This little store is a TREASURE of high quality local food! You must stop in, especially for the best fresh fruits and veggies. Per their name, everything is truly FRESH and local! All grown, caught or made locally on Hawai'i Island. Their produce selection is top notch, super high quality, AND at better prices than the bigger grocery store (Choicemart) up the road. Big beautiful avos, baby! Gorgeous oyster mushrooms! They offer local Sundog breads (soooo good) and even fresh pizza dough in the fridge. They also carry everything from frozen 'ulu (breadfruit), to local jams, to coffee. My favorite treat is probably the rotating selection of fresh juices and bougie chilled coffee drinks in the cooler. They also carry things that I (as a vegan) won't buy, but can appreciate that they are sourcing all locally - eggs, meats, etc. The owners are a lovely, warm, hardworking young couple with a ton of community spirit. Definitely don't miss this sweet spot in Kainaliu village!

    Great variety and so fresh!

Traveling to Kona but want to plan some vegan food stops? Incredible vegan food! Options, quality,…read morenutritious, great service. Great atmosphere indoor and out. We put off going here at the start of our trip but now I wish we hadn't. Try the Ube Latte!

Came here around 9am on Saturday. Wasn't too busy, we were able to order right away and find…read moreseating. The place is super comfy with really cute decor. And their staff is super nice! First off, their macadamia ice cream is really really good! Creamy, thick, sooo tasty! We also ordered: Epic Feisty Tacos - 5/5 - comes with three tacos and spicy sauce. The tacos are super tasty and perfectly balanced spicy, savory, tangy flavors. The lemon herb chik'n is also so good, you can't even tell it's vegan. The tortillas are a bit on the crumbly side, but still equally tasty as a taco bowl. Definitely would recommend this dish if you love spicy tacos! Epic journey nachos - 4/5 - the toppings on the nachos taste similar to the feisty tacos. The chips are more like baked tortillas with a crispy exterior and softer center. Journey Classic Crepe and Blueberry macnut crepe - 3/5 - The crepe itself was a bit thick, I'd describe it as more of a pancake than a crepe as crepes should be super thin. Still pretty good though all together, fruity and sweet. Latte with oat milk - 4/5 - a bit on the bitter side but not a bad latte! Asian salad - 4/5 - good salad, vegan meat is well seasoned and everything pairs well together. It wasn't very Asian tasting though, more like a Mexican-Asian fusion salad.

We found this place as we were beach hopping and wanted something quick nearby…read more We got the Kamuela and the Avo-cobb-o and both were great options! I actually made a few substitutions on mine and the workers were happy to oblige. The service was really good and they were super efficient. They heat up the protein in the microwave so my steak was a little dry, but overall a very solid choice. Both were really good and very affordable!

Sorry, but this place is basically a lesser version of Subway…read more I ordered a spinach wrap and... yikes. The wrap itself tasted old, and the filling was just a sad mix of veggies (and I use the term veggies loosely because they were definitely not veggie'ing). We gave it a shot because it included garbanzo beans, which sounded promising, but they were bland, flavorless, and matched the overall lack of effort in the wrap. Just no. Vegetarians: do yourselves a favor and skip this one. There are way better options out there. Service: The woman behind the counter seemed totally rushed, even though we were literally the only people there in this ghost town of a food court. She just kind of tossed the ingredients on the tortilla, wrapped it up, and that was that. No care, no flavor, no thanks. Ambiance: Not much to say: it's a food court that felt totally empty and lacked any energy. Hard pass. Would not recommend.
