but if you are either craving for something you can't find in your home or if are not afraid and want to try new stuff, here is the right place to come. The place is small but has super friendly staff and good parking lot. Remember to bring tour own bag because they can't provide any. Fortunately they had a few boxes and we put our fruits there. Every year, I spend a month or two on the Big Island of Hawaii. I stay on the Kohala coast but I do venture around the island a little bit. This fruit stand is South of Kona. They have amazing fruit options and it is always fresh!! You will find lots of familiar fruits as well as some fruits that are a little more difficult to come by on the mainland. No worries though, the staff are very friendly and will explain how to open and eat anything you are not familiar with. They also make great sandwiches and smoothies. If you are looking to make it a full day out of it, I recommend snorkeling at two step and then eating here after! read more

What a great place to stop on the way around the island. We caught the owner short staffed and could not order any sandwiches or smoothies. We did however have a chance to buy some the best carrot cake I have had on the island. It is moist, has pineapple, macadamia nut, and cream cheese icing! Macadamia nut mini-pie, Kona coffee, potato salad, and a ham & cheese sandwich with avacado. All of this available at the fruit stand! My friend got fruit, but I got all of the above, and every last bite was scrumptious. She also got the carrot cake and she billed it as "the best carrot cake I've ever tasted." I did have a bite, and I wouldn't disagree. I was taking the red-eye home last night, and you can't take fruit out of Hawaii (except pineapple), because of some crazy agriculture rule, so I didn't get any fruit, but it looked soooo enticing. I am coming back to Kona again if I return to Hawaii. By far my favorite island is the Big Island, and I am making this little stop a priority. Sweet and friendly cashier. Great selection. The fresh fruit smoothies (pineapple, mango, or lilikoi) are outstanding here! We were starting our morning drive from Captain Cook to South Point, HI. In that direction, it's easy to miss the South Kona Fruit Stand entrance. I decided to reverse back so our family could buy smoothies at 9:15am. We waited for about 5 minutes and then got back in the car. My wife, two sons (12 yrs, 10 yrs), and I agreed that these were the most delicious fruit smoothies we had on the Big Island. Overall, I would recommend a quick stop if you're driving to Kona from South Point (or vice versa). Alternatively, the South Kona Fruit Stand is a great option after a couple hours of snorkeling at Two-Step or visiting the "Place of Refuge" National Park at Honaunau. read more
