As recent as yesterday, July 31, 2026, we were again in this store shopping. This store, as we've noticed the past couple years especially, has become normally trashed; clothes and stuff strewn about in the isles and thrown into shelves. This wasn't the case as recently as a few years ago when Ross was clean, tidy, great customer service, a nice shopping experience. The fitting rooms yesterday were closed to customers, I assume because of shoplifting problems(?), and we consequently saw women trying on clothes right in the isles. Kids running around loose; chaos everywhere. Observed, and am bilingual, that 98% of the trashy shoppers, 98% of the kids running loose, 98% of the ruined shopping experience was caused by undocumented immigrants. This is a regular occurrence at this store and, frankly, many other similar stores in the Winston-Salem area. The inability for store management to run a pleasant and professionally run store is driving us--the long-time dependable base of area citizen shoppers--away. Many of our friends (all ages) have said they started over the past few years to more and more buy online from Amazon and other similar retailers rather than in-store shopping like Ross. Why? Because of the chaos by mostly undocumented immigrants that's allowed to go on in the stores (like Ross), plus the lack of enough store associates to help customers. This is a management issue that severely needs addressed [and solved] for us citizens, or we will (already are) permanently go elsewhere to shop.
