Recently I had so much fun shopping for a prom dress with my friend, and her daughter! It's amazing the selection of all the beautiful dresses that Dilliard's has, and even more amazing was how much prom dresses have changed since the '80's!!! Good googly moogly!!! That being said, OF COURSE I had to try a couple of them on myself, just for kicks. Gloria and Grace helped us pick the perfect dress for my my friend's daughter after a few tries. They were both awesome at guessing which size would fit best, and which style would flatter her the most. Without their help, there's no telling how long it would've taken us. The juniors dept staff rocks! I didn't by a prom dress for myself though, because I'm 50 and no one asked me to go with them this year....yet. Plus, my husband wouldn't approve. read more

Buyer beware. Even if you don't wear something you purchased there if you take the tag off they will not accept returns. I bought a shirt a week ago, took the tag off and packed for a trip. I decided I did not like it and tried to return an unworn shirt. I was told that too bad our policy says the tag must be on the shirt for returns. I have the tag and the receipt. I went into Dillards to smell a perfume that I was interested in purchasing, which was Gucci Flora Magnolia. While I was there I had the privilege of meeting Yeva Vitkun. She was so helpful and even brought over other perfumes that she thought I may like based off the notes of perfumes that I currently wear and even some perfumes that I never would have thought about wearing. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. She even offered samples so that I could try them before buying. I was so impressed by Yeva and could tell she has a heart of gold and knows the meaning of customer service. A true asset to Dillards. We need more people like her in the world. I have the most amazing experience every time visiting Dillards to shop for my wife and I. We only go when the Luxury Fragrance Director Yeva Vitkun is there. In November my Wife picked out some things for her birthday while shopping. Now it's Christmas and I forgot the name of what she wanted. Thankfully Yeva was there! She remembered our conversation and exactly what she wanted. She saved me from having to call to ruin the surprise. I did have to wait a short moment in line for her because of other loyal customers but in the end it was worth every minute! read more

The day we went to Dillard's men's clothing was an additional 50% off the clearance price. We saved about $700 on professional clothing for men. It was astounding! We came here just to get a summer sports coat, and we left with a large bundle of clothes. The materials and brands were upscale and high in quality. We were very lucky that day. read more

If you're in the market for men's dress wear, go to Dillard's in the Governor's Square Mall and ask for Alex. If he's busy, see if you can make an appointment, walk around a bit and come back. He will make sure you get the right clothing for whatever the occasion and make sure that it fits. I've never been complemented as much on my ensembles as I have been since seeking his advice. You may pay more at Dillard's then some other department stores, but you won't have to return half of the stuff because it's poor quality or it doesn't fit properly. It is worth it! Can't say enough about how nice it is to find someone this good at their job. read more

Love this Dillard's, especially after my experience at the green hills location. I absolutely love one of the saleswomen in the shoe department. I can't think of her name to save my life. Came in to browse this weekend and get out of the house. I asked her about getting a shoe in a different size from the back. It was on the sale rack/table. She went back there and got me a different size, since they didn't have my size. The lady at the green hills location told me you couldn't do that, maybe she was too lazy. Love all the sales here and the sales people are super personable and nice. Their sales are great; every third week of the month! read more

To make a long story short, I will never be back in any Dillard's again, as I was lied to about a clearance sale, wasted 2 1/2 hours tonight only to be told in so many words that Dillard's only appreciates their Dillard's cardholders this weekend and not the thousands of dollars I've spent in cash just the last two years alone. It cost you two very good and extremely loyal customers you greedy bastards, trying to force your customers into paying your high ass interest rates in order to be appreciated! I usually don't go to Dillard's because of the prices and I can never seem to catch a sale. But I went there a few weeks ago after getting frustrated with Victoria's Secret and their lack of descent bras in my size. I went to the lingerie department here and while there isn't a huge selection, the customer service more than made up for it. The department manager was kind and helpful and even gave my girls water and cupcakes while I browsed a little. I'd also like to add that the last time I went to Dillard's I bought a watch. I wish I could remember names because the man that helped me was also incredible. He was very patient with me while I struggled with how much to spend and was overall just a huge help. read more

I'm so thankful for our Dillards! You cannot beat their sale prices. When you purchase online you cannot return clearance purchases. However, when you buy it in the physical store you have a 3-day return window. I really like to try on clothes before buying;-) read more

I will be taking my business elsewhere and encouraging my family and friends to do the same because of a very disturbing and inappropriate interaction my friend had with Amber Hamilton and several other associates at Dillard's in Clarksville. My friend tried to return some clothing and was being very polite in asking for an explanation when she was told that there is a 3-day return policy (which btw there is no evidence of on Dillard's website, where it says most items are eligible for returns within 30 days.) Instead of being polite in return, Amber and her colleagues were supercilious, unkind and hostile to my friend, going as far as using a sarcastic tone with her when she was simply and very reasonably asking for their assistance in their place of employment. How is this professional behavior? Does Dillard's stand behind this kind of treatment of customers? The Dillard's community deserves an explanation for this. read more

The dressing rooms in the swimsuit area are in a very poor condition. I shopped on Monday July 1st in the changing room there was only one hook on the wall, others were broken. No bench or chair was provided to lay my own clothes. The carpet was full of dirt and dust and torn tickets. It was 10.45 in the morning and I had to wait 10 minutes to check out because the cashiers password wouldn't work. Twice a manager was called but a manager never appeared, eventually after waiting much too long I took my item to a different register to check. Clean up your dirty changing rooms, they are a disgrace to the Dillards name. read more

Dillard's is by far my favorite store. Up until tonight I had never had a bad experience, and I am in there more than I'd like to admit lol. This evening I went in to look at the evening gowns available. I found one in particular that I loved. I wanted to try one size smaller and I found the size I needed and went to try it on. The lady that was working this department had been very rude up to this point, but I ignored it and went about what I was doing. As I was in the dressing room with my young daughter the lady knocked on the door and asked if I had both dresses in the dressing room. I let her know that I did. She then said that she needed the size 4, which I intended to buy. I let her know that I had it on. She loudly stated that I needed to get it off because there was someone else that wanted to try it and actually buy it. I was beyond mortified! I am not sure why she thought that I did not plan on making a purchase, and honestly that is irrelevant as every customer should be treated with respect. I changed into my clothes and took the size 6 , to avoid further conflict as I was already so embarrassed, and went to check out. She was rude again as I went to check out so I took the dress so that I could checkout somewhere else. I went over to the "Free People" and "Gianni Bini" section and asked to check out. I was visibly shaken up at this point because I had never been socially assaulted in public like this. The lady in this section was an angel. She has helped me many times in the past because this is my favorite section of the store. She remembered me and even referenced my last visit, which in a way helped me calm down because I felt like she knew me. She went and got two managers. They handled the situation flawlessly. I can not thank these three women enough for their compassion and understanding. Because of the way that they handled such a horrible situation, I will definitely continue to visit Dillard's. These three amazing women definitely reminded me why this is my favorite store. read more

I rarely go to Dillard's as the prices are too expensive for me however I have daughters attending prom this year. We went to this location as we live in the area. I have to tell you the awful experience to get to the good so hang in there. After I carried many dresses back and forth between two departments one daughter finally found a dress. The dress was on hold at the register but the sales lady told me the people did not come back in the 20 minutes they said they would so to get it if I wanted it. SURPRISE the dress was the correct size AND it was on clearance. The dress fit perfectly and beautifully, the clearance sticker had $90 (and some cents). Mommy did a happy dance and daughter was so excited she dances in the dressing room in the dress while I put all the dresses back. Speed up to check out...sales lady tells me this dress is not on clearance someone put the sticker on the dress. The dress was scanning for $260. I felt sick to my stomach. ABSOLUTELY SICK! Sales lady offered no help and told me if she (customer who put it on hold) wouldn't have gotten the clearance price either. My daughter was set on the dress and it did look fantastic on her after much internal struggle I got the dress. After getting to my car I still felt sick. I spent almost $300 on a dress and I still had to purchase another dress. While still sitting in the parking lot I wondered what the store's policy was for circumstances like this? I called customer service to speak to a manager as I was leaving the parking lot wanting to see what the policy was, I spoke to Amber. Amber and Kathy were amazing. They were friendly customer focused and amazing in this situation. Amber told me "There isn't a thing that happens in these four walls I can't make better." That is 100% true in my case. I appreciate her and Kathy so much for helping me in this situation. I was truly blessed by a stranger that day. read more
