Usually very good. My wife usually gets the vegiesaurus and I mix it up. The Reuben is very good in my opinion. The three star review is for my last visit, where I ordered a BLT. My sandwich maker appeared to be new and had no idea how to make this sandwich. Asked me what kind of bread I wanted to start out with. Didn't toast it. Asked if I wanted mustard, lettuce and tomato. Anything else...cheese? OK, he was young and apparently in training and looking at the menu, I don't see a BLT listed. Really!! I'm older, you could probably tell because I didn't use IMO above, but seriously, a BLT has most of the ingredients in its name. If you know IMO, you should know BLT. LOL! read more

About 10 tables inside and 2 outside. They are well staffed and the line moves quickly. They have one person slicing meat as the order comes up. There is a separate prep area for the hot sandwiches. The Ruben was stacked high with meat and saurkrout. There is great value for what you buy. A small is a 6 inch sub and a large is a foot long. If you have not been here, try them out. read more

This seemed like a typical sandwich shop when we first walked. The first thing you notice is the is the delightful mix of smells - vinegar, cold cuts, veggies, and bread. The sandwich selection is nice with some pretty interesting options. We chose the Philly cheesesteak with just onions - it normally comes with onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. Omg why didn't I find out about this place before?! The customer service was nice and boy do they get crowded. We ordered the #22 (Philly cheesesteak) and it was amazing. The tea was not too sweet but just right. Now there was one issue, we ordered and paid for large subs but they gave us the smaller ones. They corrected it by giving us what they made and gave us the differences in Togo boxes. The Philly was made fresh, and the bread was nice and soft. It wasn't too hard or soggy. We knew the Philly was going to be good when we seen the grease on the basket lol. We ate so fast we didn't even take a photo. The meatball sub I got wasn't great. It was basically 2 meatballs and square cheese on the top. I've heard many great things about this place it just wasn't up to the expectations. I think the first thing that really stuck out was the fact that dish shop support military. It basically said Thank Marines Army National Guard Coast Guard Air Force. And that's one thing I loved about it not just the food which I purchased a french dip sandwich with aus Jun sauce. I love the fact that this place support our military and what the men and women have done for us. I love that and I wish they were more restaurants that show their support for our veterans. Visibly dirty. Entire place was dirty. Walls, floors, countertops, etc. Everything needs to be cleaned and sanitized-and on a regular, daily basis. The meat slicer had food caked on it in multiple places. It looked like the meat residue had been there a while, too. Not just from slicing meat on that particular day. Unfortunate, because it's obviously a popular place with a following. I would not eat there again unless owner, management, and staff took cleanliness way more seriously. Got the double decker Reuben with thousand island (they offer spicy mustard too, but that's blasphemous) and it's what I think I've been missing in my sandwich eating repertoire. Probably the best reuben I've had in Aiken (since Stop light deli closed) and will definitely be back again! Bread could have been toasted a little more but still delicious and very fulfilling. Sweet tea like your 101 year old grandma used to make. I almost drank a gallon I think. Fast, very friendly service and all at a reasonable price for lunch.
