The food is obviously good due to wait for a table and the amount of folks for to go orders. However.....PACK YOUR PATIENCE if you are dining in. It took every bit of 30 minutes plus for the food to come to the table and as we sat for 30 minutes (maybe 40) the table of folks who was sitting before us got their food within 5 minutes of us sitting and waiting. Was it worth the wait....yes! Food was great.

People were nice and the banana pudding treat was delicious! It was a tad bit too sweet for me but pretty good.

Amazing! Attentive service, delicious food, reasonably priced and more than I could eat. Wish I had taken a picture of the smothered chicken, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, cabbage and cornbread muffin. Husband had dark fried chicken, greens, fried okra & mashed potatoes. We did get these brownies to go and they are as delicious & moist as they look.

Refer to my first interview. Nothing has changed. Food is still better than any soul food restaurant I've ever visited.

Had their food for a local event, and honestly it was great for free food and average otherwise. I felt that the mac and cheese was pretty flavorless and so was most of the rest of the food. It wasn't bad, but definitely not the best around here. They also gave us a cookie, which was kind of dry and also very average. All in all not bad, just not really anything super special.

The macaroni & cheese has no flavor. The cake was old and dry I can tell a fresh red velvet cake and this wasn't it.

This is the second time I visited this restaurant. And I must say it was the same experience. My macaroni& cheese had no flavor. It look like they ran out and has to fix some really quick. My collards had no flavor either. The pork chop was good and tender. I ask did ice tea. It tasted more like lemonade. So I'm not sure if they ran out of tea or not. I won't revisit.

We were looking for somewhere that sold soul food an open on Sunday. I remembered Big Mama's and we decided to check them out. I was pleased with the menu and everything was good. I would only say if you don't like really sweet tea add little extra water. Overall we really enjoyed everything. I had smothered chicken, Mac and cheese and green beans and my husband had chitterlings over rice, greens and rutabaga. We will try them again.

Each time we head to Charleston, we stop in Augusta to eat at Big Mama's Soul Food Restaurant. Never have we been disappointed!! Great Pork Chops and Collards! Everything we have ordered was always good. Of course when we come through again, We Will Stop!!

The customer service could've been better. The food was way too salty. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

We were put onto this place through a couple friends and we haven't stopped talking about it since…read more Natta and Angie were so incredibly welcoming and sweet. If you've never been there, they will start you out with samples of all of their lemonade (which all of them are incredibly flavorful) and you'll inevitably get one because it's THAT good. The staff comes with recommendations to help you navigate the menu and they are so attentive and helpful. I'd go as far to say that they had some of the best service in Augusta. Now to the food, 10/10 I could not recommend them enough. I've had the honey lemon pepper wings and the loyalty platter. And it was so good. The honey lemon pepper wings were full of deep flavor and they give you at-least 10 wings with the plate. The steak and shrimp are the best seasoned meats I've ever had at a restaurant. I've also had a few nibbles of their seafood and ‍. Then when you're ready for dessert, don't worry you get samples too. The blue velvet is my favorite but all of them are award winning so you can't go wrong when it comes to Nattas sweet treats. Over all, great experience, great people, and great place. Get out and support local, it'll never disappoint. P.S. if you think it's pricey, you're wrong. You get what you pay for here. You get no less than two meals out of one plate.

The portion sizes are generous and very tasty. I made a Southern Palmer with their Peach Tea and Unsweetened Ice Tea 1/2 & 1/2 of both mixed together, was the perfect beverage to pair with the Honor Platter. I finished the honorable meal with The Strawberry Velvet Cake Brownie & Red Velvet Brownie dessert pairing. The service from when I stepped in, while eating and leaving was exceptional, inviting and very pleasant. Shurell was fabulous, vibrant and a fresh of breath air. I highly recommend Kitchen Kings x Natta's Sweet Bakery to discover Augusta's Hidden Gem off Gordon Hwy. The Ambiance was the perfect R&B Vibe for a casual, sexy Saturday. The music Playlist was the perfect R&B garnish to the entire dining experience. I will be back for their Low Country Boil & the wonderful Strawberry Velvet Cake. Kings Kitchen x Natta's Sweet Bakery will not disappoint you. In fact, it will make ypur day better. Please honor my review and take a taste for yourself today and dine like a King or Queen mixed with sweetness from the Bakery.

This is going to a bad review; I even gave it a night's rest so I wouldn't be overly critical. So…read morethat my review is read with an open mind, I caveat it with the fact that I have only been here once, so my experience may be unique. Even so, I will not give the place a second chance. I stopped by Daddy's Southern Soul Food for a quick lunch; I did not know that Chef Redd gave up this location for his new place on Gordon Highway. The menu looked interesting, though, so I thought I'd give it a shot. My plan was to use my hour lunch break to buy something quick to-go rather than spend the time to cook something for myself at home. I ordered a salisbury steak and a two-piece fish meal. I was told it would take eight minutes to cook the fish. FORTY MINUTES LATER, the woman at the window handed me my order. She asked, "Do you know why your order took so long?" "Of course I don't know why my order took so long... aren't you supposed to tell me that?" "Well, the order that came before you was a call-in. Because we had to take care of that, and I'm the only one here, I couldn't take care of your order." Choosing to avoid pointing out that this failure was the responsibility of the establishment, I replied, "When I ordered at 12:30 p.m., you told me it would take eight minutes to prepare the fish. It is now 1:10 p.m. I don't have time to eat lunch anymore." "Why can't you take it to work?" Really? I told the woman thanks and I left. On my drive out, a man came out of the building and flagged me down. He told me that he was sorry. Not knowing who this man was, I asked him why he was apologizing, to which he responded with, "I don't know; she told me I should apologize." This man must be the owner/manager and he doesn't know what happened. I told him my story, to which he offered me a 15% discount on my next meal. FIFTEEN PERCENT. Inconvenience of this magnitude, on top of the incredible customer service, warrants more on the order of a free meal than a discount that you would give to family members. To top it off, during my forty minute wait, he was texting on his cell phone on a bench outside of the restaurant. So much for the help. I doubt that this "restaurant" generates the revenue to afford to lose customers, but lose one it did. I could forgive much if the food was good, but it was no better than a frozen dinner from a grocery store. And for the convenience, I advise grabbing one of those anyway.

I ordered the Cali Bowl - Miso Salmon (added blackened shrimp) and fries WITH NO SALT as an APPETIZER! My buddy orders wings and a salad. His salad comes out promptly but no fries. The food comes out shortly after and he says the wings are great. Great for him! My fries finally make an appearance and are overly salty. I reminded the waitress they were requested unsalted so she took them back. By the time she'd returned with the new batch of fries, which was quite prompt, I'd mixed the ingredients of my Cali Bowl only to discover that it was lukewarm at best. The fries tasted refried, soaked with grease. The third time was a charm for the fries. I'd mentioned temperature of the bowl and although she'd offer to have it remade, it was quicker to reheat it, thus my request. It came back slightly warmer but not enough to eat. At this point, I was over it and just packed it up to take home. It wasn't the best visit but it definitely wasn't the worst. The croissants are the reason I'm sure I'll be back.
