Please don't get me wrong. This is a failing mall. It is nothing like the mall I remember from my…read morechildhood. But, the stores that are left, and the food spots that are left are doing their best. The workers at all of them were helpful and polite. We found some decent sales and the food was affordable. But, there's not much selection for restaurants. And there's plenty of missing amenities. Basically it's dying like every other mall in America.

There are still some nice shops here even though there are no real anchor stores, except maybe Dicks Sporting goods. I like Lost Worlds, Dumb Records, and some nice clothing stores. I wish some other stores could be coaxed in. Maybe they could try things they did in the past, such an antique shows, fashion shows for fall and spring, and the holidays. Years ago, they had first responders and police departments displaying vehicles and doing fingerprinting for children. A Costco would be nice or a furniture store. Update. Went to the mall today and saw the Christmas trees. It was very well done, I hope for more people to participate next year!! Maybe they could contact a train group and have them set up a christmas train. Or the mall could utilize the empty store fronts and put in some decorations in the windows. Some additional photo opportunities would also be nice. Gingerbread cookies would be a hit as would live christmas music or swing choirs. Contact schools and churches. Thank you for having the MOCR there.

From apples to Brita pitchers to shoes to beer and liquor!! You can find it all here. They've improved the bakery over the years and they do have a nice specialty dips and cheese section. We recently tried the Fredrik's Meijer brand frozen pizzas and they were awesome! The crust was so crispy and delicious as were the toppings. One of the things that has changed over the years is the number of employees that work the lanes. Hopefully you love to self check out these days because that's pretty much what you're going to find.

They were just so rude and no sorry no anything not even a decent nice tone!!!! This lady who was stalking shelves with glasses was very nice and helpful thanks to her I wish she was upfront or a manager! This was the worst experience ever I got here as fast as I could got here at 11:55 and got to the register by 11:59 so I should've been able to check out!!!! I couldn't find where the stuff was at one worker didn't exactly know and the product was still being unboxed, and the lady had to open it for me so if it wasn't for the store, not buying enough stock of items knowing it's summer and there's a lot of flies out and people will definitely be buying them all up, then I would've gotten my stuff in time(.) By the way the text says "Oh no! What could improve?"Maybe the managers or corporate to be smart enough to buy enough stock because eventually you'll need them anyways, so why not spend all the money? Idk but I'm pissed I have to sleep without getting what I need! And there was a mom and her poor kid so sad to not get the toy she picked out and the food they needed for the night so messed up!

I was actually blown away upon a ride. Parking from veterans Boulevard can be a bit tricky but once you're in the strip mall, this place has plenty of parking and it shouldn't be hard finding parking for yourself This place was absolutely huge for a grocery store! Where I walked in from, I was greeted by all the amenities like the : restrooms, hot food Bar, coffee bar, fresh kombucha, etc. The grocery section was very diverse and it had many options such as healthy protein shakes, great single serve meals in the freezer section and plenty of fresh cheeses as well. This store features a really cool upstairs space that I actually did not have a chance to venture to. Tons of fresh produce as well. But ultimately I sell on some of their hot food to go. A chicken breast and some mashed potatoes to go was about $5 which is absolutely good for the price. Overall, I highly recommend this store if I were to come back to the area. Stores like this are hard to find where I'm by so it's great and a grocery store like this exist in Springfield.

But I like their section of organic and love that they have a lot of produce and local organic farm items. I also love the restaurant that is inside of this place. Our family has gone a few times to eat dinner there. Their buffet brunch is pretty good. The workers have always been super friendly. They have a big free parking lot. They often have events as well. Especially during the holidays

Review Visit: July 1st, 2015…read more "Woah, trippy dude!" The destination Penny Lane Gifts was recommended to me by a friend. She made it seem like a quasi-trippy gift store that has an eclectic collection of odds and ends. Doing what I normally do, I headed down there with a few friends to check it out. Sure enough, Penny Lane is exactly like it was described. A large collection of odds and ends with something for everyone. The store itself is massive. It has a bit of a 'antique mall' layout to it. One room or section will be one theme and then walking into another room will have a different theme or layout. We saw a ton of cool things. Stuff from Star Wars to Willie Nelson to Harley Davidson. There is something there for anyone and everyone. I recommended this place to my dad and he loved it. He found himself some cool things to get, despite not being a materialistic person himself. My favorite room was the Black Light room, as seen in the main photo above. It was trippy. I've been around black lights before and have seen the effects it has on things, but the extent of these black rooms was intense and immense. Everything illuminated. Everything glowed. I didn't end up buying anything there but I did see a few things I was interested in. My next trip back, I will definitely be picking up a few things to spruce up my home. Woah.
