Wow! Haven't been here in a few years and since the new management, the place is a complete 180! Customer service is great. From my observations everyone looked really happy and relaxed with their services. My person for my manicure and pedicure was so meticulous. I was surprised to be receiving such exceptional services around the area as it can be hard to find with decent prices. They also offer snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is clean. Even the bathroom is relaxing! I won't spill the surprise and instead let you find it for yourself. Really enjoyed going back here under the new management. Got the hot stone pedi and it sucked! My tech rushed thru the entire visit 20 second stone massage 10 seconds of scrub the massage oil was a combo of lotion, towel wrap then the wax. She kept looking at menu card to see what else she needed to speed thru. For 60 bucks not worth it! read more

Came here based on neighbor recommendations. Brought my daughter (10) for her first mani/pedi. Was not super impressed. First, the woman who did my daughter's nails had no personality and seemed miserable and unsmiling. My daughter was a little apprehensive of the whole thing and so every time my daughter had an issue, the tech would come to me, but in like, an exasperated way. Didn't even try to reassure my daughter or make it seem fun. Seemed to not know how to work with kids to make it enjoyable for them. As for myself, the tech was fine. I paid for a basic manicure (no gel since I wanted to see how they were), and the next level pedicure. They were just OK but not a lot spent on foot and calf or hand massages. Overall for both of us, it was about $135. I think that was with tip. Kid's mani and pedi were $20 each, my "fancy" pedicure was $48 I think, and manicure was $35? Now, I'm from NYC , and when you give a tip, they give you a nice back massage at the chair for like 5 minutes. Not here, so I was disappointed. Prices are cheaper in NYC as well. I was not a fan of the line of polishes they carry. I like Essie or OPI polishes and they were not available. Just some name I've never heard of. I like subtle, natural, nude/natural colors, and the closest I could find turned out to look like pastel dry erase chalk. Fine for brighter colors for pedi, but not the look I wanted for mani. Honestly, I could've saved a ton of money and just given my daughter her mani/pedi at home, but wanted her to have a good experience. She didn't have a great experience and probably won't go with me again. I'll be trying other nail salons. This just didn't cut it. read more

Absolutely not. It was to my understanding that cheese graters werent allowed and they surely did pull one out. It was rinsed in the water my feet was in and then the plastic brush that was used to brush my toe nails was used to scrub it off. Both items were hung back on the side of the cart. Nothing was in sterile bags except for the pumice stone used to scrub the bottom of my feet. I really hope the nippers and clippers were clean because they were just lying on the top of the cart. The toe separators looked used. They were already wide and spread apart not stuck together like a new pair would be. There weren't even any new ones on the cart just these two separators loose. Then when my nails were painted the separators were thrown back on the cart. He did a good job on my nails but it didn't feel clean he could go a far way if he was given better tools read more

I won't be returning after my visit today. I have been here many times and the staff has always been nice. My usual nail tech has moved away and for the last two visits (a fill prior and full set w/gel today) was with Selina. The last visit she gave me a hard time about the nail polish I chose asking me to pick another because she felt that color wad too transparent. Two things, first I've use colors from that book numerous times at this salon and others with no issue ( which I told her). Second, it's the customer's choice...figure it out, maybe 3 coats instead of 2. Today I intentionally chose a different tech only to be placed with Selina again because the tech I scheduled with only does pedicures. Selina proceeded to tell me why did I schedule with that tech she only does pedicures. Seems like a booking issue to me. Serenity's booking site asks what service you want then has you choose a tech for date and time. How would someone know that? Whatever...I start my full set with Selina. Super easy request almond shape that sharp around the tip not rounded (like oval). She proceed to cut the tips like a triangle (literally) after I showed her the picture of exactly what I wanted. I stopped her right there and told her it was ugly and it needed to be fixed. It was fixed but she seemed irritated and proceeded to tell me "well you wanted sharp." I said, I showed you a picture of exactly I wanted. After all was done I go up to pay for services and she charges me $60 for the full set. I know it's advertised as $50+ but I literally asked for a simple full set. There's not even polish color on it just a clear gel coat. She tells me it's because of my length and shaping. Y'all when you get a full set don't they have to cut down the tip and shape it? I could understand if I asked for long nails with crazy artwork and design but for what I got wouldn't that be part of the service as they do ask you what shape you want? Btw, she did this to me last time and charged me $5.00 more when I asked her to shape my nails down a bit shorter since it grew by that much. Hmm don't they file to shape it when you get them filled? I am happy to pay and tip for service especially if I am treated well and get what I ask for or how about be just be transparent and let your customer know ahead of time. I just felt with her that I was nickel and dimed for what most places include as part of the service. No other nail tech there or in many of the other places I've been have changed me the way she has and I found that to be very unscrupulous business practice. Again, not about the money but the principal. The final straw was that she had the audacity to tell me she didn't charge me the bit of acrylic she had to place on the triangle nails to fix the shape. Uhh yeah you needed to fix it, it was not acceptable. Never again and that is too bad because my pedicure with Joseph was excellent. read more

Used the online scheduler. Boy is that a nice feature. I scheduled it less than 12 hours before I wanted the appointment. Showed up a little early and had about a 5 minute wait. Seated for the pedicure. Asked what drink (water/soda) I wanted?!?!? WOW, that's a thing? Ok... the person who did mine was very very gentle (that is not a complaint). All the product was brought out on its own plate and the implements are sterilized in a sterilization bag that is opened in front of you. The files, scrubber and sanding block are all mini and for you only. Now, this is not a cheap place by any means, but with the service I received and the products used not having a bunch of hands in it (open containers) I feel that it was worth it. And, while I was there there was a walk in for a pedi. They were seated right away even without an appointment. There was 11 technicians there that day. My only... and it's a small only thought is that I do miss the foot massage. Very happy and will be back again. read more

Stephen was super great, kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and did a great job. The place is totally redone and beautiful. I was looking for a new nail salon after the one I had been going to for awhile had disappointed me for the last time. I found Serenity and thought I'd give them a try. They did not disappoint!! From the moment I walked in I was impressed. They greeted me cordially and almost immediately escorted me to a massage chair for my requested pedicure. They offered complimentary beverages and were quick and happy to serve them to me. The atmosphere was relaxing, and my nail tech Chandra went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my service (pedicure). Now it had been awhile since my last pedi and my feet were a WRECK!! By the time Chandra was done with me I looked as though I could have been a foot model!! The polish was a perfect color and not watered down to hell like some places. The pedicure I chose included a nice leg massage and a paraffin wax treatment, both executed in a lovely manner. I definitely left happier than when I walked in. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of services rendered. I'll definitely be back!! Can't say enough nice things about this place. I was very unhappy with my service here and unfortunately will not be returning. Called a day ahead to schedule five services and was only booked for three. When I clarified the mistake the day of, I was told I had to come back later in the day to get my unfinished services done. The dip I got was weak and ended up breaking apart less than a week later. She did not put enough layers on and the color didn't even cover my full nail. Didn't offer newer services like sugaring. There was one person who pushed back her other services to help me out because she felt bad for all the mistakes but again, the end result wasn't what was asked for. I visit this area quite often and was looking for a go to place but I will have to continue my search for all our beauty needs. read more

However, the past time I went I got tips and dip powder on my nails. 4 nails have broken over less than ONE week, the first nail broke after 1 day. They say that they are supposed to last around 3 weeks? One of my cuticles was also cut and bled twice after leaving the salon. I decided to try this salon out because we moved less than a year ago and I have yet to find a great nail salon. My 11 year old daughter was getting a mani/pedi and I was getting a mani. My daughter and I both picked out "Cat's Eye" gel polish. Of course, they charge more for it. I said ok. My daughter went with one woman and I went with another. The woman I had was very nice, but as soon as she started to work on my cuticles, she made me bleed. She did this to two nails. She felt really bad, but I have never had this problem elsewhere, so I don't know if she was too rough or what. (In the photo you can see the blood on my ring finger as well as the dried skin still on my fingers.) After that, she filed my nails. They reuse their files, I could see how worn down it was, so that was kind of gross. After she filed my nails, she wrapped a hot towel around them for a few minutes. She then polished them and that was it. No lotion, no hand massage, done. The other woman finished up with my daughter. I went to pay and they charged me $85 for my 11 year old's mani/pedi! Mine was $40! I don't know why they charge so much for magnetic polish. It takes them 2 extra seconds! When I got in the car, I looked at my daughter's nails and it was a crap job. Her toes look like they were one coat and she didn't get the edges on some of them. Her fingers look like she did them herself...some of the polish was on the skin on the sides of her nails. So while the people were very nice, I am highly disappointed with the quality and the price. We will not be going back. read more

I was a little skeptical coming here for the first time today because of the recent reviews. However, all the reviews are complete opposite of my experience today. For a walk in, I did not have to wait very long. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. Annette did my regular pedicure ($25) and she did a fantastic job. She was beyond great. She really took care of my feet and had great techniques. She did natural different techniques I've never seen done before. Highly recommend this place and Annette. Every customer that walked in was happy with their services. Some were regulars as well. The staff is very positive and listens to their customers as I observed and experienced. Actually wish I could give them negative stars! Had a full set of nails done and it was horrible! The worst I've ever had. I went back the next day and asked to have them fixed by another technician. She did what appeared to be an ok job at best. I didn't realize until after I left that the polish was cracking at the tips. I was heading out of town and had no time to have them fixed. Within 48 hours the gel polish was peeling off of several nails. I did not use any unusual products or soaps on my hands that could have caused this. I've had full sets done many times over the years and have never had an experience like this. I will never return. read more

I've been coming here for years (since 2007) and Minh does an excellent job on my hair every time! I love the way he cuts hair, I don't ever go anywhere else! His coloring is great and he's very patient. Never rushes me out of the chair. The shop is very clean, nice atmosphere, all their tools are sanitized between each use. A terrible job was done on a simple manicure. The color was all on my cuticles and outside of the nails. Nothing was done when i showed how they looked because it was the owner who did my nails.
