But we do have control of how we treat it. I made a great decision with Professional Physical Therapy (PPT). Gea is a strong, poised, and capable therapist. She is quite sensitive to the nuances of the varying needs of her patients and responds with plans of acton suited to each person and the unique state they're in. She's done this with me and a pinched nerve I have in my neck with much success. You could say that every physical therapist is what I'm describing, but in my experience with a few different establishments throughout the years, this simply is not the case. The staff that has worked with me at PPT -- Christian, Sarah, Marvin, Amar -- have made my pain less painful by keeping visits enjoyable and helping me stay focused. With Gea, it's her empathy that stands out. And her unwavering confidence in herself, her colleagues, and me. I'm grateful for this. I'm certain I'm getting treated the right way and positive my pain will subside. I truly believe it. THAT is what separates Professional Physical Therapy from the rest. Highly recommend.

An MRI revealed a torn hip labrum, troublesome issues to say the least for someone who likes to play tennis 4-5x/week during the summer. I started seeing Sarah at The Posture People weekly over a 6-8 week period and she worked on creating some space through manual manipulation around the hip joint, showed me numerous exercises which i took home and worked on between appointments. As the season progressed, i went from having limited mobility and at risk of season-ending injury if I went down the wrong way on court (yes, rest was advised) to incredible improvement over the course of the summer. Sarah made me far more aware of my core and small exercises i could do to alleviate stiffness from sitting too long to stretches I could do at any time. Dr. Caryn McAllister has become my families rock star. My children were having some issues that the…read moreschool brought to our attention. Their pediatrician also mentioned that they would need some extra work at home with specialists. I was referred to High Quality Home Therapy. I was skeptical at first because I live in Oxford and they are located in Stamford. That's quite a hike to travel and a bunch of traffic both ways! I was pleased to find out that I was able to have all the therapy and other services performed at my home. They ALL came to me. What a relief! My three children were provided with amazing services. I thought they would see all three for up to 45 minutes, but I was wrong. They saw each for a full 60-90 minutes each. My youngest has the most services as he struggled during COVID in school and needed special tests and a different course of therapy. He received two or three therapists/specialists twice per week. Everything was arranged by Dr. McAllister herself. I told her when the kids had time and she asked when would be convenient and I said please give me a schedule that works best with her staff. She said thank you and gave me a schedule right aways. She worked with my insurance, more like twisted their arm to get me the services my three children needed. I couldn't believe that my insurance initially told me they would not cover anything by three separate letters, however, after she worked behind the scene I received a letter for 20 approved sessions per therapist and specialist and all the additional testing my children required. When my kids required additional sessions she was able to get the insurance company to approve additional sessions, beyond what is in my plan...amazing. I've never seen such dedication and passion from any medical professional. My three boys are all doing better. My youngest has made huge improvements. All of this is because of Caryn McAllister. I think the best surprise was one of the therapists was a former student of mine. What a treat to see how one of my former students has succeeded and she kept telling me how much she loves her boss and company. It made me feel so good about working with High Quality Home Therapy. I only had one issue and it was with my insurance company where they refused to cover one service. I fought hard to challenge it. Dr. McAllister had my back and then she told me that they won't bill me for it again. I was very impressed. It did take a while for the bill to get taken care of. About a month later I found out that Dr. McAllister was not able to get the bill approved and removed from my obligation. She took care of it. I don't know specifics but I didn't have to pay for that bill. Wow. I know that her patients also appreciate and actually care for her. I am also a Driver Rehabilitation Specialist and have met many patients of hers and they all say wonderful things about the service they receive and level of care and detail. I can't believe I didn't write this review sooner. If anybody in my family requires therapy in the future we certainly will use only Dr. Caryn McAllister.
