There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

My son and I looked around and I found glasses I needed for a dollar a piece. I was exited because this was something I needed and would save me a lot of money. The employee who checked us out was super nice. He gave us mor einfo about the store and gave my son a free item because he was wearing a Star wars shirt. I will be back when I am in need of items for my home.

So, perhaps when I speak of Renfro sock outlet, you'll understand why I am happy with this fine retail establishment. First of all, there are a lot of socks. Surprise? Nah. They have a handful of great brands you've heard of and other brands maybe you haven't. The walls are literally lined with socks. I came in for Christmas socks, because who wouldn't want a pair or three? Very, very festive. They also have a ton of socks with all sorts of weird and interesting designs. Dogs, cats, llamas? Well yes, and more. Computers, rockets, cars, cats, and pizza. The selection really is surprising. Located right in downtown Mount Airy, Renfro socks offers a wild assortment for what I would describe as "a great deal." It's not hyperbole. You can go buy a cool pair of socks for your immediate family and probably walk away spending less than you would for a decent meal. All that, and the staff are nice and won't make fun of your potato shoes. You should come see.

We were greeted immediately by the owner, Martha , who was as friendly and nice as anybody we have ever encountered. The three of us got into a conversation that lasted for most of an hour. Martha was so friendly, cordial, interesting and anxious to learn more about us as strangers and consequently we were enamored over her background as well. Our conversation centered on our backgrounds and respective families and frankly became a highlight of our day and time in Mount Airy. She was such an interesting individual who obviously loves what she does professionally. We did end up making a small purchase from her store but moreso than the purchase the best part of the day was meeting Martha and the enjoyable conversation we all three enjoyed. Thanks, Martha. The lady working, who I believe is also one of the store owners, was very helpful and knowledgeable about her merchandise. There is a wide selection of clothes and accessories, so there are plenty of options to match your price range. I would recommend checking out the clearance racks if you are interested in Simply Southern t-shirts for a great deal.

It's not cheap but I don't know that you'll save a tremendous amount buying it from those "river" people online. Mrs. had a nice walk through the shoe department checking out some things and trying on one or two. Nothing caught her eye. Over to the men's department for curiosity sake because I don't really need any new clothes at the moment. Good styles, reasonable prices. No huge bargains but not out of whack. If I needed a new wardrobe, this would be a good stop. [Review 1764 of 2024 - 3684 in North Carolina - 22787 overall]

The store is overcrowded with racks, clothes disheveled and employees that won't even acknowledge you when you walk by them or vice versa. The parking lot outside Belk gives you a preview of what's in store. You cannot see the paint lines clearly, the exterior of the building doesn't match the part of the mall that Belk does not own. Now you're probably thinking it's this way because it's Christmas, but it's like this all the time. I'd recommend shopping at the Belk in Winston Salem, because at least down there, you can park in a decent parking lot and move through the store without tripping over a lot of fixtures while seeing a good choice of clothes. Sure, the employees still won't speak to you, but we've all grown accustomed these days to poor customer service e everywhere, right?
