Firstly, this was the first time I've ever been pierced when I didn't have the "artist" have you pick your jewelry before being pierced. That being said, we BOTH told him we wanted super small subtle jewelry and instead of coming out with the jewelry options, dude came out with his tools and pierced us. Me thinking this is a professional, thought oh he's just gonna bring out the smallest stuff he has, NO. Not only was my mom not happy with how LARGE the jewelry was (mind you I've had many face piercings including both sides of my nostrils done so I'm not completely oblivious) they had smaller gems on display that we saw as we were walking out. So she asked after seeing how large the jewel was if she could come back before she left town (providing the dates and everything) to get JUST the gem topper changed to a smaller gem, not replacing the whole post and gem, he said yes. Fast forward to today, we call just to make sure he's available, not only is the shop closed the day he said he would change it, he's not willing to do so anyways because it doesn't fit the "healing timeframe". I get the healing process but you didn't even allow us to pick jewelry and then lied when we asked to get what we wanted later and not replacing the entire jewelry. BAD PRACTICE! I will be recommending and going to VA beach for piercings from now on, no one in this area is reputable.

I came in with some art I found on Pinterest, but thought it would be nice to give her some creative freedom too. She came up with a small ghost for my wrist -- and I loved it instantly. Over the past week, I've gotten so many compliments on it. Turns out that I love it wayyyy more than my initial line wraparound! She made the process so smooth, gave great aftercare advice, and was just such a vibe the whole time. Huge shoutout to her, she does amazing work! I also want to shout out the rest of the crew I met during my session: Canada, Flaco, and Sam. They were so kind and welcoming. We vibed over books, life struggles, and everything in between. It all felt so genuine, like hanging out with friends. And it blew my mind that they remembered me when I attended the VB Tattoo Fest this weekend! For a first tattoo, I couldn't have asked for better people or a better experience. I'll definitely be adding more over time. She even used to sell them on Etsy. I really wanted to get a tribute tattoo for her to commemorate her artwork. She passed February 2022. I came in as a walk in and had this reference picture of one of her pieces. I definitely didn't want it to be identical but just something that I knew the meaning. The secretary at the front desk was the absolute sweetest. Super patient with me and all of my questions. You'll notice as soon as you walk in that the shop itself is super clean and well kept. My friend and I had come in around 8PM (2 hours before they close) and originally they told me they would only have time to do my friends tattoo and not mine. Some artist have other appointments going on so walk ins are not always guaranteed a spot. I was pretty disappointed but still wanted my friend to go ahead and get hers. One of the artist (and I feel so bad I cannot remember his name) was actually packing up and getting ready to leave for the night but then I think he saw how sad I was sitting waiting for my friend to be done. He ended up saying he would do the tattoo for me and I was so so so grateful. He got the drawing up and tattooed me all within about 30 minutes and it turned out so so good! The only thing I think that stood out to me negatively was they do not let you bring guests back to the tattoo rooms. I can see how this can be nerve racking for first timers. As there was one younger girl there for her first ever tattoo and she seemed super disappointed when they denied her request of bringing her mom back with her. However, I will forever be grateful and the experience was just amazing. Definitely will come back for my next piece!

The lines have been fading from my first session so he touched them up, and now the lines faded AGAIN after the second session. I have 7 tattoos for 6 + years and NONE of them have faded except this shitty ass tattoo from Lorin. Adding on to that, Lorin took it upon himself to give me veins on a hibiscus flower and disregarded what I specifically told him. I showed him a picture, explained multiple times I wanted a bright purple full color fill in and instead he put blue mixed with red and purple as veins not even a full color fill in he just put straight ass veins. How can i be more fucking clear? I am so livid I am going somewhere else to get this ballsack ass flower corrected. Do not bother me with that bullshit excuse " but you didn't say anything". I spent $1,400 for a 4 hour session in pain with blood covering my whole arm so no I couldn't fucking see my tattoo when the session was over because it was nothing but blood and ink. Immediately he wrapped it up and sent me out. It took until a week after the wrap came off and i washed off all the blood just to see this shit show on my arm. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! Oli, the piercer, took a look at my ear and decided that I definitely needed the Forward Helix re-pierced and even suggested we place it a little lower for better healing. I waited for about an hour since there were a few people ahead of me but Oli was absolutely amazing! She changed out my jewelry and re-pierced my ear with ease! She explained the healing process and I love how knowledgeable she was! We had the best time laughing and vibing to her music. I left out of the shop feeling like I made a new friend!
