I'll move this from a 2-star to a 3-star, as the recent clothes and display improvements are nice! Much appreciated, especially with the Carter's kid line & Reebok adult activewear. The Reebok pricing is quite affordable for the quality - it's worth getting fun gym clothes to feel good in there! There are also more furniture & home decor displays, which adds a premium feel. Why not 5 stars? The "revamped" checkout area is worse IMO - it funnels customers from the left and right into 1 central chokepoint, which can lengthen lines. It's also more walking to reach a checkout, as opposed to having checkout kiosks spread all across. It's also just a VERY busy Wal-Mart. I know most stores are, but this location routinely results in longer waits than any other nearby, such as the newer and nicer J'town Walmart (oh no, there goes my secret!). But as a resident of this store, I appreciate the attempt at improvements! read more

This store have made improvements recently. There are more organized shelves on the non food side with more labels. Also the long lines are now much shorter now. There are still issues with locking up certain items and lack of pet food varieties. They mainly sell dog and cat food. I show up more often for a better set up. read more

Since I was nearby at Costco my wife suggested I go to Walmart to pick up some cardboard boxes, packing tape, and tags. Although I had a helpful employee show me where the boxes, tape and tags were unfortunately there were no medium sized boxes and no sign of any tags where she said they were supposed to be. At least I found the packing tape. I ended up at the Walmart near my house to get the boxes and tags. The Bashford Manor Walmart has not improved much since the last time. read more

Want to feel like you and every other customer around you is a thief? Well, then go to this recently remodeled Walmart! There's now half height aisles that funnel everyone needing to checkout to the same entrance for the registers. There's two people there directing traffic, then at the ends of the registers (the self-check) there's another person directing traffic. So... stand in a long line (because there's only one) to then be told which lane to go to- to- you guessed it- stand in line. And of course not all the registers are open. It's a terrible set up. If anything it's amazing that Walmart has figured out how to make the check out experience even worse. Congrats on sinking to even lower lows. read more

Wal-Mart grocery delivery is pitfall. Each time you place an order the necessities are absent. I ordered $27.78 of Purdue Harvest land Perfect Portions Chicken Breast. Not available during shopping pick. They delivered 1 jalapeno pepper. One. Instead of pablano peppers. Two weeks later I ordered 4 bundles of collard greens. I received O. Zero. The order was picked and no notifications were conveyed the greens were not available. Upon delivery I checked the bags and noted they were not present. They had the audacity to send me a bag of Grippo chips I did Not order. Moving foward. No more groceries from Wal-Mart! I will only continue to use Whole Foods. Today I tried Kroger. What a difference. Extreme satisfaction. Public don't waist your hard earned money. read more

Auto center was seriously amazing. I flipped my car but it was still drivable with major body damage plus some tire issues. Customer service doesn't even deserve 1 star. Checking out tonight one of my items which is covered by fsa when I swiped my fsa card it said not fsa approved item. the item clearly states on the website that it's fsa covered. I have bought them there many times with the fsa card. went to the service desk and a very young man told me to call the fsa card services it may be something the no longer is covered. he kept telling me I was wrong. I have Parkinson's and I got so upset by the time I got to my vehicle I couldn't drive for a while. Glad the stress didn't induce a seizure. have called 3 times for a supervisor and told each time all of them are on lunch. what kind of company let's all their supervisors go on lunch at the same time? this was a horrible experience, drove to walgreens and got the same item and guess what the fsa card worked. read more

This is Walmart as it is supercenter. I usually go to this Walmart if I want to buy anything from Walmart. This is very busy, crowded place. As you see in the pictures they have not stocked up all items and ITV's always been like that. It's hard to find items as well as staff if you need any help. Staff seems like more busy talking to each other than helping customers. This is not well maintained place. Todays experience - I was there to change battery of one my watch. After waiting 20minutes and asked several employees I got the answer "we don't have part to change the batteries" really? Why you opened the station then. No apology, no solution or recommendation. Another terrible experience on western union counter, there was 3 employees were working and 2customers were in line me and other one. It took 30minutes for them to help me. (Last month). I understand people go to shopping at Walmart because their prices are low but other than that nothing seems to good. Specially long lines on weekend just going long and long every weekend. Hope they improve costumer service and keep the place clean. read more

I will admit that the pharmacy here is fairly efficient and helpful. They deserve five stars. Otherwise, when it comes to customer service, this was the absolute worst Walmart ever. The lines were mind-bendingly long. Literally two lines for about forty different people while I stood in line, and the self-serve line was even longer. There was an incident while I was in the store in which an irate customer was screaming for 10 minutes that he'd been waiting for service for over 20 minutes. It was extremely scary, as people were killed at a local Walmart a few years back. Did I forget to mention that this is the most ghetto feeling place I have ever been in? I'd say the manager needs to be fired and replaced. One opinion. read more

4/16/2024 went to Bashford Manor Walmart in Hillview to pick up a few things and get a watch battery but ended up leaving buying nothing. NO one, other than the service desk spoke english. They now have hand held translators that you talk into and STILL they are unable to help you, or give you an answer, I found this to be true through out the store, all the way to the garden dept . So I gave this walmart "little Mexico" a huge goose egg of a rating and left my basket of stuff. read more

I only hope that this Staple in the every large town has come down the wrong road. That being said. Visit this location for yourself and see what I am saying. They have items such as milk locked up as if they were a prisoners. I guess theft is huge in this location. There are buttons on the glass case so that you can press it and get someone to help you. But it is useless no one ever comes and when they do. They ask you what you want. I look at them then point at the prisoner in the glass case. It took close to 30 minutes to get someone to help me. Even then it felt like i was bothering them for having them open the case. I guess this is the best way to make sure the milk does not walk off. This will be the last time I come to this location. Steer clear of this location as the customer service is crap and the store looks like it has never been clean. I can only imagine how the workers feel when they clock in. We received a mattress shipment yesterday evening - just in time for having a guest over. As we started the process of cutting back the plastic and unraveling the mattress....we froze to a horrible sight. Something died or contaminated the mattress! To keep whatever it was from contaminating our home, it went in the back of the pick up to the store. At Walmart, we asked for a manager right away. The clerk did the return but would not help us with getting a replacement comparable as we needed the bed that night. We asked again for the manager. Another clerk came by and we explained the situation and she told us to go find what was available and come back. So we did. There was only 1 kind of Full Size mattress there. It had some similar features but not the same brand. We put it in the cart and returned as told to Customer Service. The clerk charged us full price. What??!!! We asked for a manager immediately. A lady came by and said that the manager said no. Who? What? Not even the decency to see the item and what we had to carry in and deal with? How terrible. I told the lady to have the manager talk to us personally...thinking he would see the product that was sent to us and offer an apology and something to offset the $150 extra this disaster now has cost us. But that didn't happen. At. All. A man named "Chris" was heard on all the radios that "oh suuuuure....I would looooove to talk with 'them'". He arrived bringing a crowd, and he's theatrics began. Chris told us we were stupid for buying online and that we deserve to deal with the reprocussions of that. He said that he will absolutely not apologize for any inconveniences this caused us and again repeated this being our mistake. He was rude, condescending and just down right a mean person. He embarrassed us with sarcasm and tone in front of staff that he allowed to circle him. At this point I got out my phone to record this craziness....he then fled, leaving us insulted. read more

I had one item to get, the exact isle to get it from, and to not even let someone in 20 minutes prior is insane. It would've taken me 10 minutes max. Wal-mart may be "lower prices", but they are also "slower service". There never seems to be an associate around when you need one. It's been my experience that you often have to search for someone around the paint or sporting goods department. The person you find never seems to be trained in the service you need or have access to the item you want -- so they radio someone, then you wait. And wait. And when you're done waiting, you wait some more. When you've finally been helped and you make it to the checkout lanes, there are only 3 open -- and you wait some more. Target is across the street, so for most purchases I typically just opt for their higher prices and quicker service (plus they have a Starbucks ) -- but today I needed a gallon of custom paint (which Target doesn't carry). During my 1st 10 minutes at the paint counter, I had a really nice gentleman radio for help twice, multiple associates walk by without offering assistance. When no one came, I walked to the electronics department to ask someone to page someone again. After being paged for a 3rd time, a really friendly assistant manager came to assist me. Not so sure the savings is worth the wait, but again - good quality paint. I will say -- if you're already in the store, you might as well spend another 10-15 minutes looking at other items you might need/want. Chances are, if you really take the time to stand in the store and compare prices for items on Amazon, you'll find that Wal-Mart does deliver on the low prices promise. Example: after I got my paint, I went to check out crock-pots. Walmart had a crockpot iStir for $54 -- Amazon had it for $70+ (and wasn't eligible for prime). So -- if you're NOT in a hurry, and don't live with a "time is money" mentality, you'll probably find what you need at Walmart and see some pretty interesting & entertaining things while you wait, and wait. read more

Joyce S gives amazing customer service as greeter. She is knowledgeable and caring. She knows where things are and a great personality. My wife and I are grateful for her expertise and time. Joyce is the best. She even listened to my wife at the end of our shopping of having a negative experience with the person working in self check. She was overly punitive with my wife grabbing a price scanner from the machine next to us as ours did not work. She repeatedly and in a punitive voice told my wife she is never to change price scanner handle. It was told to her 3 times, overkill and punishing. read more

I absolutely loathe going to Walmart. And I will usually avoid it at all costs. However, I needed something to help with sinus congestion and this is right by my work. Since I was on a mission for a single item, I'm happy to report that I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Surprisingly, there were plenty of checkout lanes open. Because I was buying medication, I had to show an ID. The woman working the self scan checkouts was quick to come over and scan her badge so I could continue with payment. The one thing that confused me was the amount of stocking that was taking place at 5:30 on a Monday afternoon. It seems like 3rd shift would be a more conducive time for stocking. I wouldn't do my weekly grocery shopping here but if I'm looking for medicine or a specific item (which I know is in stock), I wouldn't mind popping into this store. read more

This location of Walmart Supercenter is generally terrible. It's close to my house, so I find myself here from time to time, but I try to avoid it. Walmart is always going to be what it is.. but some locations are definitely nicer than others, and this location is at the bottom of the chain of so many others that I've visited. This store is usually crowded, ridiculously under-staffed, and dirty. If you can avoid this location I would definitely suggest shopping elsewhere. read more

My second experience with Walmart Supercenter (Super should imply Great but Not here. I tried again so I could get my flavor of yogurt. I will go to Fisherville before I go to the Supercenter again. First experience: took forty five minutes to grab someone to get my groceries, No phone number listed. Second experience: upon arrival the pickup phone rang off the hook. I actually got out and stood in the parking lot. A very nice young lady helped me. When my groceries where put in my car apparently the bag with bread & chips split down the middle. The bottles of Clear American were three to a single bag. I had to reorganize them before getting them out of the car. Those gray plastic bags will barely hold one bottle without splitting, much less three. EVER HEAR OF DOUBLE BAGGING? As of this writing i have made 20, repeat twenty, phone calls to the store with only one answer and she was snotty. Way to go Walmart Super (ha ha) center. read more

This is the worst Walmart in Louisville hands down. The workers are scare or hard to find and when you run into them they seem like you're a total bother. It's very crowded with extremely rude people and they constantly don't have things like meats, potatoes, or other staples. Like totally empty shelves. Do not go here. Run!! Ordered on-line so I could pick up in store because I didn't want a package delivered to my home when I was out of town. Items didn't arrive in the store when promised. I went to Customer Service to pick up and was told to go to Pick Up. "Pick Up" is a touch-screen machine that didn't work. The Help button did not work. Back to Customer Service multiple times until finally someone came (in slow-motion) and retrieved my items. No one apologized; no one there cares. The end. read more

This walmart falls right in line with the norm... being that there is always a huge line and terribly long wait. There are maybe 40 check out lines across the front of the store, but typically only 2-3 are ever open and are almost always only on the grocery side. The prices may be cheaper, but the service is definitely not to be liked. Even though there are people in blue shirts walking around everywhere no one seems to know where to find anything. So if you ever need help be prepared to help yourself. They have built a new money center to acommodate a large quantity of people, but it is like a unicorn sighting for it to be open any other day than friday. This creates extremely long lines in customer service which generally only has 1 person working it. And heaven forbid you need to purchase alcohol or tobacco products as those can only be purchased at 1 of 2 lines out of the 40... however generally speaking only 1 of those is open. The AWESOME thing about it is that you wouldnt know you are in the wrong line until you get to the front after a 15 -20 minute wait only to learn you have to leave the line and go to a new one and start all over. read more

Every time I visit this location I leave in tears and I'm not even kidding! The check out staff are usually rude so I opt for the self check option, but it's hit or miss if they will even allow you to use it. For example, I waited in line for the self check for over 10 minutes, but when I got up there I was asked to go to a different line because of number of items... please note, I have less than 20 items!! They are bulk items, so it does look like a full cart but even after explaining that, I was still asked to leave. On a different occasion, I probably had ~25-30 items but the store was basically empty and I was late to get back to the clinic & I was asked to leave again, even though it literally would not hold anyone up. During the same trip, I needed assistance in unlocking an item in the health & beauty section and spoke to 5 different associates and called the front twice before finally getting help 20 minutes afterwards. The store is an absolute shitshow. It's worth the extra time driving to go to a different location or just skip the hassle altogether and go to Kroger! read more

Even by the very low standards one expects from Walda-mart, this location reaches new lows for too-few and disinterested employees, unstocked shelves, and absent managers. The only reason I go there is when I can buy something cheap and stick it to the Waltons. I wouldn't dream of buying anything at full price there. This particular store has decided to be perpetually out of all the (low-profit) Great Value brands and keep only the branded merchandise on the shelves (which the vendors actually stock their shelves rather than Wald-mart employees). Over the past few months, this store has systematically dropped brands which are lowest in additives and chemicals in favor of the stuff with the worst ingredient lists: Daisy Cottage Cheese and the Oscar Mayer Selects Natural meats line come immediately to mind as relatively healthy products they have dropped in favor of the crap. Daisy is the only cottage cheese on the market whose ingredient list is not five or six lines long with a witches brew of chemicals and additives. They also stop cooking rotisserie chickens at 3:00PM. Yesterday, I went into this location and it was a filthy, unstocked mess, with too many employees just standing around talking. There is garbage all over the parking lot which has also blown down throughout the neighborhood--which is also littered with unclaimed shopping carts. This place needs new management. I'll be making the extra drive to Hurstbourne Lane where all the white people live. Having lived all over the country, and visited dozens of Walda-mart stores, I know from personal experience that affluent or gentrified neighborhoods get better resources and staffing. read more

Don't Think I will shop here again there's a peddler in the parking lot literally going up to people as they open up their trunk and unload the basket asking for money if you're sitting in your car he knocks on your window, I called Walmart twice to let them know that somebody was in the parking lot and it's probably bothering people and they did nothing then I see a car come and pick him up and bring him to the Lowe's parking lot he literally goes back-and-forth from each parking lot. I understand we are all struggling right now however going up to somebody face-to-face making them feel bad when you're getting picked up from a car you're probably taking advantage.
