Everything was very organized. They currently have plenty of Christmas decorations. Was able to find what I needed right away.

Everytime I visit, this spot just keeps getting better and better!…read more I visited for the first time in awhile just a couple of weeks ago. And I had found that it once again expanded even more within the giant warehouse it occupies. It is quite easy to get lost in the maze of booths, but you're guaranteed a lot to look at along the way. Fleur de Flea is as much of an experience as it is a shopping spot. There are several midcentury modern furniture booths, as well as others selling all manner of art, jewelry, books, clothes, records, plants and more. On my most recent visit, I came away with a book of the script of a show I really love and a fun T-shirt. Fleur de Flea also sells cocktails and other drinks if you'd like to sip while you shop, and it's very pet friendly. You're likely to see a pup shopping alongside its owner, and Fleur de Flea's resident doggo can be found sitting on the counter by the cash registers. This is a spot that is becoming uniquely Louisville for me. I love it so!

Spending an hour here (preferably on the weekend with a cocktail) is one of my favorite shopping adventures! Great staff and they know their stuff! If you're looking for something specific, they can probably find it for you! Value is set by vendors - I've found steals on furnitures and clothes, but passed over some crazy high prices as well. All part of the adventure!

Nitty Gritty was by far the most thoughtfully curated of the stores we went to - but also the most expensive. As we perused the men's section upstairs, we noticed that several items were well above the budget we had set in place. That being said, the quality of nearly all of the items was above average. This is a true vintage store - not one where you will find used clothes bought from Target four years ago (not that there is anything wrong with that either). After about half an hour, he settled on a pair of $30 snowboarding pants that normally sells, from what our internet search revealed, for well over $150, so even though there was some initial sticker shock, the pants were well worth it. He also procured a very vintage sweater vest for $12 which he is insistent he will pair somehow with the pants - I'm looking forward to seeing this outfit. At any rate, I highly recommend this store for the true vintage connoisseur - someone who is looking for well made, lasting pieces and is willing to pay the higher prices for quality. This store has been around for ages and now I understand why: it is a walk back into time. The staff is friendly and helpful, too, which is always a plus, and parking was not an issue, though I had worried it might be.

I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The building walking in will Give you big time nostalgia vibes. Lots of oldest clothing styles and vintage items to browse in this two level shop. The men's department is upstairs and the costume rental area is in the very rear. When back there be sure to look in the rafters for some old school child terrorizing animal mascot heads that are fun to check out. On our trip here my oldest found a 50s retro looking swim suit that she fell in love with. It was reasonably priced so we made the purchase. Overall a pretty cool shop that was fun to browse and brought a blast from the past feeling for me personally. Only strange thing was there was rack with an old uofl mascot hoodie my second oldest wanted but it wasn't priced yet so they simply said "not for sale".

I am an avid thrifter and I am sad to say that I was not impressed. Most of the clothing was older, outdated styles and the prices were quite high. Much of the clothing also appeared very-well worn, especially for the prices. The t-shirts were well-worn, stretched, or stained and priced at 9-10 dollars each!! We were interested in children's clothing for our new grandchild but quickly gave up on that idea as one would have needed hours to find appropriate sizes since the clothing was thrown on to tables haphazardly. This is not a thrift store that I would return to, but others may like the offerings. I read recently that the store may be closing, so if you are interested in checking it out, I would go sooner rather than later.

Issa closing sale! I remembered visiting with my mom, aunt, and grandma, sometimes together and sometimes separately. Every time I would go to the book section. This time no different lol There was a Highlight magazine and a Berenstain bear book. I'm a Gen-Xer and my inner child was delighted today. Mid City Mall is going to look different in the near future yall.

That's the first thing that my children noticed when we walked into the market. The arcade is set up off to the side, through a door, on the first floor. There are a couple dozen pinball machines and old-school video games that you can play for quarters. When we visited, there was no one in the arcade, so we had the whole thing to ourselves. The arcade was an unexpected bonus, but we visited for the food. I love food halls and markets like this because everyone can find something they like. When we visited, one of us got a loaded baked potato from Spudzy Potato Bar, one of us got the falafel and hummus plate from Jerusalem Kitchen, and one of us got a cheeseburger from Ziba's Bistro. But we could have also chosen arepas, Korean street food or crepes, or things like boba and coffee and vegan baked goods. There are a lot of different options here. Upstairs, there are a lot of little booths with crafts and handmade goods and things. When we visited, none of that was open, but we were able to go up there and look around. There's also a small area for young kids to play, and a couple of video games. The second floor is also a nice place to peer down and look at the market from high up above. Parking is wherever you can find it. There's a gravel parking lot a block away, and there's also street parking, if you're lucky to get a spot.

We stopped in yesterday after lunch and spent close to 45 minutes looking around. The store itself isn't huge but it's bigger than it looks from the outside and there is a great selection of things for sale. They seem to have everything from clothing to jewelry to accessories to matchbooks and even old Playboy magazines. I was very impressed with most of the prices that I saw because honestly they seemed pretty reasonable compared to what I typically see at vintage/thrift stores these days. They were even having a sale on swimsuits! The lady working was also friendly and offered her assistance but also left us alone to peruse which I always appreciate. Ultimately all we purchased yesterday was a mood ring but the kiddo is saving her money for clothes and wants to come back when she's ready to add to her wardrobe so we will definitely be in again. The Neon Flea is a nice addition to the neighborhood!

I partook of the Flea Off Market most recently at its annual indoor holiday bazaar, this year held at Mellwood Art Center. This included a couple of food trucks plus vendors set up throughout the two outside buildings at the art center. I also appreciate how well the Flea sets the mood for their markets, with DJs in each building and a bar where you can buy drinks. The Flea has always been more of an experience, where it's fun to shop and also to hang out. During this most recent market, I found several creative vendors that I wished I could buy from. I said to my friend who accompanied me, "I wish I had people cool enough on my Christmas list to buy some of these things for." Alas, I just had family on my list. ;-P Some of my favorite finds, though, included Georgia's Sweet Potato Pie Co. (also has a spot in the Highlands that's worth a visit!), SnoWhat, Eichen Design, FLY Girl Candles and Eden & Kissi (also has a physical location that you should go to in Buechel). I was also struck by the idea that I really need to make it a point to go to more of the Flea's outdoor markets next year so I can shop these great vendors not just at the holidays. Thanks for continuing to bring some wonderful weirdness to Louisville, Flea Off Market!
